UPDATED: Suspect in WA Shooting was Pardoned by Governor Mike Huckabee Update:Huckabee's PAC Releases Statement

Looks like Mike Huckabee’s Presidential aspirations are over.

Gabriel at Ace of Spades HQ Picks it up:

I’m sure a thousand people are digging up old news reports on Huckabee and Clemmons. And there will be a hundred stories in all the media tomorrow on Huckabs future in politics. Here’s the summary:

(1) Huckabee pardoned Clemmons because they had a mutual acquaintance, he labored at the governor's mansion under a prisoner work program, or a minister intervened on his behalf. No, I don’t actually know why he did it and Huckabee was notorious for refusing to give reasons for his pardons. These characteristics are what many of Huckabee’s pardons had in common.

(2) The possibility that Huckabee will run for president in 2012 has moved from “less than likely” (see sidebar) to “not a chance in hell.” Which, is just the way I like it. He always was just a Democrat with a Bible. His shameful campaign in Iowa ultimately gave us McCain last year. We no longer have to worry what Certain Fuckin’ Doomabee will bring us next time.

Oh Yeah, this is huge. If this dude got off free; because of Chucklebee. He will never see the White House, ever. I have to agree with this assessment. Everything that I have seen about Huckabee says that he was and still is a RHINO. Speaking of which, did anyone watch Huckabee’s show today? Did you happen to see the segment about the music that the soldiers listen to in Iraq and Afghanistan? Talk about some hardcore uncomfortable moments! Especially considering that Mr. Huckabee is supposedly a Christian and a Baptist.

Update #3: HuckPac Releases a Statement: (H/T to the Seattle P.I.)

The senseless and savage execution of police officers in Washington State has saddened the nation, and early reports indicate that a person of interest is a repeat offender who once lived in Arkansas and was wanted on outstanding warrants here and in Washington State. The murder of any individual is a profound tragedy, but the murder of a police officer is the worst of all murders in that it is an assault on every citizen and the laws we live within.

Should he be found to be responsible for this horrible tragedy, it will be the result of a series of failures in the criminal justice system in both Arkansas and Washington State. He was recommended for and received a commutation of his original sentence from 1990, this commutation made him parole eligible and he was then paroled by the parole board once they determined he met the conditions at that time. He was arrested later for parole violation and taken back to prison to serve his full term, but prosecutors dropped the charges that would have held him. It appears that he has continued to have a string of criminal and psychotic behavior but was not kept incarcerated by either state. This is a horrible and tragic event and if found and convicted the offender should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Our thoughts and prayers are and should be with the families of those honorable, brave, and heroic police officers.

Yeah, Sure Mike pass the buck. You are done you fool, now get rid of the show and stage act and go back to being a private citizen. What an idiot, fail to take any responsibility for his actions. I would never vote for that man, ever. Lost any and all respect that I ever had for him. ๐Ÿ˜ก Which, quite frankly, was not much at all. Mike Huckabee is a fraud, a phony, plays this self-righteous Christian game; all the while having secular music on his show. So typical of the compromising Southern Baptists, of whom 90% are not even really Born-Again at all.

Bill O'Reilly's Talking Points: Why Obama should hire me

Yes, he did say that.

(H/T Comcast Video)

Now Honestly, does Bill O. really believe that the Obama Administration would take him up on the offer? I doubt it. But it does make for some lighthearted commentary…. and considering what we have had to report as of late; a little humor is okay.

Of course, the Liberals will not get this at all. They never do.

Video: The Southern Avenger on "The Myth of Objective Journalism"

I do not always agree with Jack Hunter; however I do on this video here. Especially on his views of the Main Stream Media in the lead up to the Iraq War. Whether it is his anti-Military bias or an honest disgust with the Bush Administration; that Jack can only answer. But he is right, and very sadly so. The media was laying down on the job during that time period.

Having said all that, let me be absolutely clear; while I am quite happy that Bush’s surge worked and that Iraq, outside of the occasional car bomb, is much more stable than it was in 2006. But that does not take away from the fact that Bush’s invasion of Iraq and occupation of it was not justified. I believe that this will be a black mark on America for a long time to come.

Updated:Glenn Beck Sells out Doug Hoffman

Well, it is certainly good to know that you can count on Glenn Beck:

UPDATE 12:15: According to a Hoffman campaign source, Beck’s producers have canceled the scheduled appearance by the candidate on the 5 PM Fox News Channel program. However, Beck is expected to discuss the NY-23 election during the show.

via The American Spectator : AmSpecBlog : NY23: Hoffman’s ‘Miracle’ Campaign – UPDATE.

Thanks for your support Glen. I guess Glenn would rather use his show to blather on about his overly paranoid rantings about the Obama Administration; rather than help a man get elected that might actually change the course of that said administration.

Hence the reason I believe that Glenn’s show is solely about the promotion of Glenn Beck and nothing else. Which is why I am not a regular viewer of that show.

No wonder the White House dismisses Beck, as being some sort of a fruit loop.

Update: Thanks to reader RJ, who points out that it was Hoffman who canceled, and not Beck; that is according this article and this article.ย  My feelings about Glenn Beck’s show remain unabated.

Hey! What's Glenn Beck got against good speakers?

I kid of course…. But this video is quite funny. Especially Glenn’s mocking of Chris Matthews: (H/T AP)

Of course, Mediaite thinks Glenn ought to do SNL. Somehow, I doubt that Glenn will ever appear on that show. Just a hunch.

Speaking of Chris Matthews, Here’s Mr. leg tingles basically apologizing for his assassination jerk off fantasies: (H/T AP)

I agree with AllahPundit here; the dude lets his mouth outrun his brain. He has done this before. So, I’m willing to cut him some slack. However, I will point out, that me and AP are not the same person. I am much better looking. What? You don’t believe me? You ever see that guys mug shot on twitter; Oy. He’d scare a cat off a gut wagon! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜†

Glenn Beck Comments on 'Frog-Gate'

I saw this earlier and I was sorta awake and sorta not, when it was said… watch it:

AllahPundit quips:

Exit notation: I do not, in fact, blog from a basement. I blog from a small apartment, and shall continue to do so unless/until Google buys Hot Air. Weโ€™re not all homeowners, rich guy!

Lucky him. I have to blog from my parent’s freakin’ basement; no thanks to the lousy economy and because of my lousy credit; no thanks to a bankruptcy; caused by me losing my job, which was no fault of my own. Stuff just happens like that.

Anyhow, I loved the ending. “Step up to the plate or shut the pie hole!” You know political TV has crossed the rubicon; when opinion makers say “Piehole” on live TV. ๐Ÿ˜›

Interview: Katie Couric Interviews Glenn Beck

I noticed AllahPundit posted an excerpt to this interview and I went and checked; sure enough, I was able to snag the whole thing.

I think Glenn does a good here. He is quite careful not to fall into any of Katie’s traps. Glenn does seem to have some opinions of his very own. Some I agree with; some I highly disagree with, including his idiotic assertion that he is some sort of a libertarian. His position on defense and Abortion are classic Conservative positions.

However, I give the man props; he does hold to some decent positions that I agree with, and did criticize Bush; just as I did here. I also took great issue with his moronic attitude toward the auto companies; seeing my father is a retired auto worker. I found myself flipping him the bird at the part of the video.

One part of the video that I really liked was the part about Glenn realizing that he had to sober up and get his life right with God. I can totally identify with this. I am, in fact, the Grandson of a “working Alcoholic”; who never got help and ended up dead of cancer, by the time he was in his early 50’s. Something that this writer and blogger was on the path to doing myself also in the 1990’s. I highly doubt that I was as “far gone” as Glenn and I really did not have to go to rehab. But, I can tell you this; the mentality is the same, you can feel the power of drink and it does begin to take control of your mind. I am quite blessed in the fact that I had not lost control of my ability to stop. Something that I will always and forever more be grateful to God for.

Glenn also talks about his mother who committed suicide; something that I think takes quite the man to talk about to anyone; which less some semi hostile media type interviewing you.

The bottom line is this: All in all, it is a very decent video and I think everyone, Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans and Democrats should watch this video.

Enjoy…

To be quite honest. I do not like Scarborough, at all. He is, in my humble opinion, an sneering elitist prick. Same goes for that ditsy blond bitch sidekick of his. Yeah, I’d say that RHINO applies in Scarborough’s case.
