Gingrich should put up or shut up

I would hate to think that Gingrich is playing politics with this stuff.

On Tuesday night’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” on the Fox News Channel, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that major news networks might have secret emails proving that the White House canceled plans to assist the besieged U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

Gingrich said that the bombshell emails could be revealed within the next two days.

“There is a rumor — I want to be clear, it’s a rumor — that at least two networks have emails from the National Security Adviser’s office telling a counterterrorism group to stand down,” Gingrich said. “But they were a group in real-time trying to mobilize marines and C-130s and the fighter aircraft, and they were told explicitly by the White House stand down and do nothing. This is not a terrorist action. If that is true, and I’ve been told this by a fairly reliable U.S. senator, if that is true and comes out, I think it raises enormous questions about the president’s role, and Tom Donilon, the National Security Adviser’s role, the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, who has taken it on his own shoulders, that he said don’t go. And that is, I think, very dubious, given that the president said he had instructions they are supposed to do everything they could to secure American personnel.”

Well, it is like this here; if Gingrich knows which Networks has them, he should really name them or shut up. This is not a good time for political brinksmanship. Plus, this Libya thing is a military tragedy and should not really politicized.

And his use of that line was intentional, I have no doubt, and meant to be subtly suggestive — to blunt the beating he’s rightly taking in conservative media and social media (the mainstream press has tried to cover for him, but they can only do so much) over his inaction in Benghazi, where he in fact left Americans behind to die.

The Hope and The Change: Restaurant Performance Index declined in September

Calculated Risk blog reports the following:

The RPI – a monthly composite index that tracks the health of and outlook for the U.S. restaurant industry – stood at 100.4 in September, down 0.3 percent from August. Despite the decline, September represented the 11th consecutive month that the RPI stood above 100, which signifies continued expansion in the index of key industry indicators.

“Although restaurant operators reported softer same-store sales and customer traffic levels in September, they are somewhat more bullish about sales growth in the months ahead,” said Hudson Riehle, senior vice president of the Research and Knowledge Group for the Association. “Forty-five percent of restaurant operators expect their sales to improve in the next six months, while only 11 percent expect weaker sales.”

The Current Situation Index, which measures current trends in four industry indicators (same-store sales, traffic, labor and capital expenditures), stood at 99.9 in September – down 0.7 percent from a level of 100.6 in August. Although same-store sales remained positive in September, the softness in the labor and customer traffic indicators outweighed the performance, which led to a Current Situation Index reading below 100 for the second time in the last three months.

So, what does this have to do with Obama? Plenty. When you promise a better economy, and then, you spent 16 trillion-dollar on recovery that does not work and then you hike taxes on businesses and the middle class and above stop eating out, because of a President, who is more interested in taking trips and living it up, instead of actually running the Country. This is what happens, businesses suffer, and that includes Restaurants. Restaurants like Gallagher’s in New York, which survived the depression, but could not survive this economic downturn.

This is why we need to vote different in 2012; Are you unemployed? Are you feeling the pinch, like many Americans? This is why, when an economy gets depressed like this; this is what happens, restaurants and other businesses take the hit. Housing Market collapses, stock market tumbles, then the Economy drops. Then, the Government tries to print more money to fix it; and then everything you buy goes up. It is a vicious cycle and the only way to stop it, is to get the people out of power that caused it. This is why we have to vote for Mitt Romney. Memo to my Democratic Party friends: George W. Bush did NOT cause this mess. Bill Clinton did! Because of this, we are ALL feeling the pinch.

We need new leadership, and that is why we need Mitt Romney to be President of the United States.

The American Conservative Magazine’s writers are Anti-American

In this day of 16 trillion dollar debt, our standing in the world being what it is, our Military being treated like utter crap and these bastards cannot even agree that a vote for Mitt Romney is imperative to the survival of our Republic?

Let me just say it; I publicly accuse the editors and writers over at The American Conservative Magazine, a poorly named political rag at that; of being treasonous Anti-Americans in the spirit of people like this here, and the Hollywood 10.

Furthermore, I find it absolutely appalling that these bastards are so ate up with Jewish hatred and of Hatred of Israel as a state; that they would actually go against everything that they have been taught as Americans and as Conservatives and vote for some idiot, who is not on all the ballots and or, goes against the very principles that they believe in — or worse a rant Marxist, who is actually a BLACK NATIONALIST!

It is anti-American and it should be called out as such, by those of us, who have American’s greatest interests in mind.  Call me what you want to call me, I could care less; Neo-Con, Nationalist, whatever — I really do not care. These bastards are traitors and they should be treated as such.

The question is, WHY DOES FOX NEWS CONTINUE TO ALLOW THESE ANTI-AMERICAN TRAITORS ON THEIR AIRWAVES!?!?!?!?!?!

I will never understand that one, never. Anyone who calls themselves a Conservative and does not vote their principles, during this election is a traitor to America and should be treated as such.

Again, I call treason and I question their patriotism and their loyalty to The United States of America!

…and all because I once was a Democratic Party voter. 6 1/2 — 7 years is a long time to hold a grudge; but they still do. I guess that is to be expected of the NeoCon right. Way I see it, they are just following in the steps of their masters. Also too, it was not a run-in with McCain, he did something and I didn’t like it one bit and I said so. I guess that was unacceptable to the McCarthy crowd.

My synagogue listserve in northern Virginia is abuzz with a Robocall campaign, by the Emergency Committee for Israel.

The caller ID is that of William Kristol, who founded the group.

Robocalls are not known for straight-up accounts of the issues. Still, the deceptions in this one are a little stunning.

The call is in the form of a "debate" between President Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu.

There has never been any such debate, of course, and it’s immediately clear to me that it’s a mock-up, with "answers" spliced in from different appearances. But I’m steeped in this. I don’t know how clear it would be though to someone who doesn’t follow this day to day.

More substantively, the quote grabs have almost nothing to do with one another, although this is not evident in the calls. A more accurate presentation of the Netanyahu quote that is used would suggest that the two leaders are actually more in agreement on nuclear Iran — the issue of the "debate" — than not.

Obama’s "opening remark", in which he "respects" Iran’s sovereignty, is from a press conference in 2009, in which he rejected Iranian claims of U.S. involvement in post-election protests — and also decried Iranian repression of the protesters. It had nothing to do with Iran’s nuclear capability.

Netanyahu’s "response" is from his speech to AIPAC this year (three years later!)

Between Him and John Podhoretz; if the Republican Party loses this election, it will be because of Kristol and  Podhoretz. We have a good chance to stop this socialist from destroying this Country and what does this schmuck do? This sort of idiotic crap.

Also too, yes, I know JStreet is a liberal Jewish organization; I get that, alright? But, this sort of stuff, a week before the election is just damned uncalled for. Maybe, just maybe Kristol is doing this to sabotage Romney’s prospects, seeing that Kristol and his ilk are making a killing being Obama’s kneecapper, maybe he is protecting his interests.
