43 percent of Democrats still say "No Thanks" to Obama

According to a New CNN/Opinion Research Poll, 43 Percent of Democrats still say that they’d rather stay home, than vote for Obama.

One week after Sen. Hillary Clinton made a public show of unity with Sen. Barack Obama, a new survey suggests supporters of the New York senator are increasingly less likely to follow her lead.

A growing number of Clinton supporters polled say they may stay home in November instead of casting their ballot for Obama, an indication the party has yet to coalesce around the Illinois senator four weeks after the most prolonged and at times divisive primary race in modern American history came to a close.

According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Friday, the number of Clinton supporters who plan to defect to Republican Sen. John McCain’s camp is down from one month ago, but — in what could be an ominous sign for Obama as he seeks to unify the party — the number of them who say they plan to vote for Obama is also down, and a growing number say they may not vote at all.

One thing to remember, it’s very early in the election cycle. These numbers will change before November. I believe that because the said importance of this election, I believe that the Democrats, who are not supporting Obama, will take a long hard look at McCain, and take a long hard look at Obama, and will come around and vote their party. Raw emotions aside, they will vote for Obama.

Of course, the Neo-Cons and McCain supporters are wetting themselves, because of this news, but of course, they want to keep a Republican in the White House, to protect their investments. They want to keep that “Enron loophole” open, so, that they can continue to remain wealthy.

Do I believe that Obama flip flopped? No, I think he was clear on his policy, but I also believe he is refining his message to appeal to the center, which is quite upsetting to the far left, like the Huffingtons and the Kossaks.

Again, I think before the election in November, these poll numbers will change. Stay Tuned.

I posted this, not for some stupid political ploy, not to be clever, but to remind everyone, no matter what your political stripe or conviction or feeling, You are, We are, all Americans. This is our land, and we should, at least once a year, stop and reflect on our freedoms. The freedom to write, the freedom to Pray to whatever God we wish or the freedom to not pray, at all.  The freedom to agree, the freedom of dissent or to disagree, the freedom to assemble or simply the freedom to do nothing at all.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) won the Texas primary popular vote not because of her famous "3 a.m." ads but because of Bill Clinton’s campaigning, according to a Barack Obama strategist who spoke to Time’s Karen Tumulty.

Obama could benefit from the former president’s stumping in small towns, just like his wife did, Tumulty suggests.

“At first I thought it was just this random thing with Blogger’s spam bots,” she told me in a phone interview. “I thought that perhaps in their looking across the blogger universe, that I got accidentally flagged somehow. Stuff like that happens.”

But a short time later Snedeker received an email from another blogger claiming that a number of anti-Obama blogs had been “hacked” that same night. After some digging it became apparent that several Blogspot accounts had been shut down because of similar spam issues, and nearly all of them had three things in common: Most were pro-Hillary Clinton blogs, all were anti-Barack Obama, and several were listed on justsaynodeal.com, an anti-Obama website.

To be fair to myself, I have criticized Obama, Hillary AND John McCain on here. But this is nothing more than blatant censorship. It is also an attempt to stifle dissent. Which is a common trait of Fascism.

So, I’m asking my readers, whomever you are, to pony up and help me get this Blog of mine off of Blogspot/Blogger.

Via WKMG-TV in Florida:

Vandals spray-painted “Obama Smokes Crack” and other hate messages on 60 city vehicles parked across the street from City Hall in downtown Orlando.

Local 6 showed several vehicles covered in different colors with the “Obama” messages.

A passing motorist initially spotted the damage and called police.

“I’m driving by and every car I see has been hit with spray paint,” witness Mike Lowe said. “There is so much damage to them. There are messages written on them and the vandals left their business card, which is crazy.”

Special business cards left near the damaged vehicles contained negative messages about Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain. However, there were positive words about Sen. Hillary Clinton, Local 6’s Kimberly Houk reported.

Some of the vehicles also had opened gas tanks.

Orlando police are investigating the incident and the business cards left at the scene.

Okay, I’m just going to say this, But this kind of stuff is just plain wrong. What really got me was this:

I hope these vandals are caught soon and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law… Not liking it, because your candidate lost the election is one thing, but blatant stupidity is another.
