I want to begin this column with one of my all-time favorite quotes. It
comes from the great German reformer Martin Luther. He said, “If I profess
with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of
God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at
that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be
professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier
is proved; and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight
and disgrace if he flinches at that point.”

Luther’s trenchant statement reminds us that today’s Christians, especially
our Christian leaders, are conspicuously absent from the field of battle.
Oh, they may host large crowds in their gatherings; they may deposit
multiplied millions of dollars in their financial accounts; they may receive
thunderous applause from politicians, but they have fled the battlefield at
the point of attack.

For the record, the real battlefield today is not abortion. It is not
homosexual marriage. It is not Social Security. It is not al Qaeda. It is
not taxes. It is not inflation. It is not electing conservatives. It is not
posting the Ten Commandments. It is not even the high cost of gasoline. That
is not to say that those issues are not important and not deserving of our
best efforts and attention, because they are. But those issues do not
represent the major battlefield today.

The battlefield where the devil has amassed his greatest forces and is
thrusting his deadliest armies is the surrender of our national sovereignty
and independence, and the creation of global government. And it is our own
political and corporate leaders that are facilitating this chicanery.
Furthermore, by refusing to oppose this surrender, our Christian leaders are
complicit as well.

Obviously, the surrender of our independence has been ongoing for some time.
However, under Bill Clinton and especially under G.W. Bush, the pace has
quickened exponentially.

Doubtless, the biggest reason President Bush has more aggressively hastened
the pace of America’s merger into supranational government is because he
enjoys widespread support among evangelical Christians. Absent opposition
from Christian leaders, G.W. Bush has virtually had a free hand. And please
know this: before Bush was a Republican, before he was a “conservative,”
before he was a Christian, he was and is a globalist, as was his father and
grandfather before him.

Because our national Christian leaders are content to revel in the lap of
political cronyism with President Bush (and the Republican Party), they have
abandoned their positions as watchmen on the wall. Instead of being watchmen
and heralds of truth, they have become political lackeys and toadies for the
GOP.

Now, just yesterday, James Dobson declares that he “might” support John
McCain. This in spite of the fact that only a few months ago Mr. Dobson
promised, “I cannot and I will not vote for Sen. John McCain as a matter of
conscience.”

Ah, but that is just the problem: when it comes to groveling before the GOP,
our Christian leaders have no conscience. Hence, James Dobson is now
publicly saying he “might” support McCain.

The ones who are doing the yeoman’s work in trying to warn the American
people to what is happening in regard to the surrender of our country’s
liberties and independence are people such as Congressman Ron Paul and Dr.
Jerome Corsi.

Many of you know Corsi as the man who co-authored the Number 1 New York
Times best-seller, “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against
John Kerry.”

Jerome Corsi holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University in political science. He
is not some fringe-radical (not that Harvard hasn’t produced its own
radicals). Religiously, my understanding is that Corsi is either a Roman
Catholic or Episcopalian. However, Corsi is doing what James Dobson, Tony
Perkins, et al. should be doing, but aren’t: he is sounding the trumpet of
truth for the real battlefield.

In a nutshell, Corsi warns us that G.W. Bush is secretly working to merge
the United States into a trilateral government with Canada and Mexico. Corsi
maintains that back in March of 2005, President Bush, Mexican President
Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin entered into an
agreement that binds the three countries into a regional or hemispheric
government.

Corsi insists that this is one of the central reasons why Bush is so adamant
about granting amnesty to Mexico’s illegal aliens. Bush is simply following
through with his commitment to Fox and Martin.

Corsi also notes that this new hemispheric entity already has a name. It is
called the North American Union (NAU), and it is being created without any
input (or even knowledge) from our legislative or judicial branches of
government. The official name of the agreement made between the three
leaders is the “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America” (SPP).
Obviously, the new NAU is modeled after the already established European
Union (EU).

Folks, please be aware that President Bush has already committed the United
States to a regional or hemispheric government. When completed, this
regional government will control everything relative to the “security” and
“prosperity” of this new North American Union. That includes everything
relating to travel, law enforcement, trade, education, military matters,
etc. So, what is left out? Nothing.

Please remember, too, that all of this is being done without any input from
the American people or their elected representatives at the state or federal
level. I would even dare say that the vast majority of congressmen and
senators are completely oblivious to the fact that this is even happening.
With the attention of the American people (and Congress) focused on the
Middle East, Bush and his cabal of elitists are moving forward with plans to
surrender our national independence and merge our country into a regional
government. Friends, this is the real war; this is the real battlefield.

When America loses its sovereignty and independence, we will lose all of our
fundamental liberties. The Constitution will be meaningless and irrelevant.
The Bill of Rights will be moot. The principles of religious liberty, the
right to life, and the Christian foundation of our country will be passé.
And, as I said at the outset of this column, our national leaders,
especially our Christian leaders, are totally absent from this battlefield.

The surrender of our national sovereignty and independence is where the
battle currently rages; it is where the devil is at this moment attacking
(to quote Luther). But where is the Religious Right? They have flinched and
fled in the face of battle. They would rather hold onto their precious perks
of power within the ivory towers of partisan politics. Luther is right:
their actions are disgraceful.

I turned to look over my shoulder to see who had uttered that ridiculous statement.

“Pardon Me?” I squinted at the dark-skinned man who had just interjected himself into my over-coffee conversation with my buddy, Kevin.

“Obama ain’t black.” He said again more matter-of-factly as he walked around the porcelain dividing wall and stood at our table where he could be more active in our conversation.

“My name’s Andree,” he said as he extended his hand. “I couldn’t help but hear what you boys had been discussin’ and I don’t mean to stick my nose in where it don’t belong, but I couldn’t leave without settin’ you straight. Obama ain’t black.”

I looked at Kevin as he shifted nervously in his seat, not sure how to take this visitor to our table.

I will simply say the following, that it is pretty telling when Obama is doing better in White America, out in places where blacks are in rare supply, than he is in the more urban communities.

Finally – Ann Arbor Michigan Police stand up to Liberal smut producer

It is about time that the Police in Ann Arber stood up to this sort of Liberal smut, being passed off as “art”.

The Story: Police Presence Cancels Nude Photo Shoot (via WDIV Detroit)

A warning from police deterred people from taking part in a scheduled nude photo shoot at the Ann Arbor Art Fair on Friday.

Harvey Drouillard has taken nude pictures at the Ann Arbor Art Fair for years.

He has always pulled random people from the street to pose for his photo.

This year, he decided to let people know exactly when and where they could take part.

The shoot was scheduled to take place at noon in front of State Theater.

One of Drouillard’s models told Local 4 he was excited. “I’ve seen a lot of his work and what I like about his work, there’s a juxtaposition there you have a fully nude person just walking among a bunch of clothed people. I like the imagery.”

Police had warned Drouillard that he, along with anyone who modeled, would be arrested.

Drouillard asked police: “After 14 years of doing this every year at the art fair, I mean what could possibly be the problem with all this support here?”

A large crowd showed up to see the shoot, and chanted “Don’t break tradition.”

No one took their clothes off at the scheduled time, and the event was canceled.

Ann Arbor, Michigan — A bastion or as some would call it, a cesspool of Liberal Communism. In political terms that would be called “Obama’s people”.

Now, as a Libertarian, I believe in the freedom of expression. But even I have my limits on what I consider to be acceptable public behavior. I believe that this man should have the freedom to take his clothes off, and/or have people their clothes off as well, In a private building, somewhere. Not where small children could possible see it.

Do I consider it to be smut or porn? Yes, I am afraid so. This man takes pictures of naked people to display for a profit. That, as far as I am concerned, as a Christian, would be considered soft-core porn. That is, however, just an personal opinion and doesn’t speck collectively for the entire Libertarian Party.

I believe that the Ann Arbor Police did fine job in protecting the citizens of the city of Ann Arbor from this sort of Liberal display of idiotic nonsense. I am, however, disappointed that they did not make sure, that this man did not do, what he set out to accomplish.

This may explain the reason why I do not venture into the city of Ann Arbor much at all, that sort of latte sipping liberalism would fly in direct opposition to my Paleo-Conservative views.

Women that placed Bogus call that caused FLDS raid now wanted by Police

Good. I hope they catch this vermin and throw her sorry black ass UNDER the damn jail!

The Colorado woman alleged to have sparked the raid on the polygamous FLDS ranch in Texas with bogus tips may be on the run.

On Monday, an arrest warrant was issued for Rozita Swinton after she failed to show up for a court hearing on charges of violating her probation for one of two other false-reporting cases against her, court administrator Lori McKager told Salt Lake City’s 2News.

Swinton is accused of violating her probation stemming from her 2007 guilty plea for telling police she was a 16-year-old girl who was suicidal after giving birth.

Authorities have linked her to a phone number used to call a Texas crisis center thought to have triggered an April raid where more than 460 children were removed from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ Yearning for Zion ranch in Eldorado, Texas.

In case you all think I am being a bit harsh, consider this, how would you like to be living in your own home, minding your own business and suddenly have the police charging your property with tanks, because some idiotic bitch, called the police saying that someone living in your house was molesting children? I don’t about you, but I would be highly pissed. 😡

I think there’s another factor here to, and yes, I am going there. That factor is racism. I have denounced racism on this blog, at various times. I think that Racism of ANY form, White on Black or Black on White is totally unacceptable. (and for what it’s worth, I’m talking about REAL Racism, not this race hustling horse shit that Al Sharpton and his stooges come up with….) In case anyone has not noticed, the people on that FLDS ranch in Texas are White men and women, and the person placed this call, was black. If the tables were turned and a White Woman called in a complaint on a Black Religious compound such as the FLDS has, the Authorities would be burning up the city trying to find the person that was responsible for doing such a thing. But because it’s Black on White, the authorities are taking their sweet time finding her. Now you tell me there is not racial bias in our justice system. Baloney. 🙄 😡

Yes, I do believe that Polygamy is very wrong, but I also think phoning in a fake complaint to the authorities, because you happen to hate White people is wrong too.

Why do “so-called” Christian people do stupid stuff like this?

Egad. I sleep late one day and all sorts of silliness breaks out. 🙄

Bill Donohue has released the hounds against a blogger. He’s an Atheist. He wrote a rather “smart mouthed” post on his science Blog. Well, Donohue didn’t like it and issued an call to arms towards this guy to get him fired.  Well, now, the blogger, PZ Myers, is appealing for help.

Okay, first of all, in case Mr. Donohue has forgotten, there is a thing in this country called freedom of speech, this is not Nazi Germany, nor Russia, But the United States of America, free speech is a right, given to us, by the First Amendment of the Construction of the United States of America.

The very idea, that a man, who supposedly represents the largest “so called”  religious organization in the World, would attempt to repress free speech in America, is absolutely reprehensible.

I posted this, not for some stupid political ploy, not to be clever, but to remind everyone, no matter what your political stripe or conviction or feeling, You are, We are, all Americans. This is our land, and we should, at least once a year, stop and reflect on our freedoms. Now, any other time, I would not have given this a second glance, but seeing that Fox News just did an report on the ties Obama has to a former PLO member Rashid Khalid, this could bite Obama in the behind in a big way.

You would think that someone like Obama would employ someone in that campaign to actively monitor the site and watch the log files for sites like this to spring up. Because you just know that the Hillary supporters, especially the more militant ones, will create sites like this to torpedo his chances of getting into the White House.

My wife Connie and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary yesterday. Outside of the decision to trust Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, my marriage to this wonderful woman was the best decision I ever made in my life. Connie has given me three terrific children, and they have given us six spectacular grandchildren. None of our kids has been hooked on drugs or alcohol. They have not been arrested or jailed. (Although, with the way our government is passing laws contrary to the principles of liberty and decency, it is getting increasingly more difficult for any of us to stay out of jail.) They are polite, respectful, and courteous Christians. Our daughters-in-law and son-in-law are absolutely magnificent. We are all as close as any family can possibly be. As far as I am concerned, no matter what else I achieve–or fail to achieve–in this world, the family that God has given me makes my life a success. Anything else pales in comparison.

In addition, it seems to me that far too many people in our country overlook the importance of child rearing. Many seem to feel that just about everything else–job, career, money, "success," etc.–occupies a higher priority than raising honest, God-fearing children. However, Connie and I decided years ago that raising our children would be a priority in our lives, and boy, we are glad we did!

I’ll say it straight out: it does not take a village to raise kids; it takes loving and courageous parents. Parents who are not afraid to discipline their children (yes, Martha, I mean old fashioned spanking: applying the board of education to the seat of knowledge); parents who are willing to spend time teaching their children right from wrong; parents who will take–not send–their children to church; parents who will pray with their children; parents who care more about truth and right than they do about being well-liked or politically correct; parents who will teach their kids to say "Yes, Sir," and "Yes, Ma’am"; parents who are not afraid to say "No" to their children; dads who think it is more important that they be a father to their sons than a "buddy"; and moms who would rather their daughters had pure hearts than popular friends.

How is it that when it comes to leadership expectations, most people ignore a man’s leadership at home? It is almost as if parental leadership is a complete non-factor in judging a person’s fitness for anything. Now, please do not get me wrong: I am not suggesting that bad children cannot come from good homes. Goodness, no! I have seen very vile young people come out of some of the most righteous homes, and likewise, I have seen some of the most wonderful and Godly young people come out of the most wretched homes. I am only saying that real leadership is established and proven in the home first. Yet, it does not appear that too many people give parental leadership a second thought anymore. Perhaps this explains much as to what has gone wrong in our society.

Yes, I am aware of the various and sundry political and societal attacks against marriage and parenting. I see the many battles in the "culture war." I see the attempts to redefine the meaning of marriage, to wrestle control and authority of the home away from the parents, and to bombard our children with ideas and philosophies that will ultimately ruin their lives. And, yes, it could come to a point that decent families will be forced to make the same kind of choices that our Pilgrim forebears had to make.

That said, however, the power of marriage and parenting is still the greatest force in the world. Good families can stem the tide of humanism, socialism, fascism, globalism, or any other "ism" that seeks to enslave us. Good families can preserve liberty and independence, fight off totalitarianism, resist corporate elitism, and promote faith and virtue. Good families are the backbone of our country’s greatness, and the lack of good families will be the cause of our country’s fall from greatness.

Greedy, power-mad politicians are no match for a generation of strong marriages. Young people with character and courage trump purveyors of pretension any day. One principled champion–trained and equipped by strong, stalwart parents–will put a thousand moral weaklings to flight.

While Pharaoh built his monuments, a humble Hebrew mother taught and nurtured her son, a little boy miraculously drawn forth from the watery reeds. That little boy became the deliverer of his people. It was a Godly mother and father that produced the prophet who would anoint the greatest king of Israel. It was a Spirit-filled mother and father who produced the forerunner of the Messiah. And it was a virtuous, principled mother–not a government agency, educational institution, or commercial enterprise–whom God chose to bring the Savior of mankind into the world.

Furthermore, while the potentates and governments of the earth gazed steadfastly upon the might and power of the British Empire, no one noticed the humble homes of Colonial America, where mothers and fathers worked by the light of hearth and candle to discipline, teach, and inspire a generation of patriots unlike the world has ever seen.

Strong, committed, principled parenting has done more to change the course of history, depose despots, promote righteousness, protect virtue, and secure liberty than all of the colleges, corporate boardrooms, and presidential palaces combined. And who knows? At this very moment, mothers and fathers across America could be nurturing and training the next generation of patriots who will rise up and restore the principles of liberty and greatness to our land? I will tell you this: if parents do not do it, no one else can.

FALLUJAH, Iraq — At the western entrance to the Iraqi city of Fallujah Tuesday, Muamar Anad handed his residence badge to the U.S. Marines guarding the city. They checked to be sure that he was a city resident, and when they were done, Anad said, a Marine slipped a coin out of his pocket and put it in his hand.

Out of fear, he accepted it, Anad said. When he was inside the city, the college student said, he looked at one side of the coin. "Where will you spend eternity?" it asked.

He flipped it over, and on the other side it read, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16."

"They are trying to convert us to Christianity," said Anad, a Sunni Muslim like most residents of this city in Anbar province. The reason this angers me, is because when we went to war, one of the main things that George W. Bush said, was that we would not attempt to change the Iraqi people’s culture, religion or lifestyle, and what do we have happening here? Marines trying to proselyte Muslims. As a Libertarian, a believe that using the Government’s military to push a particular Religious belief system is totally wrong, and quite frankly unconstitutional!

"Multi-National Force-Iraq is investigating a report that U.S. military personnel in Fallujah handed-out material that is religious and evangelical in nature," the spokesman, Rear Adm. Patrick Driscoll, said in a statement e-mailed to McClatchy. "Local commanders are investigating since the military prohibits proselytizing any religion, faith or practices."
