This is pretty much dead on

Erick Rush writing at Canada Free Press, which has a ton more ads that I will ever have here:

On November 19, Pravda’s Xavier Lerma wrote an article asserting that President (I use the term loosely) Barack Obama had been re-elected “by an illiterate society.” Some conservatives have been wont to dismiss and ridicule some of the dead-on assessments of the former Soviet newspaper since it was once in fact a Soviet newspaper.

Some of this dismissal and ridicule did occur relative to Lerma’s piece; I think however, that such observations made by those who have been there and done that ought to be considered, if not heeded.

Lerma writes “He [Obama] is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so… His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia.  Obama’s fools and Stalin’s fools share the same drink of illusion.”

Sounds pretty dead-on if you ask me…

[…]

Over the past two weeks, congressional lawmakers have been posturing over the “fiscal cliff” upon which America is allegedly teetering, and the resulting debate on taxes: Obama wants to raise taxes; the Republicans in Congress ostensibly want to cut spending; the Democrats offer some spending cuts in trade for raising taxes, and so on… Considering the intellectual indolence of the American public thus far, I suppose there’s no reason for Congress and the Obama administration to believe we’d call them out for this blatant display of smoke and mirrors.

With the knowledge that increasing income taxes to 100% on all earners in the US, and confiscating every dollar we currently possess wouldn’t make a ding in the national debt or the deficit, let alone a dent, it becomes obvious that all of the maneuvering by Republican lawmakers is mere pretense. Why not simply detail the detrimental effects that raising taxes will have on the economy?

Perhaps because they don’t want advertise these facts to the American public any more than Obama does…

While it might be a no-brainer to you and me, the average non-partisan American voter will not be aware that this is the worst possible time for Republicans to be conciliatory with regard to this administration on any issue. Thus, they will perceive Republicans as obstructionist if they do not compromise with evil. Any Republican lawmaker possessed of the knowledge of Obama’s intent ought to be fighting him at every possible turn as a matter of course, publicity be damned.

I would also submit that there aren’t any GOP lawmakers who are sufficiently stupid or uninformed not to know that Obama is taking us down the road to communism. If they presume to this, they are engaging in deception.

Spot on. I would suggest that you go read all of that.

But yet, Alexander Calloway is the victim.

What a freaking joke. 🙄

HOUSTON—As family members of a man who was shot by a Valero clerk in southeast Houston called for the store clerk’s arrest, the store owner released surveillance video.

Alexander Calloway, 21, and his two cousins were trying to enter the gas station on Martin Luther King and Belarbor around 3:30 a.m., but the store was locked.

The young men got into an argument with the clerk, who unlocked his door and came outside, police said.

Someone punched the clerk in the face and the clerk pulled out his gun and shot Calloway in the stomach, according to HPD.

Calloway’s cousins rushed him to a fire station on Cullen at Selinsky, and paramedics transported him to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.

The Video Story:

Moonbattery calls this Alexander Calloway fool, “A hoodlum of politically privileged pigmentation.” Indeed he is. This guy gets into an argument with the clerk and then punches the clerk in the face and then, the clerk pulls out his gun and shoots the guy, in self-defense; and the clerk is at fault. I think not. 😡

What gets me is Calloway’s Father saying, “He didn’t have to shoot my son.” Well, old man, if your miserable piece of crap son, was home where he should have been, instead of out catting around with his friends, who also had guns; maybe he would still be alive. Instead, he is dead, at the hands of own damned foolishness, and no amount of your race-baiting boo hoo’ing is going to bring him back. Now, shut the hell up and accept that your idiot son was a fool and paid the ultimate price for it.

Again folks, as I have written here a thousand times and on my old blog; these are Obama’s people, these are the ones, the handout society that voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012. We have four more years of this stupidity too. Enjoy. 🙄

They’d better quit with the hope and do something

Because if this here is any indication, we’re screwed.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Fears of going over the fiscal cliff were showing signs of receding on Wednesday, as both Speaker John Boehner and President Barack Obama indicated optimism about reaching a deal and U.S. stock markets rose.

In comments early Wednesday morning, Boehner said he was “optimistic that we can continue to work together to avert this crisis, and sooner rather than later.” The comments helped send U.S. stock markets higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI:DJIA)   lately up about 78 points and the S&P 500 up 6 points. See Market Snapshot.

Obama, speaking at the White House, said he’s hopeful about striking a deal before Christmas.

“Our ultimate goal is an agreement that gets our long-term deficit under control in a way that is fair and balanced,” Obama said. “And I believe that both parties can agree on a framework that does that in the coming weeks.” Read more MarketWatch fiscal cliff coverage.

In a sign of intensifying negotiations, the Treasury said that Secretary Tim Geithner will hold talks on Thursday separately with Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, Boehner, and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. White House legislative director Rob Nabors will also participate.

Geithner will “continue discussing the actions we need to take to keep our economy growing and find a balance approach to reduce our deficit,” a Treasury statement said.

Chief among the sticking points: how to deal with competing positions on raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans. Obama on Wednesday again urged Congress to pass a bill extending tax breaks for all but the wealthiest 2% of Americans. Republicans insist that lower rates continue for all earners.

A bit less, “Well, I hope we can.” and more of getting down to business and getting it done, would be very nice. Of course, the Obama Administration’s more interested in killing business and capitalism; and maybe even bringing down our capitalistic system, than he is saving the Country.

I’m just saying.

BP should tell the USA, “Hasta la vista!”

Because this is nothing more than this Presidential Administration trying to run this oil company out of business:

WASHINGTON — Government officials have temporarily banned BP from new federal contracts because of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon blowout and oil spill that killed 11 workers and polluted hundreds of miles of Gulf of Mexico shoreline.

The Environmental Protection Agency said Wednesday that it was taking the action because of BP’s “lack of business integrity” demonstrated by the accident and the company’s inability to curb the flow of oil into the gulf. BP pleaded guilty earlier this month to federal criminal charges arising from the disaster and agreed to pay $4.5 billion, including $1.26 billion in criminal penalties.

The suspension will be effective “until the company can provide sufficient evidence to E.P.A. demonstrating that it meets federal business standards,” the agency said in a statement. The action does not affect the company’s existing federal contracts.

BP had no immediate comment on the announcement.

The British oil company is one of the American government’s largest contractors, 45th with $1.47 billion in federal business in 2011, according to a ranking compiled by the General Services Administration. The company’s biggest customer is the United States Department of Defense, to which it provides more than $1 billion a year in fuel.

via United States Temporarily Suspends BP From New Contracts – NYTimes.com.

If I were BP oil, I would tell the EPA and the Obama Administration, “When your reign of terror is over, we will come back. Until then, we are out of here.”

Because it is quite obvious to this writer that the Obama Administration trying to break this oil company’s back or force them to leave the Country. Therefore, I would give them what they wanted and I would end the North American Operations of BP and sell off all the American company assets to the highest bidder and get out of the American oil business until the end of Obama’s term.

If Obama is that desperate to see the American oil industry handed over to his Arab friends, than I would allow that to happen; so that Americans can see just what kind of person that he really is. Which is someone who cares about American workers and America itself, as he does about his own socks.

A good example of why congress and house members, and staff should always be ARMED

See below:

Some protesters dropped trou to launch a protest at House Speaker John Boehner’s office in the Longworth House Office building in Washington.

U.S. Capitol Police public information officer Shennell Antrobus confirmed: “three females arrested for lewd and indecent acts in the Speaker’s Longworth office. Demonstrators disbursed that area.”

This is an office across the street from the Capitol Building. The speaker, who has a plush suite of offices in the Capitol Building, never works in the district office, so he wasn’t privy, as it were, to the privates.

via Naked Protesters Occupy John Boehner’s House Office – ABC News.

If these staffers had been armed with guns, this would have never happened.

Also:

It’s unclear why the naked women were arrested, but the naked man in the picture was not.

Let’s see here:

Because he was black, most likely. We do have a black President you know.

Again, armed staff would have stopped this; most liberals when they see guns, tend to flee the scene.

Peggy Noonan knows what I have known for a long while too.

Please, go check out her latest. She writes so elegantly. If I wrote half as good as she did; I would be a multi-millionaire.

Peggy writes:

He faced big problems—an economic crash, two wars—but those crises gave him broad latitude. All of his stars were perfectly aligned. He could do anything.

And then it all changed. At a certain point he lost the room.

Books will be written about what happened, but early on the president made two terrible legislative decisions. The stimulus bill was a political disaster, and it wasn’t the cost, it was the content. We were in crisis, losing jobs. People would have accepted high spending if it looked promising. But the stimulus was the same old same old, pure pork aimed at reliable constituencies. It would course through the economy with little effect. And it would not receive a single Republican vote in the House (three in the Senate), which was bad for Washington, bad for our politics. It was a catastrophic victory. It did say there was a new boss in town. But it also said the new boss was out of his league.

via Noonan: How Far Obama Has Fallen – WSJ.com.

I remember that well, very well. I remember thinking, “Why is Obama doing this backwards? Why is he spending and tinkering with health care, instead of working on making a climate for job growth?”

Indeed, Obama was over his head.

Remember this come November 6.

NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg exploits hurricane Sandy for political purposes

As you all remember, I hollered at people on the right and the left for doing it and even praised Chris Christie for not making hurricane sandy into a political issue.

Well, true to his partisan hack self; the idiotic Mayor of New York City endorses the President and cites, yes, climate change as his reason. Seriously.

Via Bloomberg:

The devastation that Hurricane Sandy brought to New York City and much of the Northeast — in lost lives, lost homes and lost business — brought the stakes of Tuesday’s presidential election into sharp relief.

The floods and fires that swept through our city left a path of destruction that will require years of recovery and rebuilding work. And in the short term, our subway system remains partially shut down, and many city residents and businesses still have no power. In just 14 months, two hurricanes have forced us to evacuate neighborhoods — something our city government had never done before. If this is a trend, it is simply not sustainable.

Our climate is changing. And while the increase in extreme weather we have experienced in New York City and around the world may or may not be the result of it, the risk that it might be — given this week’s devastation — should compel all elected leaders to take immediate action.

Here in New York, our comprehensive sustainability plan — PlaNYC — has helped allow us to cut our carbon footprint by 16 percent in just five years, which is the equivalent of eliminating the carbon footprint of a city twice the size of Seattle. Through the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group — a partnership among many of the world’s largest cities — local governments are taking action where national governments are not.

Go read the rest of that mind-numbing stupidity. Let me be clear here, I am not saying that I deny climate change at all. I simply believe that it is an unsettled science and I also believe that it is a science and cause that got horrible politicized by the left. I also believe that the results of the science, so far — have been horrible hyped by the left. Global warming studies and climate change studies ought be done away from anyone having anything remotely to do with politics.

In other words, I would like to have the studies done with some sort of integrity. Furthermore, I believe this science should not be a political football or wedge issue. Just like the auto industry, whom my Father actually worked in for 31 years. The auto industry became a political football, because of the TARP loans. This was disappointing to me, because when the auto industry is in your family like that, to see something that many men and woman worked to build for so many years; become a political football — it just hurts. Sad Before anyone says it; Yes, I know about the Romney ad. I was not happy to read about that and I wish Romney had not went there, at all. But, that, as they say, is politics.

Just like this endorsement — it is politics — and sometimes, politics sucks.

Gingrich should put up or shut up

I would hate to think that Gingrich is playing politics with this stuff.

On Tuesday night’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” on the Fox News Channel, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that major news networks might have secret emails proving that the White House canceled plans to assist the besieged U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

Gingrich said that the bombshell emails could be revealed within the next two days.

“There is a rumor — I want to be clear, it’s a rumor — that at least two networks have emails from the National Security Adviser’s office telling a counterterrorism group to stand down,” Gingrich said. “But they were a group in real-time trying to mobilize marines and C-130s and the fighter aircraft, and they were told explicitly by the White House stand down and do nothing. This is not a terrorist action. If that is true, and I’ve been told this by a fairly reliable U.S. senator, if that is true and comes out, I think it raises enormous questions about the president’s role, and Tom Donilon, the National Security Adviser’s role, the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, who has taken it on his own shoulders, that he said don’t go. And that is, I think, very dubious, given that the president said he had instructions they are supposed to do everything they could to secure American personnel.”

via Gingrich: Senator told me networks may have White House emails commanding counterterrorism group to stand down on Benghazi rescue | The Daily Caller.

Well, it is like this here; if Gingrich knows which Networks has them, he should really name them or shut up. This is not a good time for political brinksmanship. Plus, this Libya thing is a military tragedy and should not really politicized.

Just my opinion.
