About that previous posting

Just a quick note about my earlier posting…..

I changed the headline after getting some feedback from some people I happen to respect a good deal.

So, I dropped the profanity and gave it a bit more of an acceptable title.

Sometimes, I just write what I am thinking and, at times, forget what I am supposed to be and am supposed to act like. Oops. 😳

Apologies to whom I offended.

It is official: Jesse Ventura is very small man

In more ways than one.

The Story:

Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura is setting his legal sights on the widow of a former Navy SEAL he had sued for defamation.

Lawyers for Ventura have asked a federal court to continue his lawsuit against Chris Kyle — who was killed in February by a young veteran he was mentoring — by substituting Kyle’s wife, Taya, as the defendant. Ventura last year sued Kyle, a decorated former SEAL and author of “American Sniper,” claiming that the book’s description of a California bar fight defamed him.

“Although Kyle is deceased, his ‘American Sniper’ book continues to sell and it is soon to be made into a movie,” said Ventura’s motion, filed last week by Minneapolis attorney David Bradley Olsen.

Ventura’s lawyers said his claims survive Kyle’s death, and “it would be unjust to permit the estate to continue to profit from Kyle’s wrongful conduct and to leave Governor Ventura without redress for ongoing damage to his reputation.”

How can one have a reputation damaged, when that said person damaged it already himself? I mean this idiot lied about his Military career and is a whack job conspiracy theorist. There is not much else one can do there really.

I’m just saying…

Another Republican talking point about Obama’s healthcare law proven wrong

This is good news for people like me, who will soon be working for a living again, and will most likely need help from this new healthcare law.

The Story:

One of these days, a dire prediction about Obamacare will come true. Today isn’t it.

The Administration on Thursday released new information about the “Federally Facilitated Marketplaces.” Under Obamacare, every state must have an exchange—a place where people without employer-sponsored insurance can find insurance. Some states are running their own exchanges. Others are asking the federal government to do most, or all of, the work. Those federal-run exchanges are the FFMs.

To be successful, exchanges must have enough plans to generate some competition. The whole idea of the exchanges is to let people shop around, seeking the best combination of benefits, service, and prices—just as they might shop for a car, an accountant, or any other good or service. Yes, that’s probably more of a conservative idea than a liberal one. But, for competition to take place, insurers must participate. And conservatives have predicted the insurers would stay away, because of Obamacare’s supposedly onerous regulations and a fear that the whole system is doomed to collapse.

Even liberals like me have worried how the insurers might act—and, sure enough, some carriers really do seem wary. But plenty aren’t. On Thursday, the administration announced it expects the FFMs to have more than sufficient competition. At least one new insurer will be offering plans in about three-fourths of the FFMs, according to the administration, and 90 percent of “target enrollees” (people the administration is hoping will use the exchanges) will be able to choose from at least five different insurers. Given the poor state of competition that exists in many states today, the administration says, that’s a big improvement.

The data is preliminary and sketchy—and the improvement may not be as dramatic as the administration made it sound. “I would characterize it as modest plan competition,” Caroline Pearson, vice president for health reform at Avalere Helath, told Sarah Kliff of the Washington Post. “In most markets, there seems to be a bit more choice than what’s available in the market today. But we’re certainly not seeing a wild influx of plans into the market.”

via Obamacare Insurance Options: Looks like exchanges will have plenty | New Republic.

Believe me when I tell you, I am not a huge fan of President Obama and I was not too keen on the idea of “Obamacare.” However, I will tell you this, if anyone knows all about the cost of rising healthcare in this Country — It would be me. I had to cancel my health insurance that I was getting through the COBRA program. It just kept going up and finally, I simply decided to stop putting out that kind of money; and this was back when I was working full-time as a straight truck driver.

Needless to say, I am glad to hear that the Republicans might just be wrong on this little issue here. 😀

Oh, and by the way, I have some pretty darned good reasons for feeling this way too. 😡

Marines lose meal, Conservatives lose their ever loving minds about it

I wonder if they would feel the same way if President George W. Bush were still in the White House? I highly doubt it. 🙄

Marines at Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan will lose a key daily meal starting Saturday, causing some to forgo a hot breakfast and others to work six-plus hours without refueling on cooked food, according to Marines at the base and Marine Corps officials.

The midnight ration service — known there as “midrats” — supplies breakfast to Marines on midnight-to-noon shifts and dinner to Marines who are ending noon-to-midnight work periods. It’s described as one of the few times the Marines at Leatherneck can be together in one place.

The base, which is located in Afghanistan’s southwestern Helmand Province, flanked by Iran and Pakistan, also will remove its 24-hour sandwich bar. It plans to replace the dishes long offered at midnight with pre-packaged MREs, said Marine Corps Lt. Col. Cliff Gilmore, who has been deployed in Afghanistan since February.

The moves, though unpopular with many Marines on the ground and their families back home, are emblematic of the massive drawdown of American troops in Afghanistan and the dismantling of U.S. military facilities. More than 30,000 U.S. service members will leave Afghanistan in coming months as the U.S. prepares to hand responsibility for security to Afghan forces in 2014.

While no Marine at Camp Leatherneck agreed to speak on the record, many are privately angry about the hit on base morale.

via The drawdown diet: Marines steamed by loss of hot meal at Afghanistan base – World News.

I can almost tell you assuredly that if Bush were in the White House and this sort of a story hit; the unnamed Marines would be derided by the Conservative blogs, Fox News, Drudge, the political talking heads on the radio as some sort of liberals who hated Bush. They would also be mocked as cowards and shouts for their court martial’s would be shouted from the rooftops. However, because a liberal Democrat is in the white house, and because he is black; and over 95% of white people in this Country think he is not an American Citizen; this is some sort of a scandal.

The hypocrisy and predictability of the right anymore is almost funny, if it were not so sad. John McCain’s buddy was right, we are a Nation of whiners.

It is simply because MSNBC simply does not tell the truth anymore

It is simply the truth: MSNBC went into the tank for President Barack Obama during the election and now they are trying to defend the undefendable.

The story:

MSNBC got some very tough ratings news on Wednesday.

Another month of big crime and disaster news saw the network struggle to keep up with rivals CNN, HLN and Fox News. MSNBC was presumably expecting some dropoff from its 2012 numbers, since that was an election year, but it still landed in fourth place behind the other channels, a victim of HLN’s Jodi Arias-fueled surge and of President Obama’s scandal-ridden, defensive month. Overall, MSNBC saw its lowest total day viewer numbers since 2007, and its lowest prime time numbers since 2009.

MSNBC’s prime time numbers were down across the board. Rachel Maddow delivered what the Hollywood Reporter said were her lowest total viewing figures in her show’s history, and she even fell behind timeslot rival Piers Morgan—a very rare victory for the CNN host. Chris Hayes also delivered sharply lower ratings than the man he replaced, Ed Schultz, did in 2012. Both of them, along with hosts from Chris Matthews to Al Sharpton to Martin Bashir, landed in fourth place in their timeslots—a marked change from their normal second-place status. (“Morning Joe” did manage to come in second in its slot in total viewers.)

via MSNBC Lands In Fourth Place In May; Maddow Hits Ratings Lows.

Maybe if MSNBC tried telling the truth and stopped covering for the Obama Administration. maybe, just maybe their ratings might come back —- maybe.

Erick Erickson makes a good point

Broken clock is right at least twice a day. 😉

The Video:

The story:

Appearing on a Fox Business panel Wednesday evening, Fox contributor Erick Erickson suggested it is “anti-science” to reject the biological claim that men should be in the “dominant” role in the nuclear family.

This particular panel segment of Lou Dobbs Tonight took on a recent Pew study claiming that mothers are now the primary source of income in 40 percent of American households. Dobbs characterized the findings as “troubling” while panelist Juan Williams asserted that it indicates “something going terribly wrong in American society.”

via Fox’s Erick Erickson: It’s ‘Anti-Science’ To Not Believe Men Should ‘Dominate’ Women | Mediaite.

Of course, the liberal naysayers are saying the Erickson is prime evil number one for daring to express Biblical principles on a National TV show. Which is basically normal for them. But, Erick, Lou Dobbs and yes, even Juan and the other guy are correct. Well, unless you are some liberal idiot, who believes that woman ought to rule the household. 🙄

Update: It appears that Erick is catching flack for his comment and here is his defense:

Not everyone has the luxury of raising their children in a traditional manner and the rest of us have an obligation to help and support those in unfortunate situations. Likewise, there is nothing wrong with mothers having jobs. There is nothing wrong with women being breadwinners. Sometimes they have to by necessity.

But to say the two parent, heterosexual household isn’t the best for children or, more troubling, that our society should not be encouraging it, may make people feel tolerant and open, but it is killing our society. As Pew found, “Three-fourths of those surveyed say these mothers make raising children harder, and half worry that it’s bad for marriages. About half of those surveyed felt it was better if mothers stayed home with young children. In contrast, 8 percent thought it was better if fathers did.”

None of us can have it all. Women as primary breadwinners does make raising children harder, increasing the likelihood of harm in the development of children. While it is a reality in this world and sometimes even necessary, that does not mean we should not ignore the consequences of the increase in moms, instead of dads, as primary breadwinners.

People who seem to think it does not matter should answer one question: who is less valuable — mom or dad? The American people instinctively understand complementary relationships between men and women. The left should too.

Amen.

About those ricin letters

I have some thoughts about this here and I will share them after the story here:

A threatening letter was mailed to President Obama that is similar to two letters containing poisonous ricin sent to Mayor Bloomberg and his anti-gun group, officials confirmed Thursday.

The letter, first reported by NBC 4 New York, is being tested for ricin. It was received Wednesday at an off-site facility, and did not reach the White House, according to the Secret Service.

“This letter has been turned over to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force for testing and investigation,” said Brian Leary, a Secret Service spokesman.

The text of that mailing was identical to the letters sent to the mayor and his gun group, which threatened: “what’s in this letter is nothing compared to what I’ve got planned for you,” police and law enforcement sources said.

via Third Letter Sent to President Obama, Similar to NY Mayor Ricin Letters: Officials | NBC New York.

I just want to say the following: Call me cynical, but I happen to think that anyone who blames the NRA for the actions of one lone nut; is just scapegoating. Of course, the usual suspects are blaming that organization. I mean, it is one thing to blame radical Islam or America’s foreign policy for terrorism and Jihad. Because it is established that Islam, especially that of a political sort happens to be a  threat. A threat most likely created by the United States love for foreign policy.  However, this could have been some lone nut or even some idiot looking to smear the gun crowd.

This is why I have come to dislike politics, because both sides case blame so early, which is very dumb in my opinion. Casting blame cheapens the debate.  Now, before anyone says it in comments; I know about the stupid “We came unarmed, this time” signs. I wish those people with those signs were removed the Tea Party gatherings, as it gives the impression that Tea Party people are crazy. The accusation that the Tea Party supporters are crazy gun nuts or whatever is so totally unfair, because a good number of those people are like me —- people who love their Country and just do not want to see it end up like up like Europe or even worse, like Canada with a broken healthcare system or worse — broke. Truthfully, America is already broke and borrowing money for China as it is.

However, that is no reason to send these sort of letters, nor is it a reason do it, if you think your gun rights are being infringed upon. The best course of action is the ballot box; which is an American constitutional right that many a brave man fought, bled and died for in this Country and in other Countries abroad.

Anyway, just my thoughts on the subject. 😀

Sorry — accusing the President of United States of America of being high on cocaine is just WRONG!

First of all, before I get into this little story, let me remind everyone; for the purpose of informing the drive-by readers, that I am not an Obama supporter at all. I voted for Mitt Romney and I have repeatedly criticized this President before he was elected and after he was elected.  However, I did have him the benefit of the doubt on Benghazi, and I also rescinded that, once all the scandals came out.

However, the following that I am about report about, made even this Obama critic want to retch when I saw this idiotic conspiracy theory, which is solely based in old school Democratic Party racism; dressed up a legitimate political speculation.

Please, feast your eyes on this disgusting piece of racist bile, by a one Kevin DuJan — a Homosexual Hillary Clinton Supporter: (H/T to Little Green Footballs)

Yesterday, Rich Lowry at Politico wrote about “The Mystery Night” on September 11th, 2012 when the current US President disappeared for many hours and was seemingly unavailable…despite the fact that the first US Ambassador in 30 years had been murdered in the line of duty.  Lowry wonders where Barack Obama disappeared to that fateful night…and why White House aide Dan Pfeiffer insists it’s “irrelevant” where Obama was in those missing hours.

If you’ve ever known anyone who is a drug addict, you’d see it’s obvious that Barack Obama was high on cocaine the night of Benghazi; it is the only logical explanation for his disappearance and the White House’s refusal to comment on what he was doing at the time.  Since this was a night of great crisis for our country, the only logical reason that the White House won’t explain where the president was is if this man was high as a kite on illegal narcotics at the time.

Lowry did a great job in his article fleshing out the last time Obama was seen on September 11th of last year…and then noting when he reappeared again the next day, briefly, before jetting off to fabulous Las Vegas for a fun-and-games fundraiser event he had scheduled there (where, it also should be noted, not only Chippendales but also Thunder From Down Under male revues are regularly held…which certainly establishes the appeal of heading to Las Vegas instead of managing a national crisis back in Washington for this particular president).

The sick and sad part? This actually was linked to and written about, by some deranged far right loon, who writes at the Examiner.com.

For the record, Kevin DuJan is a Hillary Clinton supporter, who was one of the many who was fanning the flames of the idiotic conspiracy theories of the President not being an american citizen. The Hillary campaign were the ones who discovered this story; on, of all places, a White Nationalist website. After this, some so-called “Conservative” websites began, without attribution — copying this story, nearly word for word. This idiotic theory about Obama being a cokehead, and the basis for this libel was started by a one Larry Sinclair, who is, for lack of a better word, a thug criminal, with a questionable past.

Larry Sinclair is also a Homosexual, who is friends with, and used to broadcast his radio show on Jeff Rense’s network. Jeff Rense is a notorious Anti-Semite. I happen to know about all of this, because I happened to be blogging about of this, when it originally broke back in 2007 on my old blog — feel free to check the archives for yourselves.

The point of this, is not to defend the President of the United States, as much as it is to expose these two-bit, racist and anti-Semites for what they truly are —- hate mongers. It is a tragic sad shame that the Democratic Party is still the home of scum-sucking hate mongers like these people. This is why Hillary lost, not because she was not qualified to do the job; but because of the racial bigotry that she became “chummy” with during the 2008 election. It was a sick and sad ending to the new left that might have been able to fix the damage of the Neocons who were in power. Instead, because of the idiotic missteps of the Hillary campaign, such this here —- the new left was defeated.

Now let me be clear on something here. This is not my attempt at Frankfort School PC nonsense. This is the real deal, old bigotry that did, in fact, raise its head during the election. I was there, I saw it and yes, I wrote about it at the time. I am not a fan of the PC nonsense at all. But, as a Christian and as a someone who thinks that this brand of hate; although, I have been accused of it, by people with an agenda —- is simply immoral and wrong. Period.  Furthermore, I will call these people out and expose them for what they are, no matter what the cost it is to me as a writer and blogger.

….and that…..is all.

What I posted to the comment section of her youtube channel…:

Posted to the blog. …and you are SOOOOOO right about Syria. On the Government’s side we have Hezbollah, who hates the USA and wants to kill us. On the other, you have people being bankrolled and supported by Al-Qaeda; and they hate us pretty badly too.

It is a no win situation. The cute part is, you have idiot chickenhawk Neocons like John McCain going over there and giving support to terrorists! HELLO!!! Did that idiot forget what 9/11 was all about?!?!

Anyhow, nice video. Keep it up!
