Video: This is what happens when people decide that gays have “rights”

(Via CNN)

Disgusting. 😡 If I had the money, I would buy the property myself; just to keep those queers out of it. This is nothing more than an attempt by these tools to extort money out of the Roman Catholic Church and make a mockery of the Christian world as a whole.

I am not a Catholic; not even close. But this sort of nonsense gets up my nose. This is nothing more than an attempt to defame the Roman Catholic Church and more broadly Christianity itself. If I were Bill Donohue, I would be all over this; in fact, I forwarded his organization the link to the video itself. Hopefully the Catholic League steps up to the plate and does its job.

It is a sign of the times; and it is not a good one either. 🙁

Iraq News: Suicide car bomber near Baghdad’s Green Zone kills four

What we’ve created in Iraq — Chaos:

(Reuters) – A suicide car bomber killed four Iraqis and wounded 11 others close to an entrance to Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone, where several Western embassies are located, three police sources said on Monday.

The central area, known officially as the International Zone, houses diplomatic missions including the U.S. embassy.

The blast was near Baghdad’s July 14th suspension bridge which leads into the zone. Two of the four killed were soldiers, the sources said.

“Cars were lining up waiting to be searched at the checkpoint that leads to the Green Zone and suddenly a speeding car exploded nearby,” said one police source whose patrol was stationed near the scene of the attack scene.

If we would have just stayed out of that Country, none of this would be going on. But, lessons are not always learned the proper way. I am sure the Wilsonian Conservative crowd will try and tie this one to Obama too; like they have done all the rest of this stuff. Should be interesting.

A followup: my posting over at DailyKos

Just a bit of follow up; last night I noted that I posted over at DailyKos.

Well, to be quite honest with you all; I now regret that little adventure in stupidity. 🙄

I happen to go back and check the comments and I noticed the bile that was directed at me, in the comments section over there. Those people are as bad, if not worse, then some of the people at FreeRepublic or HotAir.com!

I assure you, I learned my lesson; again. 🙄 I had forgotten just how horrible those people really are; towards anyone of any stripe that happens to disagree with their narrow-minded vision of the World. I was also well reminded of the reasons why I simply threw up my hands and walked away from the Democratic Party —- for good.

I can tell you this; I needed that reminder — badly.

Now before anyone says it; I am not baiting those people at all! That was an honest attempt, my myself, to inject an alternative view, from a Conservative, to those people. The problem is, that those people over at that site, are living in an alternative universe or, at best, an alternative reality from the one that you and I live in!

The following from Cool Hand Luke from 1967 springs to mind:

Captain : “What we’ve got here is failure to communicate”

Captain : “Some men you just can’t reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it… well, he gets it. I don’t like it any more than you men.”

….and boy did I find that out last night. 😯

The reminder was a good one, indeed.

I will say this; getting my writings out to the masses is good for me. I love doing that — However, I am not into masochism at all. In other words, charging into a hall of unfriendly people towards me and saying “here I am!” is not my bag. I may be many things, but stupid is not one of them. I won’t be posting anything politically related there again. I assure you of that.

I leave you with this here. Politics now; is worse than it was, when President Bush was in office. At least then, people were at least civil to one another. Now, it’s all hate everyone that disagrees you, all the time. The right hates the left and left is just ate up with hatred of the right. It is a sad thing to watch. I dread to see what it is going to be like, when the left looses this election.

I guess I will just stay over here in my corner and leave the crazies to themselves. 😀

Next time someone calls me, you know, crazy? I’m showing them this here

Go read here and here.

Hooooleeeey crap. 😯 😮

I couldn’t hold a candle to this guy; not even if I tried.

Threatening the FBI or in this case, an agent of the feds? Oh…..my…….gawd. 😯 That’s a one-way ticket to a jail cell for a LOOOOONG time.

I might be opinionated, a bit mouthy at times. But, I am not crazy.

Wow….Just Wow.

All I can say.

Steven Crowder’s “holier than thou” problem

First off, let me say publicly that I have no beef with this man at all. I have never even met him personally. The only thing that I know about him, is what I have read and what I have seen in his videos.

However, I happen to come upon his article on CNN, where he basically comes off sounding like a self-righteous, “Holier than thou” type. Why? Because the guy got married. Again, I have no beef with anyone who decides to take that plunge. However, I have decided that at 40 years old, I just really do not want to bothered with it. I am old, set in my ways; and quite frankly, the way that they are raising women today; with this whole, “Marry him and take him for what he is worth” mentality — and yes, that includes “Church Woman” too — I think I will just pass.

Before anyone says anything about it: Yes, I posted at DailyKos

Yes, I cross-posted my little opinion on Glenn Reynolds’s screed on DailyKos.

I did it and I am quite proud of it. Not like I get any kind of respect out of anyone on the right anyhow. Not that I really seek it; but when people go out of their to slander you, what the heck do you really honestly expect?

For the record, I do not agree with much of the political opinion over there. However, I did want to prove that not every Conservative runs around with his head up his rectal cavity. Just a good majority of them. 😉 😆 😀

So, there. I said it. The idiots who go around digging up dirt on me can put this one in their record too.

Sounds like a good idea to me: Tax the Churches!

Just reacting to this here.

Of course, I do not mean all of them.

Just the ones making over 250K a year in income and the ones that choose to be politically active.

Any church making less than 250K would not be taxed.

Just my idea. For the record, I am not against Church; I am against excess and greed. I am also against those who abuse the Bible; using it as a get rich scheme. I am, of course, referring to the “prosperity gospel” garbage, that is common in Pentecostal circles.

I figure, if a church is turning that kind of Cash they can afford to pay their share of taxes.

UPDATE: Glenn Reynolds is wrong

I saw this last night and I did not care to blog about it. But, for the sake of having something to blog about; I will.

Glenn Reynolds lost his credibility with me, when he posted this rather idiotic screed saying that he should resign because law enforcement came to the man’s house who produced the now infamous video.  As much as I understand the concept of freedom of speech, and as much as I understand the fallout from it. Also, as much as I know President Obama’s handling of the situation was horrible and how bad it is that embassies had no Marine protection. The point is this: Obama did not create this entire mess at all. Obama did not shoot that video and he did not mock the Muslims; someone else did. In fact, it was a Coptic Christian with a bug up his rear about Muslims.  This same Coptic Christian had audacity to attempt to pawn himself off as a Jewish person as well; which was, in the word of a well-known Jewish blogger, a blood libel.

The Saturday Night Music Express Presents: Jimi Hendrix

I have made it no secret on this blog and my old one; that I am, in fact, a die-hard Jimi Hendrix fan. A good part of who and what I am today is because of this man’s music. The biggest thing that I learned from Hendrix and his music was to never accept what is told to you. Always question everything; and believe you me, I do. 🙂

Are you shocked? 😉 😯

This is from 1970. This Jimi live at the Isle of Wight Concert. This is the Movie Presentation of “Wild Blue Angel”.

Please note: If you have a nice sound system or headphones. This would be a good time to put it or them, on and turn it up. 😀

Jimi Hendrix, more than anything else — was the sound of 1960’s America. He set the bar and everyone else tried like heck to sound, look and play like him.

Enjoy the music and enjoy your weekend.

Rick Santorum explains why he will never, ever be President of the United States

Mister Rick “I am a Catholic Statist and I want everyone to believe just like I do” Santorum once again proves why he is unfit to serve in the office of President of the United States of America

Santorum also criticized the libertarian wing of the Republican party for not supporting what he sees as the pillars of conservatism: religion and family.

“When it comes to conservatism libertarian types can say, oh, well you know, we don’t want to talk about social issues,” Santorum said. “Without the church and the family, there is no conservative movement, there is no basic values of America.”

via Buzzfeed: Rick Santorum: Conservatives Will “Never Have The Elite, Smart People On Our Side”.

That above that I quoted is why Santorum will never be President of the United States at all.  Rick Santorum wants to have a Christian version of Al-Qaeda in America. One that is intolerant of any other religions or lifestyles other than the one that he chooses to follow.  This is why we have Mitt Romney as the Republican candidate for President of the United States.

Rick Santorum was so horrible when he was running for President that even some in the Conservative Blogosphere became annoyed by him.  Not to mention that every time someone would criticize his religion or his social conservatism or say anything remotely critical of his family; he would really act like annoying jerk and come off with this smug papist attitude and belittle anyone who dared to criticize him.

Which is precisely why I am voting for Mitt Romney. Yes, I know, he is a Mormon and Yes, I know, I am a Independent, Fundamentalist, Baptist. Yes, I know, I disagree with the Mormonism, very much so. In fact, I reject it as a valid form of Christianity. However, the last time I checked; I was not voting for the President of the Mormon Church. I am, however, voting for the President of the United States of America. Mitt Romney is the Republican candidate for President and he has my vote. If for anything at all, to go against the anti-Mormon bigotry in this Country and the hate on the left. Plus too, I think Romney will help bring this Country back to the greatness that it once was known for, prior to the idiocy that is known as Barack Obama and the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the last time I checked; Mitt Romney was not trying to to shove his Mormonism down anyone’s throat either, nor was he persecuting those who simply want to see fiscal sanity return to this Country. Unlike Santorum, who wants to see a “Christian America,” whatever that is; Romney simply wants to stop the runaway Government and stave off a fiscal crisis.

Despite my reservations about Romney being a Neoconservative. I too could be wrong about that too.  I believe that honor might be solely Paul Ryan’s. However, I believe that Mitt Romney has his own mind and I do not believe that Romney will allow himself to be used by Israel or any other Country for that matter. If I am wrong about that, and Romney is elected and proceeds to pursue an agenda that puts Israel before America, that I will admit that I was wrong. Until then, I am hedging my bets.

My feeling is this; if Mitt Romney can pull this Nation at least half way back to what it was prior to the housing crisis and Wall Street crisis. If Romney can work to making it easier for Businesses and for those who want to start a small business; then he will done more than this current President.

About Santorum and with this I will conclude: Santorum needs to find a job with the Roman Catholic Church and get his nose out of politics. The Republican Party and the Conservative movement already has tried the social Conservative route; it was in the 1980’s and it was called the God and Country movement. A very wrong-headed movement, that, in the end, caused more problems for the Christian World than it ever solved. Because of this concentration on social issues, rather than fiscal ones, is why this Country of ours is headed for the fiscal cliff.
