Stupidity from Reason Magazine’s Hit and Run blog

Oh yeah, this is weapons-grade idiocy here:

So let’s get this straight: Like a marauding elephant, America sticks its trunk in Latin America, snorts out NBCone-trillion in military and other aid to stop the flow of drugs that Americans want, gives a huge push to drug cartels in these countries who unleash all kinds of unspeakable atrocities on innocent civilians, and now, when these civilians desperately try and get their children out of harm’s way by grasping at a Bush-era law that is required to give them a hearing, nativists march on the street blathering about America’s national sovereignty?

Where were they when their guvmint (which is about to authorize nearly $4 billion in emergency funding to deport these kids immediately) was violating the sovereignty of Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala — the three countries from where most of the  unaccompanied minors are coming from?  These countries enjoy the highest murder rate in the world, thanks, in part, to our drug war.

via Let the Kids Stay: The Drive to Deport Unaccompanied Minors, Refugees of America’s Drug War, is Immoral – Hit & Run : Reason.com.

…and that murder rate is our problem? No, it isn’t. This is why I do not call myself a libertarian; because it seems that libertarians seem to have a problem with what is known as “Rule of Law;” not to mention a Nation’s sovereignty. What gets me, is how this libertarian likes to use terms like “nativist”; which is nothing more than a dog whistle term which basically is calling those that are opposed to illegal immigration racist bigots. Which, by the way, happens to be a tactic of the liberal marxist left. Funny how that works, isn’t it?

This is what separates we American-loving Conservatives, who believe in limited Government; yet, believe in a much needed rule of law and are constitutional moderates and the libertarians who want little or no Government at all and are political extremists who basically want anarchy. The first is a reasonable position which has been around for years and works quite well; and the second being a position that is well out of the norm, and ultimately leads to failure and chaos.

This is why not one person has ever won the National election for President of the United States from the Libertarian Party; because libertarian ideas on subjects like this one are so far out of the norm that Americans simply reject them. Whether the liberals and their anarchist friends like it or not; America is a center-right Country and they believe strongly in things such is border security —- which protect Americans from many things; such as diseases, loss of jobs, and potential terrorists. The libertarians failure to understand this is why that party is, and always will be a third party that never, ever get elected to anything at all at the national level.

In short, as Bill O’Reilly likes to say on his show: libertarians need to wise up and get their heads out of their butts; if they want to be taken seriously by the rest of the Country.

The A.D.H.D. Chronicles: Changing Medication

As I have written on here before, I have adult A.D.H.D  and as I have also written on here before, I am now covered under Michigan’s expanded Medicaid. Today, for the first time in about 20 years; I went to see a Doctor — not just any doctor, but a MSN, PMHNP-BC kind of a Doctor. One that I talk to about my A.D.H.D. I have to go about every 6-8 weeks to see her. Fun Fact: She is one beautiful woman and really nice; and very white. Believe you me, that is a plus; especially for me.

We talked a bit. I told her about my blog and politics; and my Christianity. She thought it was great. I think she might be either a Christian and a conservative. Although, she didn’t tell me and I really did not ask her at all.

So, having wrote all that, I wanted to tell my readers, what little of you that actually do read here —– that there are going to be some changes. First off, I am going off of Desipramine 50 mgs twice a day. I am going on Wellbutrin XL and generic name for it is buPROPion 150 24 hour tablet. She is also dropping the Desipramine to 25 mgs, two pills a day for a week and then 1 pill daily for another week and then off of it for good.  I shared some issues with the Desipramine; which I do not really care to share here. So, my doctor is basically phasing out the Desipramine and going with a new medication for A.D.H.D.

What that means for me and this blog: Well, for starters, I have no idea how this medication well make me feel. So, for the next few days. I might be silent, while I adjust to the new medication and see how it makes me feel, concentrate. I don’t know how intense the concentration level will be. So, I shall be doing that touchy feely, touch and go for a few days. I might post something letting everyone know that I am still alive. My doctor wants to ease me into the new stuff. I might end up being put on something else; If I don’t like this one. We will have to see. Either way, I will keep everyone up to date on what is happening with me.

Wish me luck! 😀

Some good tips for bloggers.

Jacqui Murray has a good posting up called 27+ Tips I Wish I’d Known About Blogging. It’s a very good list. Here’s a few that I would add myself:

1. Never pick fights or start blogger wars. It’s just not worth it.

2. You won’t get rich off blogging, especially if you blog about politics. You *might* get rich; if you are blogging about something politically neutral, like being a mommy or something like that.

3. Don’t blog about politics unless you have really think skin, because politics and the people around it or in it, can be nasty.

4. Be patient.

5. Be ready to get told that you suck or are stupid for writing about what you like.

6. Advertising ain’t cheap. Good advertising is even *less* cheap.

7. Tip Jars are awesome. Don’t be too proud to use one.

8. Be original. Have your opinion, don’t just repeat whatever everyone else is saying; but have a damned good defense of your beliefs.

9. Also be ready to become a pariah, if you happen to disagree with people. Folks, the Jack Daniels whiskey strength truth is that bloggers, especially political ones; can be just downright cruel. Be ready to have your personal life, and this includes pictures of yourself blasted around the net — should you do or say something that some idiot blogger decides that he or she (or both) simply does not like. Been there and did that; and yes, it does suck. 😡

Other than that; there’s not much else. I do not blog with the same frequency as I did when I started. I simply burned out. I quit for a while, but I did come back; but with a bit more of a relaxed style. I let the bigger bloggers handle the big stuff. I will post something, if the notion hits me; but I never force a posting anymore. To me, it is simply not worth it anymore.

Former New Orleans Mayor, Ray “Chocolate City” Nagin gets 10 years for corruption

The video:

The Story:

NEW ORLEANS — C. Ray Nagin, the former mayor of New Orleans, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Wednesday on federal corruption charges, ending a case that began with the rebuilding of the city after Hurricane Katrina.

The sentence was less than the recommended 15 years, but Judge Ginger Berrigan of United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana told the court that the evidence failed to show that Mr. Nagin had organized or had been a leader of a corruption scheme.

“Mr. Nagin claimed a much, much smaller share of the profits of the crime than any other member of the group,” Judge Berrigan said, referring to the businessmen who profited from the scheme. The judge said that Mr. Nagin’s leadership was much needed after Hurricane Katrina but that it had also been lagging.

Prosecutors objected to the sentence, a move that could set up an appeal.

Mr. Nagin, who will remain out on bond, hugged family and friends after the sentencing, and was quickly driven away from the courtroom. “I’m trusting God is going to work all this out,” he said during sentencing. The judge ordered him to report for prison no later than Sept. 8.

Good place for the idiot; here’s hope he rots in that prison.

Just remind you of what this slime ball did during Katrina:

Like I said, I hope he rots. 😡

Liberals, Neocons and 9/11

I am writing this because of something I saw on another blog, namely the neoconservative leaning HotAir.com. Now, I understand “AllahPundit”‘s humor. I also understand the silliness of Rosie O’Donnell.

However, there is one thing that I will never change on; and that is my mistrust of the United States Government. I did not trust it when I was blogging as a “historic populist” and I still do not trust it. I felt that the United States Government was out of control, when Bush sent us into Iraq; just like I did when Bill Clinton signed off on Janet Reno’s sending in the tanks into the Branch Davidian compound, that caused David Koresh to kill his own people. Furthermore, I felt that the executive branch was out of control, when Bush pressed congress for the invasion of Iraq; just as I do with Obama and his “end running” around Congress.

Sure, Rosie’s verbalizing what many, like myself, feel about 9/11 and related events; was, at best sloppy. However, I believe that we will never know, what really happened on 9/11 and who all was involved; at least not until all the principles are long dead. Some people are content to accept the Government’s narrative and are content to believe that what the Government says is one hundred percent true; just because President Bush was in office —- I, on the other hand, do not have such issues.

Please, do not misunderstand me here; I am not, nor have I ever been a “9/11 truther.” Because most of the people that promote that sort of a thing, have some sort of an agenda, whether it be political or financial. I have no such agenda. I am saying that the Government pulled off the attack? No. What I am saying is, that there is a good deal of information that has not been released to the American people, either because of political reasons or because of pending cases. I also happen to believe that there are more facts related to the Trade Center Towers collapsing that never have been brought to light. Again, due to pending cases or because of political reasons. Now, for the record, I do not happen to agree with Rosie O’Donnell’s statement; what I do believe that anyone who calls someone like myself, who wants ALL of the truth out there, a truther or toofer or worse; a Marxist liberal, is playing straight out of the Al-Qaeda handbook.

Just as well, I do NOT happen to believe that the Jews did 9/11, nor do I believe that the Bush Administration did it either. Neither are smart enough to do it; nor are they smart enough to keep it a secret. I do however, believe that there were more terrorists in this Country; than the ones who died in those planes on 9/11 and I believe that some of them might have gained access to the WTC buildings — and could very well have detonated those towers and other buildings from remote control or with a timed device.

In closing: One of the biggest mistakes that I made, when I came to the blogging scene was assuming that, just because I happened to disagree with Bush that I had to be a Democrat or at least vote for them; which I did for a very long time — that is until 2007, when I decided that party was just not for me any longer. One of the biggest lies is that the Democratic Party happens to stand for the working class in this Country, of which I happen to be. The truth is that the Democratic Party does not happen to give a remote flip about the working class, the middle class or even small business owners any longer.

Because of this ignorance, I allowed myself to get sucked into the propaganda that the left spews out on a daily basis; which has become more deluded since the election of President Obama. There are divisions that are forming; the Obama loyalists versus the rest of the party and grassroots. Still though, both sides do have a common causes and basically that is “social justice” or basically a marxist Government.

Thank God that the Democratic Party finally took off the mask; and stopped playing that center-left charade and I was able to see them for what they truly really were. As for 9/11: I happen to agree with the notion that neoconservatives are evil people; especially some of those who served in the Bush Administration. However, I will be quite honest; the neo-left is much, much more evil. I would rather suffer under a neoconservative, than live in fear under a neo-leftist President. Truthfully though, I doubt highly another neoconservative will be elected; too many Americans are still bitter over Bush’s mishandling of the Iraq War. I do, however, believe that if the Republican Party plays its cards right, we could very well win in 2016. However, knowing politics like I do; they might just make the same mistakes again.

Kudos to Seth Mandel for writing this here

For all of my issues with Zionism, Wilsonian Foreign Policy, and Neoconservatives; it is truly refreshing to see someone in that crowd speak some sanity about what is currently happening in Israel right at the moment.

From Commentary Magazine (!):

The killing of an Arab teen, Muhammad Abu Khdeir, in Jerusalem last week has added a harrowing dimension to the tragic series of events in Israel. Police have not concluded their investigation, but they initially leaned toward the explanation that the killing was done by Israelis in retaliation for the kidnapping and murder of three Jewish teens, whose bodies were discovered last week. The Israeli police have now made arrests that would seem to bolster that theory, with the Times of Israel reporting that “the investigation has led them to believe that the act was most likely carried out by Jewish extremists in revenge for the killing of three Israeli teenagers earlier in June.” If confirmed, it’s sickening; and those who worry about how this will affect Israel’s reputation in the international community are getting it exactly backwards: there is a more pressing concern than reputation at a time like this.

And I don’t just mean the killing, to which I’ll return in a moment. The outpouring on social media of anti-Arabincitement has been shocking. The encouraging aspect to this has been the official denunciation of such incitement, both from the government, united in its revulsion of the incitement, and from groups of private citizens speaking out against it. Also encouraging has been the reaction of religious leaders.

[…]

…….The Jews fighting for a state in Palestine became desperate, as the British authorities’ response to terror was appeasement, and as the British sought to close immigration to those fleeing genocide, thus handing out death sentences to Jews by the thousands even as they were being eradicated at their points of origin.

Today the Jews of Israel have a state and the right of return and an army to defend themselves. The grief and anger being felt in Israel is understandable. The incitement with which it has recently manifested is, as Amar said, a self-destructive act–a betrayal, and not a defense, of the Jewish people.

I’m done with Bruce Gerencser

I tried being civil to Bruce Gerencser and now that seems to have been a tragic mistake.

I happened to stop in over at Bruce’s blog and added a comment to a posting over there.

What followed was rather shocking; considering how I approached Bruce and his departure from the Faith. I even defended him from an attack by other Fundamentalists. Not once did I ever, never, attack him personally for leaving the faith, ever! I showed more grace to that man, than anyone else ever would, especially among the Fundamentalist Christian circles.

Well, it appears that what I showed to that man meant absolutely nothing at all. As he sat there and allowed his commenters to attack me; and never lifted a finger to stop it at all.

I guess the apostle Paul was not joking when he wrote this:

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. — (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV)

The Lord’s grace is unlimited; mine is not. So, seeing that Mr. Gerencser is not interested in being a man; and stopping an attack on his blog, I have decided to not grace that site with my presence any longer. I feel bad that he was used and abused in the IFB circles; and that he used that as an excuse to turn his back on the Lord. But, I do not have to be treated like that; not at all.

Perhaps my taking a non-judgemental stance towards him was a mistake; not one I will never make again — not in this lifetime. To be quite honest, I do not believe that the man was even truly saved in the first place. Bruce might have said a prayer; but there was no true heart conversion. If there was, he would still be among the believers. Truth is, he said a prayer, and was trained and conditioned in the ways of the Church. However, when the heat was turned up, he grew frustrated and looked for an excuse to leave; and the books he read gave him his excuse. This happens quite a bit in Christianity, not only in IFB circles, but in Christianity in general. People that do this are not grounded in their Faith at all.

Just for the record, I am not angry at Bruce or his so-called blog friends. I am more disappointed than anything else. I really hope that one day, that he wakes up and realizes what he just did here to me. However, I doubt that will happen. Bruce seems quite set in his new way.

I will continue to pray for him; Bruce says it won’t do any good. However, I have faith in God. (unlike him…)

Update: I went back and looked; and sure enough, Bruce basically has revealed his true colors towards believers. I thought he was an honorable man; I was wrong.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. – (Revelation 20:11-15 KJV)

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV)

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. – (1 Corinthians 12:3 KJV)

Fourth of July for Marxists

You know, I really was not going to post anything against the left today, seeing that it is a holiday. But, you know; I just think this needs to be said.

Take a look at what this holiday means to the left; go here, herehere and here — and read what this truly American Holiday means to these stinking Marxist swine bastards. These people are evil to the stinking core; and should be identified and treated as such. These aren’t the Democrats of the Roosevelt and Truman era; these are Marxists and committed ones at that.  You know, sort of like our so-called President?

In my mind and in my humble opinion; there is only one thing more evil, more dangerous and more Satanic than the marxist liberal left; and that is the bastard neoconservatives of the Kristol and Podhoretz stripe. Those are the bastards that gave us Iraq and want us to go back; and they are the ones who want to bring down, along with the Marxists; our current American capitalistic system, in favor of a one world Government — complete with a one world currency and a microchip under the skin of the hand. They will get it too, once the body of Christ is taken out of this sin depraved world.  After all, the neoconservatives are of the same tribe which sent Christ to the cross for supposed blasphemy.

Instead of yowling on any further, I’ll just quote this:

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. — (Matthew 10:16 KJV)
