A question to ALL political bloggers!

I wanted to post this when it happened, but my Dad is in the hospital and I couldn’t.

I post this to pose a question to the blogging world:

Hillary said it too:

As did President Obama:

Now my question to the blogging world; Conservative, Republican, Liberal and Democrat alike is this: Can’t we all just try to get along a little better?

I mean, we can all have our opinions and political positions. But, can’t we just try to be a little bit more civil to one another? Please? Embarrassed smileI don't know smile

Congrats to Mustang Bobby for 13 years at Bark Bark Woof Woof

I believe some congrats are in order here:

So here we are, thirteen years, three residences, two Mustangs, two presidents, four presidential campaigns, and over 25,000 posts later, and I’m still getting up every morning and writing every post. In fact, in all these years, only two posts were written by people other than me and they did it because I was incommunicado because of hurricanes (thank you, CLW and Brian).

But not a day has gone by that I haven’t come up with something to post. Sometimes it’s passionate, sometimes it’s silly or snarky or just for the fun of it. I’ve shared good times — having a play go to New York — and I’ve shared some tough times. There have been very few things I haven’t covered in the last thirteen years, and the only test I have for choosing what to write about is will it be worth sharing with the people who read this.

I’ve made a lot of friends, forged new pathways of self-discovery, learned so much, and been touched by people I only know through nicknames and pixels. There are so many people I want to thank for being here and being there for me. As I said at the outset, I couldn’t do this without you, dear reader, and I hope that in these years I’ve enlightened you, provoked you, maybe even pissed you off on occasion. The one thing I hope I haven’t done is bore you.

So with that said, I’ll ask what I always ask: What’s next? – Source: Thirteen Years Of Bark Bark Woof Woof | Bark Bark Woof Woof

Bark Bark Woof Woof was one of the blogs that I used to read quite a bit, when I was rooting for the Democrats. He is a bit of a moderate, and that is a good thing. I always liked Bobby’s stuff and he is a hard working school teacher, which is an honorable job and a tough one at that.

I hope he doesn’t mind hearing it from me. But, Congrats Bobby!

On a totally sort-kinda related note: When writing this, I kept wanting to type Booby, instead of Bobby. I hate that! Congrats Booby! 😆

Some thoughts on Donald Trump’s win

There’s a post title I never thought that I would actually write.

First off, let me say this: I think it was absolutely unprofessional, ungraceful, uncouth and downright spiteful — of Hillary Rodham Clinton to not come out and address her supporters and basically tell them that she was going to lose.

In fact, I don’t even look for her to call her supporters back to that hotel. But rather, I look for her to do a short press conference giving a concession speech and look for her to disappear off the world stage for a very long time.

I think one of the biggest mistakes that the liberal media made, as well as the Democrat Party and Hillary Clinton’s campaign is that they were stupid enough to actually think that the American people were not actually listening to what Donald Trump was saying. But rather focusing on the media sideshow that followed him around. This was a serious miscalculation on the entire left” part.

I believe also that the Democrat Grassroots was suffering from what I like to call Post Obama depression. Basically the Democrat Party counted on the black vote and Latino vote to propel Hillary Clinton into the White House and that simply did not happen this time around and I believe it’s because Black America felt like they had been let down by President Obama and they felt that this black guy did nothing for us; that this white woman sure as hell wasn’t going to do it either.

Also happen to know that in 2008 a lot of Libertarians and independents and other such type of people, who normally didn’t vote Democrat, did just that; because either they didn’t like John McCain or they had this idea that a black president was a wonderful novelty… that didn’t happen this time.

I think another reason why Clinton lost was just simply the fact that a lot of people saw Clinton as a retread of the 1990s and not to mention the fact that she had alot of scandals following her around and doging her candidacy.

I think the two big things that deep-sixed her candidacy for president, was when she referred to Trump supporters as a basket full of ddeplorable and when James Comey made the announcement that he made about the investigation. Those two things ruined her chances of winning.

Get out and VOTE!

Janet Reno Dead at 78

I wish I really could muster some sympathy for this dreadful woman.

Via the NYT:

The Butcher of Waco

Janet Reno, who rose from a rustic life on the edge of the Everglades to become attorney general of the United States — the first woman to hold the job — and whose eight years in that office placed her in the middle of some of the most divisive episodes of the Clinton presidency, died on Monday at her home in Miami-Dade County, Fla. She was 78.

Her sister, Margaret Hurchalla, said the cause was complications of Parkinson’s disease, which was diagnosed in November 1995, while she was still in office.

Ms. Reno’s tenure as attorney general was bracketed by two explosive events: a deadly federal raid on the compound of a religious cult in Waco, Tex., in 1993, and, in 2000, the government’s seizing of Elián González, a young Cuban refugee who was at the center of an international custody battle and a political tug of war.

In those moments and in others Ms. Reno was applauded for displaying integrity and a willingness to accept responsibility, but she was also fiercely criticized. Republicans accused her of protecting President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore when, in 1997, she refused to allow an independent counsel to investigate allegations of fund-raising improprieties in the White House.

Why do I say that, you ask?

These images might help:

Please, GO HERE TO THIS LINK to see Reno’s handiwork.

So, no, I will not feel any pity for this woman, at all. She could have ordered the FBI and ATF to stand down; and just waited Koresh out. But, no, she ordered them in and this is what happened. She is very much to blame, as is the ATF and FBI. Koresh was too. But, the biggest blame is to her. So, no, I will not morn her death, at all. May she BURN in the devil’s hell for eternity.

In case you are wondering….

In case you are wondering why I am posting so much here as of late. The truth is a found a tool to make blog posting a whole bunch easier! Open-mouthed smile

I am using what is called Open Live Writer. Now, here is the story on it. Windows used to have a program called “Windows Live Writer”, that went along with it’s “Windows Live” package and it was very awesome. Well, Windows basically discontinued that package and many bloggers, like me; were left in the lurch. Sad smileCrying face Well, some very smart people somehow or another got the source code to the original program and have continued development of it.

Needless to say, when I found this program, I was over the moon happy! Hot smileOpen-mouthed smile

So, things around here will be picking up a bit, now that I have my tool back! Winking smile

With SJW’s nothing is sacred, not even kids

Saw this over at The American Conservative, Rod Dreher writes:

You may recall the recent post here revealing that Highlights For Children, the venerable magazine, had come under fire from SJWs for its policy of not featuring families headed by gay couples in the magazine, out of a willingness to allow parents of the magazine’s young subscribers the opportunity to talk to their children about homosexuality as they considered appropriate.

Well, the SJWs got their scalp. A reader forwarded me the correspondence between herself and the magazine around the issue. She kept writing, trying to get a straightforward answer about whether or not the magazine was going to feature same-sex families. Finally, out of frustration, she cancelled her family’s subscription, and told the magazine, “I think Highlights should continue being what it is and leave conversations about this sort of thing up to families.

This is the e-mail she got back:

Dear [Name],

Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry that we were slow to respond.

Although I see that you have already canceled your subscription, I thought it still important to answer your questions about what Highlights means when we say we plan to be more fully reflective of all families, including families with same-sex parents.

As you know, Highlights publications focus on kids. We are general interest magazines, and we publish fiction and nonfiction of all types, as well as games, puzzles, jokes, and crafts. Our target audience is kids under the age of 12, most under the age of 8 or 9.

The themes we cover in our magazines are broad and universal—relatable to children trying to navigate childhood. Because children are our focus, we rarely show a full family in our illustrations, instead focusing on showing the child the reader relates to. When a parent is shown or integrated in a story, it is frequently just one parent because a good 800-word children’s story cannot support too many different characters.

When we do show families in the magazines, we make it a point to include diversity. We strive to be diverse in every way. The goal, however, is not to specifically call attention to diversity but instead to help kids understand that while differences exist, we are all actually more alike than different. For instance, from time to time we show families headed up by a grandparent or single parents. We show adoptive families, blended families, multi-generational families, and multi-racial families. In the future, we will depict same-sex families in our magazines in a manner consistent to the way all diverse families are depicted. This is in support of our mission to help children become their best selves and understand that all families, including theirs, are important.

We’re sorry to lose you as a subscriber, but I hope this email helps to clarify our position.

Sincerely,

Christine Cully

Jerry Pournelle needs our prayers

It seems that something bad has happened.

See here:

Sunday morning – this morning although it’s after midnight now so maybe I mean yesterday morning – I discovered that Roberta had suffered a stroke during the night. I called 911. The firemen responded almost instantly.

We spent the day first at the St. Joseph’s Emergency Room (where the firemen took me after my stroke), then at the Kaiser Emergency Room where she was taken by ambulance arranged by Kaiser, then finally in the Kaiser main hospital. Alex was with me for essentially the entire time. My second son, Frank, who lives in Palm Springs, drove up as soon as he could. Our youngest son, Richard, flew in from DC and just got here.

Roberta appears to be about where I was after my stroke. She can’t really talk yet, but she’s aware of what’s going on around her. We’re trying to arrange rehab at Holy Cross where I was retaught how to swallow, walk, and do all the other things people do.

I’m trying to be calm, but I’m scared stiff.

and here:

Roberta said several words last night, and I have hopes. She thanks you all for your prayers and good wishes. More later; we’re going to the hospital now.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to Jerry during this time.
