Crybaby Republicans?

I hate to be a jerk about things… But, the whining and crying of Republican right and the Conservative right is getting to be a bit much.

I mean, could this be the new symbol of the Republican Party?

I am saying all this, because I read, with some level of amusement about this blogger’s “oh so horrible heart wrenching tale” of losing his so precious insurance to the horrible marxist negro president! (yes, that is sarcasm….) The video, which is here; is so damned phony and sappy; that it borders parody.

I wrote this before; but it bears repeating:

It just gets old. I mean, Republicans have no right to complain about this Obamacare debacle. It is their fault that we even have this disaster on our hands. If they had actually selected a candidate that could have actually won the Presidency in 2008 and 2012; and not had a Republican who basically was traitor to the party, who voted for the bill —- we would not be in this spot in the first place.

The way I see it; the Republicans ought to just man up, suck it up, pay for the insurance and shut the hell up and next time, not choose someone who cannot win an election. 

I hate repeating myself; but using one’s medical problems as some sort of a bumper sticker of just how damned horrible the President’s healthcare law is, just strikes me as freaking lame. I mean, the Republicans and Conservatives said the same thing about John Edwards and his son; so, I think it is high time that Republicans actually started following their own advice. 

In other words, send the damned medical bills to John McCain and Mitt Romney; they own a few houses, they can pick up the tab! 😀

Update: I thought I would add this before the hate brigade comes after me. I have not worked since 2005 for anyone else; other than writing on all the blogs that I have written on, including this one. I have NO medical insurance at all — none, zero, nada. My parents have to foot my medical bills. So, when I hear some conservative griping and whining about losing his insurance, I have to laugh! Try not having any at all, asshole! 😡

Again, just pay your higher premiums and quit your silly belly aching about it! You stupid rich, elitist idiot! 😡

Edited to Add: Those of you calling me a leech. You expose yourselves as the elitist, out of touch, douche-nozzles that you truly  are.  You would rather me not have any sort of treatment for my A.D.H.D. , Diabetes and High Blood Pressure;  you would rather that I just die off and not be a burden on my parents; who by the way, don’t have a problem helping me out. For what it is worth, I will be calling Monday and seeing if I can sign up on Michigan’s expanded Medicare program. Hopefully, I can get on it. So, yeah, no thanks to Bush and Obama’s handling of the economy; I am getting State Government healthcare, that you rich, out of touch elitist neoconservatives will be paying for.  Way I see it: You all should be paying for it, seeing your boy, Dubya screwed our Country into the ground for 8 damned years. Not only that, but the democrats did with Granholm as well. I will take the handout, thank you very much. There are no jobs here, at least not for people like me. So, I will take my dole, I paid into it for many years. So, I take my share, like everyone else. 😡

Update #2: I also should point out the following: I have not had any health insurance since 2000. I had this insurance via the cobra program, which allowed me to keep my insurance from a former employer of mine. It was an employer I worked for in the early 1990’s. I finally had to give it up, because it was just too expensive to own. So, again, all this silly whining is silly, I believe.

Update #4: I have been getting a number of emails from people wondering why I’m attacking Jim Hoft. The simple answer is this here: some of Jim Hoft’s friends have attacked me in the past. And I believe Jim Hoft has posted some items that have smeared me. One of Jim’s friends even went as far as to accuse me of being a racist and an anti-semite. The way I see it turnabout is fair play.

Do not misunderstand me here, I take no pleasure in knowing that Jim Hoft is suffering physically, not at all. But, the way I see it, if the players in the blogosphere want to smear me and call me an anti-Semite and a racist bigot; that I don’t mind pointing out the hypocrisy of the fact that a conservative blogger is whining because his insurance got cancelled.

The truth is that the conservative blogosphere has always hated my guts, because I happen to be at one time a left of center blogger. And because I dared to challenge one of the neoconservative darlings of the right-wing blogosphere. This blogger actually had the temerity to go around posting personal information about a child’s parents all because she didn’t like the idea of a social program that would benefit the children like him. The child I’m referring to is Graeme Frost. because of this blogger’s blatant stupidity in exposing this boy’s parents personal information I posted what I thought was her real address and telephone number. Turns out she had not lived there over 3 years. But, none of that actually mattered what mattered was that I dare to challenge her and as a result I became the most hated man in the blogosphere.

Another reason these people hate me is because one of their darling bloggers decided to make fun of me and when he did, I fired back and I made it personal and in the process I ended up insulting his dead wife. At the time I had no idea that the name that I brought up on my blog was his dead wife and I apologized for it as well many times over. But, they still act like it happened last week when all actuality it happened back in 2007.

The funny and ironic part is, is that two women who worked for David Horowitz, and now work for this woman or at least did till she offloaded her new website; smeared me as an anti-Semite and a bigot. Well the way I see it, these women are really friendly with Jim Hoft and if they don’t mind smearing me and making up lies about me and all this other nonsense, then I don’t mind telling the truth about how I really feel about conservative bloggers who whine about losing their insurance.

The truth is none of these people have actually met me in person at all. But, they will get on blogs and write things about me telling half-truths an outright lies all to try to discredit me and liable me on the Internet. So the way I see it, payback is a bitch and so are the people that smeared me and said things about me that were not true. The point I’m making is this here: the way I see it: you make friends with dogs like that, then you deal with the crap that gets flung at you because you’re friends with them.

The truth is they started the war with me and they slandered me. because I actually had the audacity to fight back, they declared war against me hacked my blog and proceeded to smear me on the Internet. So I think a bit of a slam dunk of one of their friends is justified. If any of them don’t like it — too bad. Quit stabbing people in the back and quit lying about people and maybe stuff like this won’t get written about you. Its just that simple.

After a Salon report depicting Ed Schultz’s handling of a dispute between a group of NBC workers and the network led to criticism of the host, he took to the airwaves Thursday to address the backlash. As Salon reported Thursday morning, workers at Peacock Productions have attempted to land meetings with MSNBC’s top hosts in an effort to win their support — and successfully managed to meet with Chris Hayes, while Schultz gave Salon a comment that elicited some negativereactions.

In response, Schultz addressed the matter in the first segments of his radio show Thursday afternoon, professing his vocal support for organized labor and slamming Salon’s reporting, but not specifically addressing alleged union-busting by the NBC Universal-owned company Peacock Productions.

“Are they that freaking stupid that they don’t know where I stand?” Schultz asked listeners. “Wow.” Schultz also suggested he wasn’t necessarily “able to influence” someone “of authority,” and asked “why should I put myself in jeopardy through an email?”

As Salon reported Thursday morning, workers at Peacock Productions charge that after they started organizing with the Writers Guild of America–East, the company held mandatory group and one-on-one anti-union meetings; suggested that unionization could lead to the company being dissolved; discouraged employees from talking to pro-union co-workers; discriminated against pro-union workers in assigning work; and used a spurious legal argument to get the results of a union election impounded by the National Labor Relations Board. (NBC has not provided comment on those allegations, following a series of inquiries since Tuesday.) In response, the AFL-CIO posted a petition, hosted by MoveOn Civic Action, asking for public support from five prime-time MSNBC hosts: Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell, Al Sharpton and Schultz.

You can very well imagine this did not go over good with the progressive blogosphere. Digby over at Hullabaloo, who has been blogging longer than me and whom I used to read quite a bit, when I was on the left — said the following:

I know when people get angry they often say things they don’t really mean. But this man is a professional and to let fly in public with comments like these is fairly damning. He is supposed to be the average Joe, salt of the earth, everyman. Saying your critics have “income envy” and using the word “minions” to describe them is revealing. And not in a good way. 

I do believe what you are seeing here is one the biggest reasons why I left “The Left.” Because it is just rife full of absolute hypocrisy. This is a perfect example of that. This is the sort of stuff that drove Morton Downey Jr. to rage; as he, like myself, had a hatred of the limousine liberal crowd. I am thinking that this just might be the end of Ed Schultz’s career on TV, or, at least his credibility. Because when you express contempt in public, for those under you; that happen to be on your side of the political street — you are in deep trouble.

A 58-year-old airport worker was charged Friday with allegedly planning a suicide bombing at a passenger terminal at the Wichita Mid-Continent Airport in Kansas.

The suspect, Terry Lee Loewen, an avionics technician who lives in Wichita, was arrested earlier in the day as he attempted to use his security pass to drive a vehicle that he thought contained explosives onto the tarmac at the airport, law enforcement officials said at a news conference in Wichita. In fact, the car contained only dummy explosives.
U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Loewen spent months developing a plan to drive a carload of explosives to the airport terminal and that he was determined to trigger the bomb himself and die in the blast.

Loewen, who is white, became radicalized after reading extremist Islamic material on the Internet, Grissom said.

Like I said in the caption of that photo; if that is the best Al-Qaeda can do, the war on terror is over. 😆

He is, of course, talking about the budget deal. The budget deal that everyone else hates. I say l let ’em hate it. The corner says this:

“The only choice of those who would reject the deal would be to go up until the deadline of January 15th,” he said on Special Report, “and the only leverage Republicans would have would be to shut down the government.

“We tried that in October. It was a disaster,” Krauthammer said, arguing that that the news stories in January would have been about such a shutdown, not Obamacare’s continuing problems. Rejecting the spending deal, he said, would have been “mindless.”

Krauthammer praised the GOP for taking the deal, lauding them for preserving 70 percent of the sequester cuts over the next two years and ending the “endless extension of unemployment benefits.”

I said the same thing back when the shutdown was happening; it was a bad idea. Why punish those who are just going to work everyday? It was a stupid idea. Ted Cruz did not have a plan, once he took the House Republicans into the ditch.  This compromise was a smart idea, and it will buy the Republicans some time, till after the election. Hopefully, the new ones coming in will play the right political game and not the wrong one again.

 

 

Reminder: December fundraiser

Just a short reminder that I still have a December fundraiser in progress.

Folks, I’ll just be perfectly honest with you. I’m under no illusion as to the popularity of this blog. I really did not get into writing about politics to be popular. I started writing about politics in 2006 as a skeptical left of center. By the time the middle of 2007 rolled around, I had basically given up on the Democratic Party and on the progressive movement.

My biggest problem is this: I am simply not a partisan blogger. I am NOT a part of the Republican establishment either. I see flaws in partisanship and in establishment politics. I also was not a big fan of George W Bush. The only reason I ever voted Democrat, since I have been eligible to vote is because my family voted democrat.

My change of heart when it came to the Democratic Party, when the party decided to choose someone, that I felt was not only unqualified to be President of the United States; but also someone who possessed anti-American sentiment.

For this reason and this reason alone, I essentially switched to a belief system of pro America, Pro Constitution, and pro Republic. Am I saying that the democratic party is an anti-american party? Pretty much. I simply cannot support a party that happens to believe that people who create jobs, such as small business owners, are an enemy to America. This is why I switched sides.

Now why I call myself a paleo conservative as opposed to a neoconservative or just a Republican is this: I simply believe that Wilsonian foreign policy is a tragic mistake. This is not because I happen to hate Jews or because I am some sort of Israel hater, I simply know that every time the United States of America involves itself in foreign policy affairs the outcome is never pretty. Perfect examples of that are Korea, Vietnam and the first and second Golf wars. Put very simply, I am NOT a hawkish type conservative. This is not to say that I am a pacifist or something silly like that, I believe in justified war, like we got during World War 2. That happens to be the only constitutionally declared war.

This is not to say that I disrespect the United States military. I leave that to people like Lew Rockwell. I respect Lew Rockwell in his brand of libertarianism, but I don’t respect his opinion on the United States military. but he is entitled to his opinion and unlike the Trotskyite fascists on the right; I don’t wish to see his opinion suppressed.

So there you have it the truth about me. Despite what has been printed about me in various places; I’m not a hater. I’m just someone who believes in true conservative principles unlike some who claim to hold the mantle of conservatism.

So far not one person has donated at all. The “Ford is adding jobs” story is a fraud

This story here is nothing more than a big, fat, fraud:

Dearborn — Ford Motor Co. plans to add 5,000 U.S. jobs in 2014 as it prepares to launch 16 new vehicles in North America, the most in any one year of the automaker’s 111-year history.

About 3,300 will be salaried positions in the Southeast Michigan area. The remaining 1,700 will be hourly hires spread out throughout the country. Seven North American plants will add capacity or get a new product next year.

Ford will introduce next-generations of its F-150 pickup truck and Mustang car and add a compact Lincoln MKC to its lineup in 2014, along with a new Transit van.

Ford had five North American vehicle launches in 2013.

Okay, here is why this story is nothing more than a big, fat, fraud. One reason is because before they allow any new hires in, the union will tell Ford; “You have to bring back any laid off people, before you hire from the outside.” Second of all, if you do not have a high school diploma, or at least a 2 year degree; you will not get hired at all. Actually, Ford likes to see at least 2 years of manufacturing experience before they will even remotely look at your application.

So, the idea that Ford is just going to hire people off the street is a nothing more than a big, fat, propaganda lie. How do I know this? My Father is a retired G.M. worker and they have been doing the same thing for years.

UPDATE: I just wanted to say thanks to the person on Facebook, who sent me the ton of traffic. I really don’t know who you are and I can’t really find out because my logs don’t say what page on Facebook that the links are coming from.

However, just the same thank you very much. Traffic around here has been kinda light, because for one thing its the off season there’s no election and too, I think people are just tired of reading about politics.

BudgetGate 2013

I apologize for a lack of output today. I just didn’t see anything worth wasting time over. I did post one thing; But nothing political.

Anyhow, Senate leaders hashed out a budget deal; and the Dems hate it, although some do like it; and not shockingly, the right is not to happy with it either. Which means, it might just be a decent deal. Believe it or not, Rep. John Boehner makes a valid point here: (H/T HotAir.com)

The point he makes at 1:30 in this video is legit; and we all know whom that little remark is aimed at! (Ted Cruz) Boehner has a point; Cruz took the House into the ditch and did not have a plan to come out of the ditch at all. Which is not good politics. I’ve written all about this before, so I am not going to repeat all that again! 🙄

A perfect example of why I am not a huge fan of the GOP

Before you get any ideas about this, read what I write, before you pass judgement.

But first, the story:

LANSING — Gov. Rick Snyder has added his voice to the chorus of criticism directed at Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema over his latest antigay remarks.

Agema, in a speech at a Republican meeting in Berrien County on Thursday, said that gay people manipulate the system to get free health insurance because they are dying from AIDS at a young age.

Agema cited his experience as a pilot with American Airlines, according to a transcript of his remarks published by the Herald-Palladium of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor.

“I’m a flight attendant,” Agema said. “You have AIDS. You come to me and say, ‘Hey, tell them I’m your lover for the last six months.’ You get on our health care.

“American Airlines spends $400,000 before you die of AIDS. And he goes on to the next, and the next, and that’s what was happening.

“Folks, they want free medical because they’re dying between 38 and 44 years old. It’s a biggie. So, to me it’s a moral issue. It’s a biblical issue. Traditional marriage is where it should be and that is in our platform, so people that are opposed on that issue within our party are wrong.”

Media reports about Agema’s comments brought a storm of criticism and calls for Agema’s resignation. Last March, Agema came under fire for approvingly posting on Facebook an article that said gay people were sexually promiscuous, rife with sexually transmitted diseases and responsible for “half the murders in large cities.”

Snyder condemns such remarks as “extreme and discriminatory,” Snyder spokeswoman Sara Wurfel told the Free Press this morning.

Okay, first off; Since when did the GOP became the political party that coddles homosexuals? Second of all, I was under the impression that the Republican Party was the party of moral Christian values.  At least they were back in the 1980’s, when Reagan was in office. The truth is, if it had not been for the Christian Right in America; Reagan would have never been elected at all. The problem is that the Republican Party establishment is now really pushing the Christian Right out of the party, in favor of an fiscal, Libertarian, Secularist forum of Conservatism. I can tell you this, if they continue to do this; the Republican Party will never win another election.

Do not get me wrong here, I am not in favor of a Christian version of Sharia law or anything silly like that; but good grief, can the Republican Party at least stand for something other than being the party of no? Are we that far gone as a society that even the party that supposedly believes in Conservative values, now is hostile to anyone, who happens to express any sort of Conservative Christian values?

As for the man’s comments, were they offensive? To a homosexual, yes, they were. But, that is the point! Christian moral values are always offensive to those who partake in immorality. Yes, Homosexuality is immoral. The Bible plainly says this in the Old and New Testaments.

It galls me that Snyder and his political correct friends in the GOP have taken this sort of cowardly stand against someone, who dares to speak his convictions against something that Biblically, is considered an abomination to the living God. Shame on Snyder and may he lose his reelection bid. I voted for the idiot; and first he stabbed my Father in the back, and now, he is stabbing the Christian Right in the back. For this, he should not be reelected.
