Memo to the owner of The American Conservative

More of this please

…and less of the anti-Semite, anti-Jewish, crap that Scott McConnell likes to publish.

Because, if the TAC wants to be taken seriously by the Conservative world, they need to do this. One can say, “I disagree with Wilsonian foreign policy” without all of the direct and nuanced Jew hatred. Now, in the past, TAC has not done that well at all. However, as of recent, they have been publishing some decent stuff.

The owner of TAC needs to step up and tell Scott McConnell to go publish over at Taki’s magazine or something and let the newer people publish more like the above.

Just my opinion.

More of that “Religion of Peace”: Muslims blow up another Church in Nigeria

Yet, they call we Christians and the Jews the backward, intolerant types:

It shames me that I am part of a society that not only sanctons this savagery, but demonizes and destroys those of us who speak against it. This will not end well, folks. The horror is unspeakable, the silence is monstrous.

Instead they run this kind of nonsense.

“Eleven dead, 30 injured in Nigeria church attack” Bangkok Post, November 25, 2012 (hat tipto Armaros)

Two suicide attacks on a church in an army barracks in the northern Nigerian town of Jaji on Sunday left eleven people dead and 30 injured, the army said.

“Eleven people, mostly worshippers, were killed while 30 are in the hospitals with various degrees of injuries,” national army spokesman Brigadier General Bola Koleosho told AFP.

A military officer who did not want to be named said the Protestant church was hit by two explosions.

“The first blast caused no casualties and curious worshippers gathered around the scene looking at the debris… and that was when the second blast happened,” he said.

Can someone tell me again, why we just do not go into all of these Muslim Countries and bomb them all into oblivion?

The stupid parties

We’re headed for a huge fiscal cliff; and what the heck are both parties doing? Standing around with their arms folded.

(Reuters) – U.S. lawmakers have made little progress in the past 10 days toward a compromise to avoid the harsh tax increases and government spending cuts scheduled for January 1, a senior Democratic senator said on Sunday.

The United States is on course to slash its budget deficit nearly in half next year. Closing the gap that quickly, which in Washington is referred to as going over a “fiscal cliff,” could easily trigger a recession.

“Unfortunately, for the last 10 days, with the House and Congress gone for the Thanksgiving recess … much progress hasn’t been made,” Dick Durbin, the No. 2 Senate Democrat, told ABC’s “This Week” program.

Still, lawmakers in both the Democratic and Republican parties have been trying to convince the public – and financial markets – that they are willing to compromise and can reach a deal before the end of the year.

via Fiscal cliff talks stalled for now but progress possible | Reuters.

We are so freaking screwed. The United States of America is heading toward one of the worst fiscal cliffs ever, that could produce another depression or at the very least a recession and both parties are playing politics. It is sick and disgusting, and this is why everyone wants to vote them all out and start over. I think these guys, will give this here, a run for his money on idiots of the week.

Idiot of the week

This guy, as described below, gets the award:

It’s become a tradition on every holiday that somewhere in the country a taxpayer supported university professor will come forth to trash one of our American traditions and this holiday season we were treated to a claim that Thanksgiving is really just a celebration of “genocide” created by “Nazis.”

A long-time, extreme left-winger named Robert Jensen, a taxpayer supported journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin, felt Thanksgiving eve was the perfect time to unleash his latest anti-American screed on the radical website Alternet. Titled “No Thanks for Thanksgiving,” Jensen claimed that this most gentle of holidays is really nothing but a celebration of genocide sponsored by Americans who are little different than Nazis.

To Jensen, Thanksgiving isn’t a day to give thanks for what we have, it isn’t a spiritual day to reflect on one’s good fortune, it is instead a “white-supremacist holiday” that would be better spent in a “day of mourning” for the “genocide” evil whites perpetrated against America’s native people.

Leave aside Jensen’s racist tendency of assuming every Indian tribe is just like the next — some Indian tribes welcomed and worked with the European “invaders,” as Jensen put it — he also illegitimately claims that the U.S. is an “empire.” It never has been

Bill Quick Says:

Since he seems to hate everything that he is – white, male, American – I suggest that the only rational solution for him is to shove a gun down his gullet and pull the trigger.

If he’s unclear on the mechanics of such an act, I’m sure they are any number of volunteers willing to help him out. To end his pain, you know.

Amen to that, seeing he hates America and all, I am all for ending his suffering. Now, before any of the idiot liberals that happen to read this blog; lose their minds, this is sarcasm. One point that I really think really needs to made is this one, and Warner Todd Huston makes it so very well:

Good thing he makes his living off a racist, capitalist, woman-hating country, isn’t it?

On the Taxpayer’s dime, no less. This is what your tax dollars pay for; an American-hating liberal, who thinks we’re all Nazi’s.

Unbelievable. 🙄

Why is the Wounded Warrior Project against guns?

This does not sound good at all. (H/T to Fred Propheter on facebook)

Although the controversy is just making its way to the mainstream radar, the Wounded Warrior Project has been disassociating itself with firearms and knives for the past couple of years. References on its website have changed from “firearms” to “weapons.” Corporate sponsors such as Savage Arms are now replaced with Acosta Sales and Marketing and UHAUL.

Listening to a recent interview with Wounded Warrior Project’s CEO Steve Nardizzi, well, you would have thought it was ‘ol Slick Willy dodging the question. He started off by saying the WWP supported the Second Amendment and was happy to participate in hunting adventures and shoots as fundraisers—yet it prohibits using the WWP logo at such events.

Nardizzi went on to explain that the Wounded Warrior Project would not co-brand with firearm or knife manufacturers and retailers. He explained, “The return on investment just wasn’t there.” Return on investment? How much investment is WWP putting into the pot? It has no problem taking the firearm industry’s money; it just doesn’t want to be seen in public with us. So, essentially, the Wounded Warrior Project’s stance is that it does not want to be seen kissing us after it is done poking us?

What a great message this sends to our wounded heroes: “You were trusted with assault weapons (real ones, not what politician’s term ‘assault weapons’ when seeking reelection) until you were injured in service to our country.” Then…well, you might decide to hurt yourself so—in defense of the WWP’s reputation, not your future well being—we cannot be seen as partnering with ‘those companies’ in public.”

The author was one of the lucky ones managing to return home unharmed and with a few fond memories such as enjoying a few rounds of skeet while aboard ship. Other returning veterans were not as lucky and need our support.

This was brought out in Leslie A. Coleman’s—public relations director for WWP—response to an e-mail message asking for a clarification to its stance, “Our position regarding firearms and alcohol is in response to the struggles that many injured service members face with substance abuse and suicide and the roles those items often play in those issues.” I wonder if WWP even considered the fact that the extra money could go toward additional support and treatment. Sweeping it under the carpet by playing politics sure as hell isn’t going to prevent a tragedy, but funds and support might!

If WWP does not want to play with the firearms industry, and it is all about the money, well WWP picked which side of the fence it wanted to be on, not me. And let’s go a step further in seeking the truth. It is not about the money. While being interviewed Nardizzi explained that co-branding requires significant internal coordination with lawyers, PR people and others to manage it and finished by stating that we wouldn’t understand it. Really? I certainly do.

Nardizzi was then countered with the suggestion of an offer to cover all WWP internal expenses, then co-brand (use WWP’s logo on guns and knives) as a way to contribute to WWP. Nardizzi refused to give a straight answer. So if it is all about the money and you offer to cover all costs, why wouldn’t WWP jump at the opportunity? Because it is not now, nor has it ever been about the money—it’s about the politics.

During the interview, Nardizzi took the offensive, saying, he “can’t believe donors would withhold donations from wounded vets because we don’t get anything out of it” (use of the logo). Yet, WWP would risk losing donations by playing politics instead of focusing on raising the funds to help our vets.

Go read the rest of that…

I think it is time to raise a stink about this one and let these people know that they are either on the side of liberty or tyranny. Pick a side WWP or get the hell out of business of the Military.

Windows Live Writer works wonders

Hey, um, Bill?

About this:

Sigh. Gotta remember to clear the Scribefire editing screen before starting a new post…

via History Lesson | Daily Pundit.

Windows Live Writer works so much better than Scribefire. I used Scribefire a few times. It just didn’t seem to work that great. I recommend Windows Live Writer or if you have a problem with windows. Try using WordPress “Press this” feature. It’s a little button that you can drag to your toolbar on your browser.

All you have to highlight the text that you want to quote and blog about, click on press this and voilà! you are blogging. It is rather nice.

Just a suggestion.

I am tempted to say, “What else is new?” 😉

I am so confused! When anti-Mubarak demonstrators gathered in Tahrir Square and were met with tear gas, they represented the Arab Spring. So what do these anti-Morsi demonstrators represent? Are they Arab Spring too? Or Arab Autumn? Or maybe the seasonal analogies are no longer operative.

But seriously, it is a good story, go check it out. Egypt is turning into a huge cluster fark.

When Blogging gets personal and serious

First of all, go read here.

Now, go here, and here.

I simply ask this question; at one point does this stop because rhetorical political stupidity and start becoming criminal stalking? I will tell you when, when said person starts threatening your wife and kids.

This has to stop, because someone is going to end up getting shot and killed. I will tell you this; if that bald-headed, faggot prick comes at me; he’d better have his A-game on, because this white boy don’t play. I grew up southwest Detroit, and we didn’t put up with this sort of stuff in the ghetto. We settled our beefs man to man, face to face.

Again, let him come at me; and talk some stuff.

Update: Da’ Tech Blogger says what I am thinking too. But in a much better way, of course.

The Saturday Night Music Express Presents: Steppenwolf

This is a song that I really never knew existed. It is from the late 1960’s. The lyrics are as relevant today as they were back when this song was originally recorded.

Also know this: There are some images in this video, as it was made by a fan, that I simply do not agree with. Some would consider them anti-Semite in nature and I simply think they’re silly really. But the message in the song is right on point, especially today with what is happening in our Government.

This is “Monster (America)”

youtube placeholder image

Words and music by John Kay, Jerry Edmonton, Nick St. Nicholas and Larry Byrom

(Monster)
Once the religious, the hunted and weary
Chasing the promise of freedom and hope
Came to this country to build a new vision
Far from the reaches of kingdom and pope
Like good Christians, some would burn the witches
Later some got slaves to gather riches

But from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
But she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

Then once the ties with the crown had been broken
Westward in saddle and wagon it went
And ’til the railroad linked ocean to ocean
Many the lives which had come to an end
While we bullied, stole and bought our a homeland
We began the slaughter of the red man

But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
And she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

The blue and grey they stomped it
They kicked it just like a dog
And when the war over
They stuffed it just like a hog

And though the past has it’s share of injustice
Kind was the spirit in many a way
But it’s protectors and friends have been sleeping
Now it’s a monster and will not obey

(Suicide)
The spirit was freedom and justice
And it’s keepers seem “friendly” and kind
It’s leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they were paying no mind
‘Cause the people “got” fat and “grew” lazy
now their vote “is like a” meaningless “Tune”
“You know they talk about law “about” order
But it’s all just an echo of what they’ve been told
Yeah, there’s a monster on the loose
It’s got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watchin’

Our cities have turned into jungles
And corruption is stranglin’ the land
The police force is watching the people
And the people just can’t understand
We don’t know how to mind our own business
‘Cause the whole worlds got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who’s the winner
We can’t pay the cost
‘Cause there’s a monster on the loose
It’s got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watching

(America)
America where are you now?
Don’t you care about your sons and daughters?
Don’t you know we need you now
We can’t fight alone against the monster

Open Message to President Barack Obama: About your daughters

I have noticed this as of late, First the Christmas tree thing, and this:

President Obama and his daughters went shopping at an independent bookstore in Arlington on “Small Business Saturday,” the annual marketing event for promoting mom-and-pop shops across the country.

According to press reports, the president picked up 15 children’s books in about 20 minutes – he reportedly had his shopping list on a Blackberry – at One More Page Books, owned by Eileen McGervey.

The president later tweeted the following: “My family & I started our holiday shopping at a local bookstore on #SmallBizSat. I hope you’ll join & shop small this holiday season. -bo.”

The president signs his Twitter messages “-bo.”

via President, daughters note ‘Small Business Saturday’ – Washington Times.

A little piece of advice for President Obama: You say that your wife and children are off-limits? Well, here is some advice for you Mr. President; keep them in the White House where they really belong. You do not want your kids being offered up for scorn, you believe they are off-limits? Then keep them out of the public eye, otherwise they are fair game to we bloggers, who disagree with you and your polices.

I mean, there is a ton that I could say about them, especially the older one. However, because I, like you, believe that children of political persons are off-limits and because of that, I have not written anything critical about your children. You did this very well during your first term; you kept them out of the public spotlight as much as possible, and because of that, your daughters have been so far spared.

I will admit, that some of the writers and bloggers on the right, have not been so kind to you sir and your wife and children. I cannot control what they do. However, I find your children being paraded around like this to be highly offensive. Let your kids be kids, and do not overuse them for political or White House events, please? I mean, Bush did that, Clinton did that, Carter did that and it was sick and disgusting.

Mr President, you sir are the President of the United States of America; Malia and Sasha are not — neither is Michelle — use them in public events very sparingly. When the girls are much older, they will thank you for sparing them the humiliation that comes with being shoved into the spotlight as kids later on.

Please note this, Mr President: I wrote this not as a mean old Republican, which I am not or as a mean old grassroots Conservative, which I happen to be. But rather as a proud American, who feels about you being President; as the late great John Wayne said, “I didn’t vote for him, but he’s my President and I hope he does a good job.” What I am trying to say, Mr. President, is that I actually care. I do not agree one percent with everything that you have done and continue to do — but I still respect the office of the President of the United States and because of that, I wrote this blog entry to you.

I am sending a link to this blog entry to the White House via the official website. I will let everyone know, if I get a reply back.
