The Petraeus Circus

I think Matt Drudge is right about this headline:

drudgeheadline

…and that is exactly what it is too. The more this comes out, the more I honestly have to wonder; who is running the Country? I dont know

Better yet, who is protecting the Country? NailbitingCall me a bit paranoid; but if the people that are supposed to be the adults are carrying on like this; what the heck is everyone else doing?

Headlines on this story:

Oh, and by way, the way: Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! *wipes eyes and tries to breath.* Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! LaughingRolling on the floorHee heeOh go on

So, yeah; this is a rather odd, and sometimes funny story.

Veteran needs our help

It appears that a Veteran needs our help.

Go read here and here.

Why am I doing this? I wrote this a while back when I put up a notice,  about someone else needing help:

This is the difference between true Christianity and Godless secularism. Christianity says “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.” This is done with the hope and prayer that one day; when the chips are down and you find yourself at death’s door, that someone would do the same to you. Having said the following, I ask anyone that happens to see this blog posting —- go and do thou likewise.

I still feel that way, no matter who it is. Now, please, go hit the man’s tip jar; once for me and once for yourself.

Least anyone should think I am getting wealthy

On my banners at the top and the big on in my far left side bar and after each blog posting.

These have been my earnings so far, since joining Adbrite:

All dates
Total Earnings
$4.25

;

;

That’s right, $4.25. not $425, not $4250 —- but four bucks and twenty-five cents.

The rest of the ads only pay, if you buy something. So far on those —- nothing.

Amazon is nil too.

Infolinks since last payment, which was March 1, 2012, is at $20.18.

So, you see now why I keep pounding the drum about the tip jar and fundraising?

So much for being a bought Koch brothers blogger eh? Which is what the left loves to call people like me.

I am not whining; just stating the facts and keeping my readers informed. I’m an honest sort, no reason to lie here. No ego here, just a love for Country.

….I just wish love paid more. 🙁

So, I shall use this as a reminder to

HIT THE TIP JAR!

West ought to be glad he even got a recount

Sorry, but there is something awful ingrateful about this statement:

“What’s going on today is a sham,” said Tim Edson, West’s campaign manager said in a press release. “It does nothing to resolve our concerns… What was originally viewed as dangerous incompetence on the part of [St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections] Gertrude Walker now appears more and more like a willful attempt to steal the election for Patrick Murphy.”

via Newsmax-  West Gains Votes in Partial Recount, But Still Behind.

Sorry, but this sounds like Allen West believes that he is entitled to be in the Senate. Why? Because he is black, or maybe Because he was in the Military? The cold, hard, sober truth is that Allen West has made some very idiotic statements that even had me shuttering. If the man lost the election, he ought to just take his lumps and come back and try again for some other office.

Instead, he will go the tin-foil hat route and make a complete fool of himself and become a hero and do the martyr for freedom bit and become a hero among the WorldNetDaily crowd and the Alex Jones folk too.

Again, this goes back to what I said before:

I think another problem with the GOP and the Conservative movement as a whole is that some Conservatives and Republicans have a penchant for simply making things up, that they know not to be true. This is common in politics and both sides do it, to a certain degree. It is called “scaremongering” and to me, as a Christian man; it just strikes me as morally wrong. If the Republican Party and the Conservative movement is a truly a socially Conservative movement, that they claim to be. Then they should really get the whole “telling the truth” thing down pat and stop with the scaremongering nonsense. Fact checking is not a sin, and it should be a top priority. Because we can get much further with the American people, with the simply, clear-eyed truth; than we can with scaremongering and stupidity. Most people, these days, with the internet; can fact check quicker than most politicos can! Although, there is that segment that believes the chain letters can go out via e-mail, than they do when someone tells them the plain truth. The Conservative Movement needs to be less chain letter, and more factual arguments. Boogieman headlines might bring profits to those who promote them; but it does not win elections.

Another thing that is on my mind, that goes along with the above paragraph; is that we simply need to remove the Alex Jones element to the Conservative movement. Alex Jones is a nothing more than a damned charlatan. Jones caters to particular group of people, commonly known as the “tin-foil” hat crowd. For years, nobody ever, in the political world, ever took that guy seriously. This was, until Obama got into the White House and then from that moment on, it was full on Alex Jones in the Conservative movement! I really began to notice this, when Matt Drudge began linking to Alex Jones and added him to his list of sites on his website. This, I feel, was an tragic error. The Conservative movement should be known for its disdain for big Government and its refuting of the idea that socialism is not the ideal path forward; and not for its promoting of idiotic conspiracy theories.

Allen West was horrible for spouting off stuff that he did not know one hundred percent to be true. Because of this the independent voters moved away from him and voted for the other guy. This ought to be a textbook lesson to the grassroots. The lesson is this; never go around saying outlandish stuff in the media. Because while it might make you look good to your base. Everyone else, is going to believe that you are some sort of a fruit loop.

In politics, it pays to be sober, clear-minded and to tell the truth and to MAKE DARNED SURE you ARE telling the truth and not some cockamamie conspiracy theory.  It is sad that Allen West had to learn this the hard way; but those are the breaks in politics. Some people learn quick and some people; get voted out.

Eternal Truths

Something that I have known for a very long time. David W. Cloud, a Fundamental Baptist Missionary, whom I have a great deal of respect for; lays out the truth in this wonderful piece below:

The result of the recent U.S. election was not surprising to the Bible believer who knows the frightful spiritual condition of America, and we should not respond as unbelievers and heretics and nominal Christians respond to these confusing, frustrating times. Many are in despair, frantically trying to find a safe heaven for their wealth.

But we are not Christians in name only; we are born again by God’s Spirit and we walk in the light of God’s infallible Word. We know the times, or at least we should. We understand the underlying spiritual fundamentals of society. We are pilgrims. Our citizenship is in heaven, and we are exhorted to set our affection on things above, not on things on earth (Col. 3:1-4; Hebrews 11:13; 1 Peter 2:11).

The Bible shines brilliant light upon our situation in this present world, and gives us clear instructions about how to live and act in the face of the challenges of these times.

Let me say at the outset that I understand that politics and government are important, that politics and government affect our daily lives. I am not saying that we should have nothing to do with politics and that we should have no interest in what is happening at the political level.

I am simply arguing in this report that politics is not the answer to the moral, social, and economic ills our nations are facing, and we need to focus our attention on the real fundamental issues, and on God’s will, and on the things that can bring real change, and on things that have eternal value.

via America, Politics, and Spiritual Light by David W. Cloud.

This is a very good piece and I highly recommend that you go read the rest of that; like I say on my “Free Gift” page —- if you are a true believe in Christ, then this world is not your home. You are simply here, until the Lord comes back for his Church. Wealth is wonderful, in fact, I kind of wish I had a little of it myself.  However, these things are all temporal. One day, when the Lord Jesus pours out his judgement on this earth, all of these material things that we hold so dear, are going to burn up. Just like they did in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The important thing to remember, like David Brody said in his video, no matter who is in the White House; Jesus Christ is still on the throne and he is always in control. Remember that; this is what keeps me from worrying. God is still in control, not matter what.
