Stick a fork in 'em, The Clinton dynasty is over

I saw this yesterday, But I really did not feel like writing about it:

A new book is out with a highly critical but unsourced portrait of Hillary Clinton. This familiar occurrence — it’s happened too many times to count over the years — has usually been greeted with an equally familiar response: A fast and furious counterattack from the Clinton inner circle.

What’s notable about the highly publicized release of “Game Change,” however, is the virtual silence from the Clinton camp. The lack of public outrage seems to mark the sputtering end of what was once known as the Clinton political machine and underlines a fact that onetime Clinton loyalists acknowledge: The book’s primary sources about the former candidate and current secretary of state are her own former staffers and intimates.

As a result, there is no campaign of veteran Clintonites spinning the press corps and trying to pre-emptively discredit the book’s scathing depiction of Hillary Clinton as a rudderless candidate and a cheerleader for vicious tactics against eventual winner Barack Obama. There is no team of Clinton proxies going on cable television to denounce authors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann as scurrilous and unworthy of belief.

This time, Bill and Hillary Clinton are virtually alone.

via Game over: The Clintons stand alone – Ben Smith – POLITICO.com.

If the things in this book are even remotely true; then you can kiss the Clinton dynasty goodbye. Much of what was said in this book has been already said; by the people that made “Hillary, The Movie.” Which the Clinton machine worked like hell to keep from being promoted, during the 2008 election. Although there are some very new juicy tidbits that have been brought up. Like Ben says in this piece, the Clinton’s and their inner circle have not tried to come out and defend Hillary or Bill. So, it does look like they are either guilty as charged or just do not feel like dealing with it.

Bottom Line: Hillary Clinton made a huge mistake in trying to run for President, her ego and elitism got the best of her. In the long run, she did more harm than good, to her and her husband’s reputation by running.  This book also justifies Newt Gingridge and his Movie about Hillary.

The Republican Party's Resident Shrieking Harpy gets a Fox Contract

Oh Wonderful, wonder what she’ll do, show Russia from her house?

Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.

The network confirmed that Ms. Palin would appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multiyear deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person with knowledge of the deal said, though she will host a series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called “War Stories.

Hmmmm, what’s it going to be called; “How to keep the media from finding out if your daughter is knocked up”? God knows that’s what she’s good at. The good thing about this is, that she most likely will not be running for President, which is a good thing for the Republican Party as a whole. We need someone that can articulate fiscal Conservative ideas, not stupid muddled populism. Besides all that, we need someone who was actually raised here in the continental 48 and not some psycho shrieking harpy; who was raised on some obscure piece of land, that was not even a state in the union until 1959. We need restrained, disciplined leadership. Not some idiot moose hunting soccer mom, who thinks she on some sort of mission from God and would push the nuke button at a drop of a hat.

Bottom Line: Sarah Palin is the perfect embodiment of female entitlement and the highly hypocritical Evangelical Christian right. That is the LAST thing we need in the White House. I love Jesus and believe the Bible to be literally true; However, I do not want my Country being run as the Christian equivalent of Sharia law. Keep Christianity where it belongs, in the home and in the Church; and out of the Federal Government.

Late Night at the PB Pub Presents, Frausun

First of all, let me say, that the following is NOT my kind of music at all. But this fine gent contacted me and asked to put it on my blog.

Here is the press release in full:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

12/30/2009 Dallas, TX: Frausun, the old-world, experimental, gothic music project by Kurtz, has just released their first music video about spousal abuse in Muslim marriages called “Thunder in Your Veins.” The single is off of their new album “1000,” which debuted in late October.

Inspired by such musical influences as Dead Can Dance, Death in June, Peter Murphy, and David Bowie, Frausun is a one-man project representing the masculine expression of feminine energy, hence the name Frau (Woman) Sun (Male Strength). Kurtz, the sole performer of the group, is influenced by a variety of literary sources, from Kate Chopin and Keats, to Nietzsche and William S. Burroughs. The songs cover a variety of subjects from Tibetan Sky Burials and Goddess worship, to female empowerment and Alchemical love.

Kurtz was motivated to begin his project after reading a story about a woman killed in Afghanistan for being too “westernized.” Her crime was wearing lipstick.

“Thunder in Your Veins” tells the story of a woman who endures physical and mental torture at the hands of her husband, justified by his faith. Seeing no way out but death, she takes his life and walks free to help other women in their pain.

“I want my music to be a call for revolution. If just 1% of the women who saw the video and their reaction was to unite, putting knives to the throats of their abusers, then I know my work has succeeded.”

Music samples and the video can be experienced at www.frausun.com. Kurtz can also be reached at 214-883-3277 or thunderinyourveins@yahoo.com

With that, here is “Thunder in your veins”

Mandolyna Theodoracopulos talks about men

I pray that God would stop my heart, should I even become this much of a dolt:

I was visiting my father in New York. My brother, my male best friend, and my father’s sensei were also at the house. I wondered if they would have survived at all without me and our dutiful daily housekeeper. I imagine they would have eaten out every night, the house would have been in shambles, and a roach or ant colony would have moved in, as none of them can manage a simple dishwasher or washing machine.

The first morning during my trip, I found myself in the kitchen. I was happy to have the place to myself. I don’t care much for conversation before noon. The men trickled in slowly. I could not finish my breakfast. Each one berated me with requests.

My father does not do anything practical, not even boil water.

The sensei, while extremely polite and unassuming, can only cook using his microwave, not ours.

My brother needs three female assistants to do anything menial. He often makes such a fuss about his obligations, a stable of women manage his burdens simply to quell his anxiety.

My best friend cannot charge his telephone without someones help.

via Taki’s Magazine, edited by Taki Theodoracopulos.

I pride myself in being someone, who can cook and take care of myself very well; thank you very much. Cleaning? Well, that is another story. I have never quite understood how men that are that bad, can even survive. I guess you would say that I am overly self sufficient. Which might explain why I am single man. Weird as it might seem. I hate other people doing stuff for me. Some men love being waited on hand and foot; not me, I cannot stand it. Now before any smart asses bring up my personal living conditions; I am not referring to that, I am referring to simple tasks, like washing clothes. The only person that washes my clothes, is me. That way if something is messed up, the person I have to blame, is myself. Cooking is another one. Around this place here, my Dad cooks Breakfast and Supper. My Mom used to do all that, but when Dad retired, she told him, “It is now your turn!” and promptly resigned as house cook. Surprisingly, my Dad cooks very well; Oh, it’s not got all the fancy frills of a woman’s cooking. But it is surprisingly good cooking. Now, if I were on my own, could I cook my own food? Yes, absolutely. In fact, I have quipped to my Mom in the best, much to her amusement, that the Four things that I can do rather well are Read, Cook, Drive, and Screw!  (I do not mean with a screwdriver either…)

Mandolyna Theodoracopulos goes on to write about how women are addressed in her household. Now, I am not sure if she was just being funny or if that was the honest truth. But, I will say this. If I ever addressed my Mother as “Bitch” or called her a “Bitch”. I highly doubt I would be living in this house for very long at all. Yes, My mother raised me to respect women; and I do my best. Even when they make horribly difficult to do so. In fact, I never once called my Ex-Girlfriend Laura that at all — at least not to her face. 😯 😮 😉 😛 😀 Now, her to me on the other hand; Well, we won’t go there! HEH! 😆 In fact, I can attest to a few times when I was referred to in a couple no so pleasant four letter words.

Another reason why this article caught my interest is, just by reading it, you can tell how different of a life that Mandolyna Theodoracopulos leads, than say, me. For you that do not know Mandolyna Theodoracopulos is the daughter of Taki Theodoracopulos, who is quite the wealthy man. Taki has also been married several times as well — go figure. I have always had a keen interest in the lives of the wealthy, how differently that they live; as opposed to we common folk. A passing fancy one might say.

Tragic News: Brittany Murphy has died

This is such a tragic story and one that I wish handle with as much respect and sensitivity as I can….

The Sad Story from TMZ:

Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.

She was 32.

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.

This hits home. I am 37; that is much too young to die.

From her Wikipedia Entry:

She was raised a Baptist and later became a non-denominational Christian.

I also happened to notice this:

Murphy performs for the crew during a United Services Organization (USO) show aboard USS Nimitz on June 19, 2003.

She was, I would assume, at least someone who thought much of our Military.

May God be with her husband and with her family.

May Brittany rest in peace in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Update: Understandably, This is a huge story in the celebrity Blogosphere. Click here to read the round up at WeSmirch, which is Memeorandum‘s sister site.

Charles Johnson writes something that I actually agree with

I am writing this, because I believe that Mr. Johnson makes a very valid point here. Before I begin, let me say that the feud between Mr. Johnson and Robert Spencer and the rest of them has zero to do with me. I do not wish to take sides. I see Johnson’s point and I see Spencer and his friends point.

Having said all of that I do agree with Mr. Johnson on this point here;  This is Charles Johnson reacting to the video that Sarah Palin made for the Billy Graham Ministry group:

Sarah Palin’s extreme religious beliefs are on display in this video released by the Billy Graham organization, in which she repeats the long-debunked fundamentalist canard that the founding fathers “dedicated the country to God,” and calls for America to be ruled by “godly” leaders.

And of course, she’s not talking about Judaism or Buddhism here. She’s advocating a religious test for office, and only Christians need apply. Has she ever heard of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the US Constitution?

This is why Palin was selected by the John McCain campaign in the 2008 election — to mollify the religious right.

via Little Green Footballs – Palin Calls for America to ‘Seek God’s Hand’.

I must say that I agree with that. I have long been bothered by the extreme religious right and their attempt to turn America into what England was back in the days of the monarchy, which was a theocracy. You see back in those days in England, if you did not submit to the religious rule of the Roman Catholic Church, and you chose to dissent, you were thrown in jail or worse — Killed. This is what the Roman Catholic Church wants again here in America, along with, mostly unwittingly, the evangelical right, hence the ecumenical movement.

What is my opinion of the Roman Catholic Church? I will answer that, anyone who has ever read The Book of Revelation; Chapters 17 & 18 (King James Version is the best for this reading) knows exactly my opinion of that god-forsaken false religion cesspool.

Now back to Johnson, He and I dislike Sarah Palin for some somewhat different reasons. Johnson hates her religion; I highly dislike her sense of female entitlement, her muddled populism, her blatant hypocrisy, her so-called “Conservative Feminism,” —- all of that just grinds me to my core. Because it goes against what I feel is true Conservatism. Anyone that has read books by Phyllis Schlafly knows of what I speak. Phyllis Schlafly is, what Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin claim to be; and that is a staunch Conservative Christian woman. Anyone that thinks that Sarah Palin is entitled to anything other than going back to Alaska and raising her many children, and for the sake of almighty God shutting her damn pie-hole and disappearing from the political scene —- sorry to say it, is not, what I consider to be a true Conservative.

Hell Hath No Fury

Of that of a Angry Woman with a golf club in her hand…. or something like that.

Via TMZ.COM:

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol — that should happen this afternoon. But we’re told Tiger had a conversation Friday — with a non-law enforcement type — detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

Tiger WoodsWe’re told Woods became “distracted,” thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We’re also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.

So, that no one gets confused here….here are the players:

Elin
Tiger Wood's Wife - Erin Nordegren

and….

Rachel Uchitel - The Other Woman
Rachel Uchitel - The Other Woman

😯 Man, How come I cannot have problems like that? 😛

But seriously, poor guy, I hope tiger makes a good recovery and is able to get his personal…ahem…affairs straightened out.

…and now for the politically incorrect line of the day!

Heck, I’d just invite them all over for a three way and call it even. Oh, I’m so bad! 😉 😛 😀 😆
