A followup on an previous entry

Now before I begin this, let me state for the record, that this is not a walk back of any sort, but rather a followup to an older posting.

It appears that when I posted my entry titled, “It’s a damned shame” that I did not have all of the information related to what was going on.

It does seem that a particular person does have a bit of a problem; and that problem is hate. For the record; yes, I did check out his timeline and yes, I did see some stuff that, yes, even bothered me.

Let me also state that I am one of the most open minded persons in the World. I even have been known to stick my own size 12 foot in my own mouth during the heat of the battle and I have ended up apologizing for it afterward too.

However, when I see someone joking about one of the biggest players in the Jewish Holocaust and thinking that it is actually funny — that is a problem.  Please Note: I am not a rabid anything and I tend to keep in open mind. However, what happened during that time period is not funny or even something that should be even remotely joked about, at all. If one does this, it does, in my mind; bring into question one’s motives and — quite bluntly, their sanity.

Anyone that knows me and anything about my blogs that I have ran for the last 8 years; knows that I have been a “Tell it like it is, shoot from the hip” type of a guy. However, I also happen to be someone, who has a build-in moral compass. When that moral compass senses evil and wrong; I head in the opposite direction. This is what happened here and this is why I blocked said person mentioned in the blog posting linked to in this blog posting here. I also blocked a few of his friends too.

I tend to make a point to stay out of blog disputes and wars.  But, I do not wish to be associated with those who traffic in hate. Not after what happened to me a few years ago. No way, No how.

Don’t mince words now Mac, tell us how you really feel!

Remind me never, ever to upset Mac over at Macsmind:

Perhaps it’s just that Chief Justice Roberts is a fucking moral coward who should be brought before congress, drawn and quartered. There is no room on the court for such a spineless piece of crap.

via   It’s Official: Justice Roberts is a Moral Coward – Switched Vote because of Left Wing Pressure by Macsmind

You wouldn’t think he is a little upset would you? 😯

It’s a damned shame

I was wondering what this crack up on the right on twitter was all about.

This right here explains all of it.

It’s a damn shame that everyone on side; myself included —- cannot just get the hell along and work together for a common purpose. However, knowing politics like I do, I realize that there are personalities and differences of opinion. Like I seem to have with the majority of the so-called “right” in this country.

Either way, it’s a damned shame that these two could not see eye to eye and could have worked together for a common good on the right for our cause.

Take it from an 40 year old fogie: this is nothing new. The right has always had it’s spats. Neo-cons against paleo, establishment against grassroots, beltway versus heartland — it’s always been like that. ideological purists versus the rest.

I have seen this all and been a part of some of it, in the last eight years that I have been writing about politics. The more things change, the more they stay the same. 30 years ago, it’s was magazines and articles. Now, it’s blogs and twitter.

…and that my good friends is the wonderful thing about a free Republic. We can have differences with our Government, with each other, with our politics and we can air our differences in print; on twitter, on blogs and not have live in fear for our lives, like they do in China, in Iran, and in North Korea.

I think that those who go to battle, like this; ought to ponder the stuff I have wrote above, just once and ask themselves, is this war worth breaking up a movement over something as trivial as a comment made? Surly we can do better than this.

Not to get all powdered hair and historical about it, but…. Surely gentleman, we can do better for the sake of the preservation of our Republic and the fight to keep it!

Just a thought, from an old man.

Video: Glenn Beck says that the Legacy of SCOTUS decision on Obamacare is George W. Bush’s legacy

I ought the same thing earlier about the Obamacare ruling: (H/T to AllahPundit)

DrewM over at Ace of Spades is just as blunt:

Dear GOP,

This is your last chance. If you blow this, I’m out and you need to be destroyed.

What is it? Repeal ObamaCare on Day 1. Don’t worry about replace, don’t worry about anything else. We will do everything we have to drag your sorry asses over the line this fall, including electing Mitt Fucking Romney.

In return this is what you will do:

Instead of adjourning for pictures and tea and cake to celebrate getting your pathetic asses elected to 2 or 6 years on the government teet, you will immediately pass a one line bill that says, “The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (and whatever statute number has to be included) is hereby repealed.”

That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Since Congress meets before Inauguration Day, Obama will still be President. Simply hold the legislation at the desk so the 10 day pocket veto clock doesn’t start. If other parliamentary BS is needed, just do it.

Then as soon as Mitt takes the oath of office, before his speech no one will care or remember, walk the bill up to him at the podium to sign.

If this does not happen, the GOP must be destroyed and a new party built to replace it. We’ve tried the carrot approach (votes, money, volunteers) to change your behavior. Now it’s time to show you the stick.

No more, “oh the other guys are worse” scare tactics. That might be true but it doesn’t mean you are any good.

This is your one job, do it or join the Whig Party in the dustbin of history.

I have to say that I do agree with all of the above. This is what happens when Conservatives and Republican settle for what they can get, instead of what they want to elect. I will say this, as the resident skeptical libertarian of the Blogosphere; if you all think that Mittens is going to rip out Obamacare, you are going to be in for a huge let down. Moderates always settle and compromise, they never take a stand, ever.

As I wrote earlier; from now until election day, is going to be very interesting.

Obamacare to stand says SCOUTS

Well, this was not what I was hoping to wake up to hearing on my 40’th birthday.

The Memeoradum round up is here.

The link round up is here: (H/T to Drudge)

Now for what I think: I believe this to be the biggest set back in American freedom since the McCarthy hearings and the red scare of the 1950’s. I guess I should not surprised, the this out of control federal behemoth that we call Government has always valued the idea of a tax on the American people.   I will comment on one thing that I read over at the Weekly Standard, that I linked to above:

It is understandable why President Obama has no interest in framing this election as a referendum on Obamacare. His party already suffered perhaps its worst defeat since the 19th century thanks to his centerpiece legislation. With the Supreme Court’s ruling now behind him, he will have even less incentive to remind voters about Obamacare going forward. As far as he’s concerned, the less the American people think about it, the better.

This means, of course, that the more they think about it, the better it will be for Mitt Romney.  It also means (of course) that Romney should encourage them to think about it, reminding them at every turn that this election isn’t merely — or even principally — about the economy; that it’s about something bigger; that we need to repeal Obamacare and replace it with real reform.  And he should convey to them what real reform would look like, thereby bringing into the fold those independents who don’t want to go back to the pre-Obamacare status quo.  He should start playing to win people’s votes, instead of merely trying not to lose them.

Yes, the fate of Obamacare will be the most important outcome of this election.  On some level, the American people know this.  There’s a reason why Romney gets standing ovations simply for mentioning repeal.

The question is whether either candidate will convey that he knows what this election is really about.  Obama can’t say it’s about Obamacare — even though that’s what he considers it to be about — because he’ll lose if he does.  Romney so far hasn’t said it’s about Obamacare — perhaps because that’s not what he considers it to be about — even though he’ll likely win if he does.

Regardless, the Court has cleared the field. The stakes are historic. The citizenry will decide.

Yes, and you can bet that Barack Obama will have a army of lawyers to make sure that he remains President too. In fact, that is just what the Boston Globe is reporting:

OLYMPIA, Wash.—President Barack Obama’s campaign has recruited a legion of lawyers to be on standby for this year’s election as legal disputes surrounding the voting process escalate.

Thousands of attorneys and support staffers have agreed to aid in the effort, providing a mass of legal support that appears to be unrivaled by Republicans or precedent. Obama’s campaign says it is particularly concerned about the implementation of new voter ID laws across the country, the possibility of anti-fraud activists challenging legitimate voters and the handling of voter registrations in the most competitive states.

Republicans are building their own legal teams for the election. They say they’re focused on preventing fraud — making sure people don’t vote unless they’re eligible — rather than turning away qualified voters.

Since the disputed 2000 presidential election, both parties have increasingly concentrated on building legal teams — including high-priced lawyers who are well-known in political circles — for the Election Day run-up. The Bush-Gore election demonstrated to both sides the importance of every vote and the fact that the rules for voting and counting might actually determine the outcome. The Florida count in 2000 was decided by just 537 votes and ultimately landed in the Supreme Court.

This year in that state alone, Obama and his Democratic allies are poised to have thousands of lawyers ready for the election and hope to have more than the 5,800 attorneys available four years ago. That figure was nearly twice the 3,200 lawyers the Democrats had at their disposal in 2004.

Romney has been organizing his own legal help for the election. Campaign attorney Ben Ginsberg did not provide numbers but said the campaign has been gratified by the “overwhelming number of attorneys who have volunteered to assist.”

“We will have enough lawyers to handle all situations that arise,” he said.

The GOP doesn’t necessarily need to have a numerical counterweight to Obama’s attorneys; the 2000 election showed that experienced, connected lawyers on either side can be effective in court.

Believe me when I tell you; President Barack Obama and the left have been emboldened by this decision and they will stop at nothing to remain in power. Furthermore, the President knows that if he is to protect Obamacare and everything else he and Congress have worked for; they will have to win the election. So, if you all think that Obama and Co. are just going to let White America, which, by proxy will be represented by Mitt Romney —- roll over them and defeat them, you are crazy. They are now going to be emboldened to, in figurative sense — of course — fight to the death to protect everything that they have worked for in the last 3 years.

Putting it in “Southwest Detroit ghetto” terms: things just got very real. The Republicans must know, the kiddie stuff just ended, and now the real fight is now underway. From today, till election day is going to be a bare knuckle brawl. I just hope that the right; bloggers, writers, news people and the politicos know what they are in for. I also hope they know how to fight it, without getting overly stupid and letting their words and actions get them into trouble. This is not 1957 and if they fight like it is, they will lose and lose badly.

Needless to say, it is going to be a very interesting next couple of months.

More of Charles Foster Johnson’s blatant hypocrisy

Quoting the head lizard:

There it is, folks. A naked admission that the purpose of making it more difficult to vote is to tilt elections toward the Republican Party. The people most affected by Voter ID laws are the ones most likely to vote Democratic; it’s a simple equation.

That’s the end game for all of these bogus “vote fraud” allegations: if they can whip up enough fear over non-existent vote fraud, they’ll be able to pass laws restricting who can vote.

And the fewer people who vote, the better for the Republican Party.

via Little Green Footballs – PA Republican Leader Admits: The Fewer People Who Vote, the Better for the GOP.

You sure were not bitching about that, when that was working for President George W. Bush  —- were you Chuckles?

Yes, I have read your archives; in fact, I have read everything from 2004 and 2000 and I fail to find anything of the sort about George W. Bush; of whom you supported.

But now that there is a black Democrat in the White House, according to you —- the Republican Party is now the corrupt party of voter suppression. 🙄

You sanctimonious twit, you are such a hypocrite that it is spewing from your ears and you know it.

Open Message to Charles Foster Johnson of Little Green Footballs

After reading this blog posting here.

There is only one thing that I can truly say and to make the point, I shall use the words of someone who you most likely watch every night….or at least used to, when he was still on the airwaves.

There was a time, when I actually did respect your opinions. There was a time, when I actually was foolish enough to actually believe that somehow or another you were some sort of legitimate voice of criticism of the extreme Christian right and the fascist idiocy that sometimes happens in those ranks. That time has sadly come and went away. You Mr. Johnson have proven yourself to me to be as intolerant, as incompetent, mildly incoherent and ignorantly fascist; as some of the very buffoons that you criticize.

You use the term “ignorant religious fanatics” that alone is one of the biggest fascist statements of intolerance of Religion ever uttered by someone who is an American. You sir, made your mark as someone who blogged against the intolerance of radical Muslims, who sought to push their maddening agenda of a sick and backward Religion upon the rest of America on September 11, 2001. Now, it seems that you have joined the ranks of those bastards with your blog. The only difference is, you are intolerant of anyone who disagrees with your idiotic narrow-minded worldview.

Let me also give you a sober and somber warning. If by chance that this Government did capitulate to the demands of radical Islam and did begin rounding up dissenters; you would be one of the first ones that they would come and get. You with your secular worldview and anti-Religious bigotry. You would be the first to go. At least, with Christians, we do believe in something. They would target us last; but you, and your pony-tailed rock and roll look — you would be deemed a greater threat than us.

Remember that Johnson. In your quest to be an enlightened one — you have become, what you once fought against.

Tell me Johnson, when do you start bashing Muslims and Jews? When do you start bashing and persecuting the Roman Catholics? As it seems that you are playing the harlot for the unbelieving crowd. I get it, you like an easy target, the Christians, the one crowd that will not fight back; the WASP’s. (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants) Funny you refer to their beliefs as “right-wing fundamentalist hooey.” Funny thing is, most of that of which you refer to in your asinine posting is mainline Evangelical Conservative Christian beliefs. You would not know Fundamentalist doctrine, if it bit you on your rather large behind.

Which brings me to my last point. You never were a person who wanting to fight for freedom. You were looking out for number one — your own self. Which is the agenda of most unbelievers —- themselves. You like a few of the idiots in the “right-wing” blogosphere, are out for one thing and one thing alone — themselves — and they will step on anything and anyone, who gets in their way. I know, I have been stepped on by them, more than once. Funny thing is, most of the claim to be Christians. But, in all honestly, most of them, who are “Holier than Thou” — would not know Jesus Christ, if he bit them on their behinds.

So, take comfort Johnson. You have much in common with the right.

Wasserman Schultz to get the boot?!?!

Normally, I don’t blog on stuff like this; because if it happens to be wrong, I, like everyone else, looks like an idiot. But, anyhow, it’s news and I need new content.

The Moonbat of the year is leaving?!?!?! Horrors!

Back in April, the Shark Tank floated the likelihood that Democratic National Committee Chairwoman (DNC) Debbie Wasserman Schultz was perhaps on her way out as DNC Chairwoman. We now have learned that Wasserman Schultz will not be back as DNC Chairwoman after the November elections.

According to our source within the Democratic Party, who is also a close associate of Wasserman Schultz, the arrangements have already been made for her to leave DNC  regardless if President Obama wins re-election or not.

This same source believes that Wasserman Schultz will be forced to resign behind closed doors and then stage an press event in which she tells Americans that her job as the DNC chair was a temporary one and that she is moving on with her congressional career.

via DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz Getting Booted | The Shark Tank.

Some on the right are saying, “No! Don’t get rid of her, we like her stupidity!” Which is quite humorous, I think.  Truth is, the Democratic Party does have a image problem at the moment; arrogant, overreaching and well, in some cases — blatantly stupid.  Schultz personifies that idiot image.  No word on whether her Jewish ethnicity plays any role in that image or not. Although, I tend to believe that are many WASP’s, like me, who could answer that one in the affirmative. I best be careful though, the Semite-baiting Neoconservatives will come after me again. 🙄

(and for those of you, who are too stupid to see it — Yes, that is a good dose of snark and sarcasm…)

Either way, it will be interesting to see who replaces her, perhaps Sheila Jackson Lee?

YAY! — Pro-Life movement scores HUGE victory in Michigan!

This is a heart warming story that comes with a Hat Tip to The Michigan Report, who just added my blog to their list of bloggers!

9:45a: Planned Parenthood of Mid and South Michigan has given up on its underhanded attempt to open a 17,050 square foot mega-abortion clinic in Auburn Hills, Michigan, a huge pro-life victory.

Moreover, Planned Parenthood is now out at least $1 million and stuck with a boondoggle.

Backstory

In November 2010 Planned Parenthood paid $733,151 cash for the unfinished shell and then tried to wiggle around a deed restriction by misrepresenting its planned use for the structure to adjacent hotel owners, who held the power over the restriction.

Planned Parenthood then preemptively sued the hotel owners after the couple became aware of PP’s duplicity and announced they planned to put up a fight.

As the legal wrangling ensued, the State of Michigan cancelled a $200,000 grant it had earmarked to Planned Parenthood to help finish the structure, after the money wasn’t spent by the end of 2011.

Meanwhile, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, led by Dr. Monica Miller, organized several protests at the site.

In January 2012 Planned Parenthood won Round 1 in court, but the hotel owners, aided by pro-life attorney Jim Carey, appealed.

But on May 18, 2012, Planned Parenthood unexpectedly dropped its lawsuit and agreed to an airtight deed restriction that bans “clinics providing abortion procedures” from using the building.

The new deed restriction was just made public yesterday, the same day Planned Parenthood offered the property up for lease.

Praise The Lord! Anything that works toward the preservation of the unborn is A-OK with me. I might be a good number of things; opinionated, potty-mouthed — But, there is one thing that you can never, ever call me — and that is someone who supports the killing of the unborn. It is wrong, it is immoral and I will blog on the behalf of the lives of the unborn till my dying day.

Again, this is good news. 😀

MSNBC Host Melissa Harris said What??!?!?!?!?

Holy smokes….

Via the Blaze:

Just in case you are not inclined to watch the video, here’s what she said:

  • “Americans of course responded in very typically American ways to [terrorism], something that many people in the rest of the world had already experienced.  We began with a kind of nationalist fervor that was justified as reasonable patriotism.”
  • “I’d like to point out that we clearly must have been having post-traumatic stress disorder because for about a year after September 11th, there were African-American men walking around the city of New York with N.Y.P.D hats on– that can only be explained as a P.T.S.D. response.”
  • “The other thing that happens in that moment, I don’t want to miss this, is that a new version of what America typically needs emerge, and that is a racial enemy.  Americans in part identify who we are, and who deserves what, through our notions of whiteness and of the racial enemies that are the non-whites.
  • “And in this moment, the new racial enemy became not so much Reagan‘s ’welfare queen,’ who was imaginary, but instead this imagined other that is somehow Muslim, or Arab, or Sikh, or something else.”
  • “We became willing to stomach a kind of horrific racial violence in the name of national security.  It is something that we have been willing to stomach as a people over and over again in our history.”
  • “The Patriot Act was not an act of a Republican president acting alone.  The Patriot Act was a bipartisan decision by both parties.  It was not bought and paid for by corporations; it was bought and paid for by our fear.”

You see folks, this is why I do not vote for Democrats any longer. I was one of the many who were traumatized by the images of 9/11, which ran continuously; which almost drove me to suicide. For this BITCH to insinuate that I am some how a racist, because I still hold some very deep convictions about 9/11 and those who were responsible for it — is a grievous insult to those who died on that terrible day. This woman should be fucking fired from her job. She just shit on the graves of those who perished that day and just spit in the faces of those who lived through that horrible event.

Unbelievable — just damn unbelievable.

UPDATE: I came back to this posting, because I knew I could do better. I figured some serial complainer would bring up the fact that I even mentioned that this woman was black. Okay, so I removed that — but how is it that this sort of disgusting sort of racism towards whites is even remotely tolerated in public discourse? I mean, if a white man had gotten up and said something similar about blacks or Latinos — or yes, even Jews — this person would be derided as a racist or antisemitic. But, yet, this woman, who happens to be black, can spout this sort of idiotic nonsense and it is just perfectly okay. My friends, something is wrong with this damned Country and I mean in a big way. I predict that 30 years from now, if the socialists continue the way they are going — people will be saying that America actually deserved the 9/11 attacks and that White Christians were the true cause of those attacks. Oh wait, they already do. 😡 I’m sorry, but this one gets me fighting mad. 😡 😡 😡
