His blog is down and his e-mail addresses are bouncing.
Update: I just thought I would let everyone know. I did a lookup for Bruce in his hometown of Ohio. I did find a number for him, I called and left a message for what was hopefully Bruce’s number. I do suspect that one of these happened:
- His blog was possibly hacked and his host could not restore it; and he decided to pack it in because of that.
- Bruce does still have family within the IFB or Independent Fundamental Baptist circles. It is totally possibly that Bruce got some negative pushback from family or from someone in the IFB movement and he decided it was not worth going to war with them over it.
Either way, it kind of saddens me that Bruce left again; and I do hope he comes back. If he blog traffic is not terribly heavy, I would be willing to host his site here, as an sub off of my server here. Only thing I would ask for is a little help with the hosting. There would be no interference whatsoever with his blog. I would just help set it back up for him.
If anyone hears anything about Bruce and to what is going on, if you would please, leave me a message in the comments section of my blog.

MASSIVE HIGH UPDATE AND PLEASE EVERYONE READ THIS! – I received a phone call from a gentleman down in Ohio, near Columbus. It appears that the number that happens to be listed on the Internet for Bruce, is not Bruce’s at all and has not been his for a very long time. So, please DO NOT CALL THAT NUMBER LOOKING FOR BRUCE, BECAUSE IT DOES NOT BELONG TO HIM AT ALL!

Hello everyone. Bruce’s blog is back up. He offers a brief explanation for his absence. Also, he was hacked and it sounds like he apparently lost a lot of his previous writings, which is a shame. Just thought you’d all like to know.

wow, i got a jolted prompting to find bruces blog tonight. haven’t read it in awhile.i had to just find it. you know i only read through his blog a half a dosen times, and i was hooked. he suffers with chronic pain (so do I). has six kids (so do i). and left a right-wing fundamentalist extremist church (so did i). he was a keeper. one blog post he was in tears about how he felt he abused his church with all that mumbo jumbo theology. i was in tears. see in my eyes………bruce is a man of great humility. i really believe he’s one of Gods. and no worries, i will not pray for bruce, i respect that when he says don’t pray for me. but my spirit inside me does naturally call out for him tonight. bruce, if you ever read this. i had my baby. take time to refresh, and relax from on-line world a little. come back when ya ready — nancy. i get over-loaded too. so it’s ok to put the brakes on. rest those achy joints, and get sweet deep sleep. helps with the pain cycle. in my thoughts…
Like others, I wound up here looking for signs of Bruce. I was one of his regular Christian readers because I shared his politics and admired his writing. Yes, he does have a history of vanishing and reappearing. Bruce, if you’re reading this, could you please, next time, just flat out say goodbye instead of vanishing without a word? It worries people who care about you.
