UPDATED: Removed Cannonfire from the Blogroll

Why?

Because of this:

The next sentence contains the most politically incorrect words ever found on this blog. I’ve become a semi-regular Chick-Fil-A customer. To be specific: About once a month, I take the train out to the Chick-Fil-A in Hunt Valley, a restaurant run by outrageously dorky white people. It’s the epicenter of honkiness in the Western hemisphere.

Let’s admit it: Part of the reason we go to certain restaurants is to acquaint ourselves with the stereotypical trappings of a foreign culture. You go to a Mexican restaurant expecting to hear the Spanish language (or at least the accent), and you want to see tiled floors and tiled bathrooms and bullfighting posters and, well, lots of other Mexican stuff. You go to a Greek restaurant because you want to be around lively people who say “Opa!” a lot. You go to Buca di Beppo because you want the Pope room, and you want to feel that somewhere nearby there are a couple of guys in dark suits figuring out how to whack the entire Tattaglia family.

As awful as it sounds, I don’t enjoy going to the Chick-Fil-A near my home. That one is staffed by a lot of black people who are very competent, very friendly, and very dull. They just don’t make me giggle. No, when I wolf down a chicken sandwich and waffle fries, I want to do it while people-watching the hilariously pale. Their antics perpetually challenge me to keep a straight face. The women wear perfume and dresses and sky blue sweaters, and their hair is always the color of safflower oil. The men sport the kind of haircuts men got in the 1950s, and they say God Bless a lot. On my last visit, they were talking Wheel of Fortune. And football. And Intelligent Design. And Ronald Reagan. Yep, good ol’ Ronald Reagan: Now there was a real president. He finally got rid of the deficit before that damned Dimmycrat Bill Clinton ran it up sky-high again.

Besides that fact that his statements about the Ronald Reagan are totally wrong and his stereotyping of White people is simply moronic and juvenile at best; the underlying thing here is that this is nothing more than, I assume, black on white racism. There is nothing that I detest more than true blue white racists and that is black racists. It is something I have personal experience with, as does my own family.

So, he is gone; I may not be the biggest “right-wing” blog in the conservative blogosphere; but I will be darned if I will link to a blog that fosters that sort of anti-white mentality and racism. I only added Mr. Cannon’s blog, because he was critical of Obama. I guess he is not the Democrat that I thought he was; my mistake.

Update: For the record, Mr. Cannon was reacting to this here: (Via TPM)

Oversimplified. But, quite accurate.

Update #2: For those who might have an issue with the above that I wrote. Could you imagine, if someone like me, had written on a Conservative blog, something to the effect of, “I was down at the local chicken shack here — I like going there, because it is the most “niggered up” business on the planet!” I mean, the howls of accusation of racism would be deafening; but yet, this prick can write something like this? It is a double standard and it is a bunch of bullcrap! 😡 For the record, however, Chicken Shack around here, was founded by white people; funny that. 🙄

Update #3: Joe Cannon is not black, he says; although there is no picture to prove that one. So, he must one of those self hating white guys, or anti-white white people who like to denigrate white people; especially those whom he disagrees with politically. It is a typical tactic of the liberal left. The real kicker is this; He comes back with the whole, “Oh, I am just kidding!” disclaimer. Yeah right. 🙄 If I drove over to the east side of Detroit here and walked into a party store and started saying, “What a bunch of stupid niggers!” and then said, “Oh, I am kidding!” You know darned well what would happen to me! I’d get my arse kicked or my throat cut! But, the liberal idiot can do that stuff? Something is wrong with that party man, and I mean bad. Not to mention this little article here that Cannon wrote about Israel. Now where did I hear this before?:

Same thing, different day. 🙄

Has it gotten that bad over at National Review?

I hate to be the one say it. But, if I must, I must!

Has it gotten that bad over at National Review that they are now linking to silly liberal articles at the Washington Post that question that official report on President Kennedy’s assassination?

How hard is it for people just to accept that truth? The truth is that Lee Harvey Oswald, a military trained sniper and Castro sympathizer — shot and killed the President of the United States. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyone who preaches anything other than this, is looking to fatten his pocket and fund his or her own cottage industry.

Personally, I find it absolutely disgusting that the National Review, a respectable Conservative magazine and conservative internet publication would even entertain such vapid silliness. I mean, it is bad enough that you have Matt Drudge linking to Alex Jones, who is a dishonest charlatan. Now, we have to contend with National Review doing that sort of nonsense?

I honestly have to think that what I read someone say in the conservative blogosphere once; that it is as if the conservative world is being invaded by the crazy people. Sometimes, I think this person was absolutely correct.

Joe Piscopo says adios to the Democratic Party

Join the club Joe.

Joe writes in the Washington Times: (via Newsbusters)

I don’t think I’m ready to become a Republican yet … In good conscience, however, I can’t continue to call myself a Democrat. In becoming an independent, I think I’m maintaining the independent (dare I say, libertarian?) mindedness and patriotism that my parents endowed me with. For the country’s sake and for their own, I hope the Democrats wake up.

[…]

I was a Democrat because while it was clear to me that the Republican politicians were out of touch and cared for only the upper class, Democrats like Franklin Roosevelt cared for the masses and helping the working man … By and large, none of these values are represented in the Democratic Party today.

From where I’m standing, the party has largely abandoned its commitment to civil rights and instead allows race-baiters to be national power brokers. As spokesman for the Boys and Girls Clubs of New Jersey, I am hurt that there is not one Democrat in Washington who cares enough about the great inner cities of this country to help those in dire distress from poverty and crime. These cities are in worse shape than those countries from which all those illegal ‘children’ crossing our borders daily are coming….

Most disheartening, though, is the Democrats’ weak commitment to a strong defense and maintaining America’s place in the world as the only superpower. All I see is an American foreign policy led by a Democratic administration that is floundering when it comes to things like dealing with Iraq, Russia and Syria, inept when it comes to crises like Benghazi, and weak at the knees when it comes to protecting our strongest Middle Eastern ally, Israel.

When you lose someone, like this guy? You know your political party has issues. 😯

I voted today

image
It is a patriotic duty of ALL Americans to vote in elections. Many men and women died on battlefields for the right to vote in free elections. Don’t pass it up.

I voted today and I hope you did too. As you all know, I am in Michigan and today we are having our primary for governor and several local seats. I voted for governor Snyder for governor of Michigan.

The reason why I voted for governor Snyder for governor of Michigan again is for the following reasons:

1. Governor Snyder passed  expanded Medicaid for people like me who were long-term unemployed and fell through the cracks of Obamacare. Some people on the right here in Michigan did not like the fact that Governor Snyder passed expanded Medicaid. I am NOT one of those people. As some of you already know I have not worked for almost 10 years now, at least not for anybody else.  I also found out this past year that I have diabetes type 2, and I also have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Not to mention I also have ADHD and I take meds for it. So this expanded Medicaid for me was a blessing and for that I voted for governor Snyder again. Now I wasn’t too happy with the right to work law the governor Snyder passed, however as far as I can tell that law has not affected the big three at all which includes my Dad.

2. Quite frankly, I simply do not trust Democrats to run the state again. Jennifer Granholm’s tenure here as governor of the state of Michigan was an absolute freaking disaster. When the previous governor left office in the state of Michigan, the state of Michigan had a budget surplus. Jennifer Granholm left office, the state of Michigan was in so much debt it was unbelievable. To me, that points to incompetence. For this, I decided that I could no longer trust Democrats to run the state; and I voted for governor Snyder the first time and because of Governors accomplishments, I voted for him a second time.

I do pray the governor Snyder does win this election again. Because I would sure hate like hell to see this state go back into the craphole that it was, when Granholm was running it.

Here is hoping the governor Snyder wins again.

A good read: Ten Reasons Why I Am No Longer a Leftist

Head on over and give this one a read. Many of the reasons why I walked away from the Democrats and “the left” are featured here. I was not what you would call a “leftist.” I just voted for Democrats. However, as I really began to look at the left-wing movement, I realized, whoops! I am in the wrong camp.

One thing he writes that really hits home is this one here:

7) Leftists hate my people.

I’m a working-class Bohunk. A hundred years ago, leftists loved us. We worked lousy jobs, company thugs shot us when we went on strike, and leftists saw our discontent as fuel for their fire.

Karl Marx promised the workers’ paradise through an inevitable revolution of the proletariat. The proletariat is an industrial working class — think blue-collar people working in mines, mills, and factories: exactly what immigrants like my parents were doing.

Polish-Americans participated significantly in a great victory, Flint, Michigan’s 1937 sit-down strike. Italian-Americans produced Sacco and Vanzetti. Gus Hall was a son of Finnish immigrants.

In the end, though, we didn’t show up for the Marxist happily ever after. We believed in God and we were often devout Catholics. Leftists wanted us to slough off our ethnic identities and join in the international proletarian brotherhood — “Workers of the world, unite!” But we clung to ethnic distinctiveness. Future generations lost their ancestral ties, but they didn’t adopt the IWW flag; they flew the stars and stripes. “Property is theft” is a communist motto, but no one is more house-proud than a first generation Pole who has escaped landless peasantry and secured his suburban nest.

Leftists felt that we jilted them at the altar. Leftists turned on us. This isn’t just ancient history. In 2004, What’s the Matter with Kansas? spent eighteen weeks on the bestseller lists. The premise of the book: working people are too stupid to know what’s good for them, and so they vote conservative when they should be voting left. In England, the book was titled, What’s the Matter with America?

We became the left’s boogeyman: Joe Six-pack, Joe Hardhat. Though we’d been in the U.S. for a few short decades when the demonization began, leftists, in the academy, in media, and in casual speech, blamed working-class ethnics for American crimes, including racism and the “imperialist” war in Vietnam. See films like The Deer Hunter. Watch Archie Bunker on “All in the Family.” Listen to a few of the Polack jokes that elitists pelted me with whenever I introduced myself at UC Berkeley.

Leftists freely label poor whites as “redneck,” “white trash,” “trailer trash,” and “hillbilly.” At the same time that leftists toss around these racist and classist slurs, they are so sanctimonious they forbid anyone to pronounce the N word when reading Mark Twain aloud. President Bill Clinton’s advisor James Carville succinctly summed up leftist contempt for poor whites in his memorable quote, “Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.”

The left’s visceral hatred of poor whites overflowed like a broken sewer when John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate in 2008. It would be impossible, and disturbing, to attempt to identify the single most offensive comment that leftists lobbed at Palin. One can report that attacks on Palin were so egregious that leftists themselves publicly begged that they cease; after all, they gave the left a bad name. The Reclusive Leftist blogged in 2009 that it was a “major shock” to discover “the extent to which so many self-described liberals actually despise working people.” The Reclusive Leftist focuses onVanity Fair journalist Henry Rollins. Rollins recommends that leftists “hate-fuck conservative women” and denounces Palin as a “small town hickoid” who can be bought off with a coupon to a meal at a chain restaurant.

Smearing us is not enough. Liberal policies sabotage us. Affirmative action benefits recipients by color, not by income. Even this limited focus fails. In his 2004 Yale University Press study, Thomas Sowell insists that affirmative action helps only wealthier African Americans. Poor blacks do not benefit. In 2009, Princeton sociologists Thomas Espenshade and Alexandria Radford demonstrated that poor, white Christians are underrepresented on elite college campuses. Leftists add insult to injury. A blue-collar white kid, who feels lost and friendless on the alien terrain of a university campus, a campus he has to leave immediately after class so he can get to his fulltime job at MacDonald’s, must accept that he is a recipient of “white privilege” – if he wants to get good grades in mandatory classes on racism.

The left is still looking for its proletariat. It supports mass immigration for this reason. Harvard’s George Borjas, himself a Cuban immigrant, has been called “America’s leading immigration economist.” Borjas points out that mass immigration from Latin America has sabotaged America’s working poor.

It’s more than a little bit weird that leftists, who describe themselves as the voice of the worker, select workers as their hated other of choice, and targets of their failed social engineering.

This guy is spot on, man is he ever. He also speaks about how his Faith in God came into conflict with the left as well. Believe me, I can relate to this one too. There was a time in this Country when the Democrats actually respected Christianity and Faith. Now, it is looked down upon.

Reading this article, was like reading my own reasons for leaving the Democrats and the left. Glad to see that I am not the only one, who has come to the conclusion that “the Left” simply is not the party of the working class American Christian any longer.

Others: protein wisdom

woman, murder, and stuff

As a rule, I don’t link to this guy; as we have had issues in the past — not to mention other stuff —  But, this one is a big story.

Go read: Massacre: Ronald Haskell Murders Six Members of Texas Mormon Family : The Other McCain.

Now, I feel the need to write about this; because I happen to know a good deal about disabilities and such. There are some out there, that would like to place me in the same class as this guy. If you don’t believe me, check out the links above in the first line of this blog entry. Anyhow, I simply have A.D.H.D. which is basically a learning disability. It mainly affects me in the math department. It also affects my ability to concentrate and stay focused on one particular thing at a time. I have also switched medication for my condition; as much as I hate using that term, makes me sound like I have disease or something. 🙄 Anyhow, so far, so good on the medication change.

As I wrote in this posting here, sometimes bloggers, including the one linked to here; can be downright cruel. This is one of the reasons why I simply do not wish to be part of their “cool kids club.” Because if being a part of that clique means that I have to say things about people, that I really do not know; that are cruel; I want nothing to do with it. When I started my blog “Political Byline” and even back when I ran my first blog, “the populist“, I had walked away from a relationship with the “Church World”, because I had been “done dirty” by a Baptist Pastor. As a result of that, I was angry, very angry —- and I needed a diversion.

….and diverted I did for six long years. I went in, head first; tossed my Christianity in the back seat and went to war against what I thought was evil. In the process of that; I let myself go. One only need to read the archives of my second blog and you will see f-bombs galore. Same goes with my first blog too; what little you can see of it on the wayback machine.

Sometime around 2011, when I closed my second blog and for about a month left the blogging scene; I really had to sit back and take a long look at myself. What I saw — was a mess. What I did was ask the Lord for forgiveness for letting myself get to that point. After that, I made a promise to the Lord, that if I started another blog, that I would try my darndest to let people see Jesus Christ in me; and not me, the sinner, saved by grace. Have I always measured up to that? No. I have failed at it many times. If I sit here, and counted the many times, when I blew my testimony on here and on my previous blogs, I would be here all day writing this posting. All I can truly say is: Thank God for Grace. As I need it every day of my life here on earth.

All I can say about those who believe that I am in the same class as this person above, that did these murders is this here: I know that I might have said and did things in the past that might have given that sort of impression. I can assure you that I am not. Most of what I did was based upon things that others did themselves and I was reacting to it. At the time, my actions were justified, I felt. However, looking back, some of those actions were a bit of an overreaction. I guess that comes with age and maturity. It also came with a change in a medication as well.

Desipramine is the medication that I was on for A.D.H.D. It worked well; but there were side effects. Dry mouth, issues in the sex department; see Viagra, if you know what I mean. This dates back to when I was dated my ex-girlfriend. It also too, tended to make me have a bit of an attitude. I tended to be a bit of a “Hard A$$” with desipramine. Ritalin made me paranoid; more so when I was older. Desipramine was different. I was laid back; but I could be a hard butt. I did not like it at all. Which is why I changed meds with my new doctor for the ADHD.

Another thing that I noticed about this murder story is that this guy killed this family —- over a woman. This is one thing that I will never understand at all. Why would anyone want to commit a murder, over a vagina? I will never understand that one at all. I mean, having sex and the stuff that goes along with that are wonderful. I have been there and did that; and I loved it! However, when a relationship or marriage goes south; just cut your losses and move on. No woman is worth taking a life over. Breakups can hurt; I know, I’ve been there. But, murdering some woman and her family; because she decided to leave you? That makes no sense to me at all.

Yeah, I know, I rambled a little, so what? 😉 😛

Video: Some thoughts from your host

I really have not done one of these in a good while. I thought I would share it with you. Please. excuse the unpolished look of this video. I do not own any video editing software and this slow laptop does not have enough memory to do alot of video editing; I know, I tried that and it locked the machine up. 🙄

Anyhow, here’s the video:

Eric Cantor loses in Virginia primary to Tea Party Candidate David Brat

This is huge. Politico has the story; and obviously, this is a huge blog story. AllahPundit calls this a political earthquake.

Here is the official “The Americanist” analysis:

This is a wake-up call to the Republican Party establishment. The business of “Business as usual” in D.C. among the Republicans on the hill is over. Much of this about illegal immigration;  as Cantor was in favor of passing amnesty and that simply did not sit well in Cantor’s district.

Quite simply, the American people are sick and tired of politicians who say one thing, when they are running for office and then, once elected, talk about bipartisanship and working with people on the other side of aisle. Cantor is someone who did that; and he paid the price for it.

Update: I went and thought about this a bit more and more thoughts came to my mind. One of the biggest things to come out of this upset is this: The upset is a message from the voters of Virginia to people who run on a platform of “Tea Party” Republican: “Do NOT B.S. us!” Cantor ran on the platform of the Tea Party and rode the wave all the way to the House of Representatives. The problem is that once Cantor got up there, he started sounding and acting like an establishment Republican. Sorry, but the line of, “I will work with my colleagues and my colleagues across the aisle” is not going to cut it with Conservative grassroots anymore.

The American people are sick and tired of the people on the hill, in both parties; blowing smoke up their butts and telling them that it is good for them. The days of the political shuck and jive are over and the American people; since about 9/11 and especially with the recent advent of social media —- are much more tuned in to what is happening in Washington D.C.

In short: Cantor’s defeat is simply a message to the Republicans; stick to your principles that we elected you on or you might just find yourself out of a job in a real quick hurry.

Joe the Plumber gets it right

I hate to say it, but he is right:

I’m not talking here about the three tragic murders Rodger committed by stabbing before his driving and shooting spree; I speak now only to the families of the gunshot victims in Santa Barbara:

It’s a tragedy.

I am sorry you lost your child. I myself have a son and daughter and the one thing I never want to go through, is what you are going through now. But:

As harsh as this sounds – your dead kids don’t trump my Constitutional rights.

Richard Martinez, whose son (Christopher) was among the murdered, choked back tears at a news conference, blaming politicians the next day: “The talk about gun rights. What about Chris’ right to live?” Martinez said – and much more.

There are no critical words for a grieving father. He can say whatever he wants and blame whoever he’d like – it’s okay by me. You can’t take a step in his shoes – at least I can’t.

But the words and images of Mr. Martinez blaming “the proliferation of guns”, lobbyists, politicians, etc.; will be exploited by gun-grab extremists as are all tragedies involving gun violence and the mentally ill by the anti-Second Amendment Left.

As a father, husband and a man, it is my responsibility to protect my family. I will stand up for that right vehemently. Please believe me, as a father I share your grief and I will pray for you and your family, as I do whenever I hear about senseless tragedies such as this.

via AN OPEN LETTER: To the parents of the victims murdered by Elliot Rodger.

I think Joe could have and should have worded it a bit nicer than that; but he does have a good point.

Update: Via Memeorandum: The Left is now having a fit about what Joe said. But of course. 🙄
