Freaky Deaky Post of the Day: Western Canada Meteorite Scares People… (Boo!)

Back Story Via the Edmonton Sun:

Researchers are trying to track down a meteorite that flashed through the skies Thursday night before a snowfall makes the search impossible.
Otherwise they’ll have to wait until spring when the snow melts, and chances of finding it may be slim by then, said Frank Florian, director of space sciences at Edmonton’s Telus World of Science.
“That’s why we need to iron this down today,” he said.
Florian has been receiving hundreds of phone calls and e-mails about the meteor sighting, all with varying accounts of where the flash of light took place.
“We’re trying to take all the reports and put them together in a meaningful conclusion as to where it might have fallen,” Florian said.
The rock seems to have flown in the general direction east of Red Deer and west of Saskatoon and appears to be about 18 metres or larger, he added.

You may have noticed…

That I’m not posting as much.

Well, it’s because I’ve been doing a little something for extra money. I’m doing a thing called Pay to Surf. The place that I am using is called take the globe, you might have noticed the new banner up there. It’s not big money, couple of cents per site.

Taking Issue….

I normally do not comment on things I see written on other Blogs. Because the last time I did it. I did it wrong and a whole bunch of crap got started. This was in another Blog incarnation that I ran, Before I decided that the “Left of Center” of the political pool was NOT where I wanted to be anymore.

So, having said that, let me just say that I do not intend this to be a “Blog War”, at all. Because I am just not interested in fighting over politics, it is just not worth it. So, this is not to be considered picking a fight, but rather just a comment on something written on another Blog. If they happen to come read this, fine. If they don’t, no big loss.

First off, Jeff over at Protein Wisdom said something about the whole Sarah Palin hacked e-mail thing and I kind of took issue with it.

A quick beef: Anonymous is not, from what I can tell, necessarily “left wing” — though they most certainly are little wannabe fascists. From what I can gather, they likely think of themselves more as TRUTHTELLERS with an anarchist strain, and so may be of the left-libertarian / anarchist bent. In other words, politically confused.

Sorry Jeff, As someone that I.D.’s himself as a Libertarian Conservative, I do have to take issue with that…..and I’ll explain why, okay? So just hear me out a little here.
