43 percent of Democrats still say "No Thanks" to Obama

According to a New CNN/Opinion Research Poll, 43 Percent of Democrats still say that they’d rather stay home, than vote for Obama.

Quote:

One week after Sen. Hillary Clinton made a public show of unity with Sen. Barack Obama, a new survey suggests supporters of the New York senator are increasingly less likely to follow her lead.

A growing number of Clinton supporters polled say they may stay home in November instead of casting their ballot for Obama, an indication the party has yet to coalesce around the Illinois senator four weeks after the most prolonged and at times divisive primary race in modern American history came to a close.

According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Friday, the number of Clinton supporters who plan to defect to Republican Sen. John McCain’s camp is down from one month ago, but — in what could be an ominous sign for Obama as he seeks to unify the party — the number of them who say they plan to vote for Obama is also down, and a growing number say they may not vote at all.

One thing to remember, it’s very early in the election cycle. These numbers will change before November. I believe that because the said importance of this election, I believe that the Democrats, who are not supporting Obama, will take a long hard look at McCain, and take a long hard look at Obama, and will come around and vote their party. Raw emotions aside, they will vote for Obama.

Of course, the Neo-Cons and McCain supporters are wetting themselves, because of this news, but of course, they want to keep a Republican in the White House, to protect their investments. They want to keep that “Enron loophole” open, so, that they can continue to remain wealthy.

Do I believe that Obama flip flopped? No, I think he was clear on his policy, but I also believe he is refining his message to appeal to the center, which is quite upsetting to the far left, like the Huffingtons and the Kossaks.

Again, I think before the election in November, these poll numbers will change. Stay Tuned.

So much for the idea of McCain getting Clinton’s votes!

So much for that idea! Check it out…:

Since Hillary Clinton decided to concede the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama last week, Obama has established a lead over Republican John McCain in general-election polling. Obama’s gains have come more from women than men, though he has picked up among both groups in recent days.

Obama’s lead among women has now expanded from five percentage points to 13, while his deficit among men has shrunk from six points to two.

These figures are based on aggregated Gallup Poll Daily tracking interviews with national registered voters conducted May 27-June 2 (the week immediately before Obama clinched the nomination on June 3), which showed Obama and McCain tied at 46%, and June 5-9 (the five days since it was reported that Clinton would suspend her campaign), which show Obama ahead, 48% to 42%. Obama clinched the nomination on the evening of June 3, and the news media reported Clinton would suspend her campaign on the evening of June 4. Thus, the data give a clear picture of voter support before and after Clinton’s exit.

While campaigning for president, Clinton demonstrated an especially strong appeal to women. She led McCain by 52% to 40% in her final full week as a candidate, exactly equal to the average since mid-March. By comparison, Obama held only an average 47% to 42% lead over McCain among women during the same time span. At least for now, he seems to be matching Clinton’s performance among women versus McCain, given his current 13-point lead among female voters.

One of Clinton’s core groups of supporters during the nomination phase of the campaign was older women. During the last few days of her active candidacy, Clinton led McCain by 51% to 41% among women aged 50 and older, while Obama trailed McCain among this group, 46% to 43%.

Since Clinton suspended her campaign, older women’s vote preferences have shifted toward Obama, so that he now enjoys a six-point advantage over McCain. Obama Gains Among Women After Clinton Exit (via Gallup)

I think at this point, the best John McCain can do go after the older White Conservatives who distrust Obama and the Military crowd. The startling thing about this poll, is it was taken not long after Hillary said she was dropping out.

Call it a hunch, but I tend to believe, that Juan McSame is going to get his ass handed to him on a platter in November.

Chuck Baldwin officially launches his campaign website….

I received some great news this morning in my e-mail inbox. Dancing

Pastor Chuck Baldwin has officially launched his Campaign website.

I am voting for Chuck Baldwin because he more represents the American values that I, as a Christian, as a Libertarian and as a Constitutionalist, hold very dear.

He might not win, but I will know that my vote went for someone who still believes in the old Paleo-conservative values that I hold dear. I will also know, that my vote did not go to a third term of George W. Bush, a Neo-Conservative, Globalist, Shill or a Socialist, Marxist, Liberal.

This notion that if you don’t vote for John McCain, that your vote is a vote for Hillary or Obama is the biggest lie and the great travesty ever heaped upon this Nation. Heaped upon it by warmongering bastards who want to send this Nation into a pit that it will never get itself out of.

I ask you today, Libertarian, Constitutionalist, Conservative, Republican, wake up and realize that this Nations only hope, is found in this man.

Check out his Website, Forum  and go to his "Money Bomb" page.

Let’s get American back on the right track, vote for Chuck Baldwin

Let us not forget our United States Servicemen

While I have been a very vocal critic of the Bush Administration’s Handling of the war in Iraq. I will always stand in honor for our United States Military.

Early Morning Political thoughts….

Morning everyone!

Sorry about bailing on everyone last night man. I was just pooped. I finally overcame the staying up all night and sleeping all day nonsense. I now keep some very early hours, and I mean VERY early. I mean as in, being in bed at 9:00 P.M. and being up at 4:00 A.M., I would say “old people” hours, but I’m 35, so, I’ll just refrain from the old people jokes. You young punks quit that damn snickering, ya hear? and get off my lawn!

Anyhow, silliness aside, I have been snooping around this morning on the Politics sites, and I’ve seen how Barry and Hillary made out.

As most people know, Barry pulled off a big victory in North Carolina. Which I wasn’t surprised to hear about. Although, his victory there was racially lopsided, they say.

As for Hillary, she squeaked one out, in Indiana. A narrow political victory, that is, which the tea leaf readers say.

She’s also, according to Josh Marshall over at TPM, she’s canceled all appearances on the morning talk shows. So, it could be that she and her advisers are in hunker down mode and figuring out a graceful way out of the race. or she decided not to break out with the bubbly and celebrate, seeing it was quite the narrow margin.

The numbers as of now are…:

Indiana

Clinton 51% – Obama 49%

North Carolina

Obama 56% – Clinton 42%

That margin in Indiana is a 2% margin, that’s nothing to jump up and holler about.

Ugh… 5:37 a.m. and I still haven’t got this entry out… between glancing at the TV and getting more coffee, this isn’t going very fast…

Anyhow, according to what I’ve just observed on MSNBC this morning, Hillary says that she will continue to fight for the Presidential nominee. Wonder if she means, that she knows she will not get it?

Anyhow, that’s the political update and my opinion on it. Stay Tuned…

New Polls out, The Obamassiah is recovering….

Go read.

Short results:

Obama 49% Clinton 45%

Obama 51% McCain 40%

Some are not buying it, others are. Either way, it’s going to be an interesting race. Tuesday’s Primary will be quite interesting too.

Stay Tuned.
