It seems that according to various British media sources, the United States scored a major victory in Iraq.
Too bad the vast majority of Americans, unless they read blogs, won’t hear about it. That’s because the United States Liberal controlled media is too busy trying to tell Americans that the war in Iraq is lost and that we’re losing, and so forth.
What further proof do we need, that the Liberals in this country, hate America, Our Military and the values that we conservatives hold dear?
It is no wonder that places like the New York Times and other dead wood media sources are losing money left and right and will eventually be put out of business.
The Silence of these media sources speak volumes to me.
A totally crazy Saturday-morning thought: Wouldn’t George W. Bush make an awesome high-school government teacher? Wouldn’t it be something if his post-presidential life would up being that kind of post-service service? How’s that for a model? Who needs Harvard visiting chairs and high-end lectures? Of course, the bastard liberals don’t want you to see this, you see, it doesn’t fit into their script of “We cannot win this war! We have to get out, we need to be taught a lesson, like we were in Vietnam!”
The picture captures the paradox of compassionate tenderness housed in a battle ready man.
But the primary reflection that seized me is the trust that the little boy has toward a mighty warrior. This is a picture of humanity with God. The Bible declares that God is “Almighty” and an awesome and terrible force against evil and unrighteousness. Yet, He can be trusted so that we may approach Him like a little child. He will lower Himself to listen to us and talk with us. He will allow us to find refuge upon Him from the scorching sands of this world.
You see, the godless, Christ-denying bastard liberals don’t want you to see this, because according to their rather idiotic mind set, there is no god, so, we are free to be void of any responsibilities. We should just withdraw and not clean up the mess, that, admittedly, we made. And THEN return home with honor. But our defeatist Liberals want us to come home in shame and dishonor.
You see now, why I switched sides? I’m not Republican, not by a long shot, But I’ll be damned, if I’ll ever side with the America hating Liberals.

I posted this, not for some stupid political ploy, not to be clever, but to remind everyone, no matter what your political stripe or conviction or feeling, You are, We are, all Americans. This is our land, and we should, at least once a year, stop and reflect on our freedoms. The freedom to write, the freedom to Pray to whatever God we wish or the freedom to not pray, at all. The freedom to agree, the freedom of dissent or to disagree, the freedom to assemble or simply the freedom to do nothing at all.

In another sharp break with its traditions, the court struck down parts of the District of Columbia’s gun-control law. After seven decades of holding that the Second Amendment’s right to bear arms is tied to raising a militia, the court reversed itself and ruled that it confers on individuals the right to keep guns in their homes for personal use. The decision will no doubt add significantly to the number of Americans killed by gun violence.
Corporations fared especially well in this term. The court reduced the punitive-damages award against Exxon Mobil for the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill from $2.5 billion to about $500 million, a pittance for the energy company. In the process, the court declared that in maritime cases, punitive damages should not exceed the actual damages in a case. According to the natural progression, there should be about 35,633 firearms deaths in 2009 even without the recent supreme court decision; let’s assume that a “significant” increase would be at least twice the expected rate of increase given population growth, to say nothing of the economic downturn and global warming. So, if the prophetic skills of the New York Times is to be trusted, gun fatalities should rise to at least 40,000 in 2009.
My view is that they won’t get anywhere near that level, unless, of course, Obama gets elected and decides to govern in the conventional African manner.

I must say, I am not in the least bit surprised about this, at all. I know little or nothing about the other person who was running John McCain’s Campaign before, but quite frankly, he was doing little more than making John McCain look like some sort of a foil or stooge for Barack Obama.

It is as they say, polls speak louder the words, and up till very recently, John McCain was lagging behind Barack Obama. So, a change was made. Either way, it can only be for the good.
