Defending real Christianity from Daniel McCarthy’s smug papist idiocy

I have quite a number of sites in my RSS reader, one of which is the decidedly anti-Semitic — to the point of the publisher of the attending an occupy AIPAC demonstration —The American Conservative. In it today, I happen to see a blog posting by a one papist Daniel McCarthy, in which he basically accuses the Protestant Christian world of supposedly “loosing it’s mind.”

He then goes to blather on about how much more vastly superior the liturgical version of Christianity and the Roman Catholic Church is to the knuckle-dragging Bible Believing Protestant Christians. Which, in this writer’s opinion, says a bit, about this man and the condition of his heart. Furthermore, it does reenforce my belief that Roman Catholics are not Christians at all. I know that might bother some, but I have Bible scripture to back that up, as I am sure you know.

My direct response to Mr. McCarthy is: I suppose Priests, which are forbidden in the Bibledefending the abusers of children, as being victims, is the sign of how much more superior your papist doctrine and supposed “Christianity” is to ours? Furthermore, I suppose that the Roman Catholic Church Inquisition towards various people, including my Baptist forefathers was a sign of the vastly superior papist doctrine and so-called “christianity” to ours?  Also, I suppose that the systematic sexual abuse of young children, and coverup and justification by the Roman Catholic Church and its so-called “priests” is proof positive of the vastly superior papist doctrine and so-called “christianity” of the Roman Catholic Church? I really would love to see Mr. papist McCarthy answer these questions.

You see this, is why I have such an issue with so-called Christian bloggers, especially ones who are papists. The Bible has a word for it, it is Highmindedness. (It is defined here.) It is the very silly idea that somehow, his Church, which, by the way, is riddled with false doctrine; is somehow vastly superior than anyone else. This is why I steadfastly refuse to ever own or write at a “Christian Blog.” For the record, this blog is not a Christian Blog at all. It is a Conservative political blog, that happens to be owned by a Christian.  This is because I will be the first to tell you, that we Independent Fundamentalist Baptists are far from perfect, as recent events have proven. Although, I will be the first to say, that there were many of we Fundamental Baptists, including myself, who saw that recent coming from a mile away.

In closing: While the title of this blog posting might suggest otherwise; this should not be taken as an ad hominem attack against Mr. McCarthy. But rather a defense of Protestant Christianity and Fundamentalist Christianity from those who have an agenda against it. A perfect example of that agenda is in the writings of Mr. McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy and those of his ilk have tried to discredit protestant Christianity for years and this is proof of that. Well, someone has to stand up for those who choose not to submit to the utterly Satanic and without Christ Roman Catholic Church and it may as well be me.

The folly of the liberal left

Please take time and drink in the stupidity that is Kevin Drum and his idiotic liberalism:

I don’t write about national security and civil liberties issues as much as I should. Partly this is because I find much of it too grim to bear. But it’s also because it seems so hopeless: there’s really no significant difference between the two major parties on most of these issues, and therefore no real chance of any of them being changed. There are differences at the margin — Obama banned torture and Eric Holder at least tried to institute civilian trials for terrorist suspects — and during campaign season even modest differences become magnified. But really, there’s a pretty broad bipartisan consensus on all the big stuff: drones and assassinations and secrecy and military intervention and the ever increasing role of surveillance in our society, just to name a few items.

via It’s Official: No One Will Ever Be Prosecuted for Bush-Era Torture | Mother Jones.

Maybe it is because no one really actually did anything illegal and if legal boundaries were pushed, it was because there were actually people wanting to protect this Country from terrorist attacks. However, Liberals cannot be bothered with that; because they are too defending those who want to kill us. Yes, Abu-ghraib prison was horrible thing and quite the isolated incident, in which the people who committed those crimes were tried, convicted and served their time. Now, of course, those people are going to say, “Oh yes! I was told to do what I did!” Do you really think those idiots are going to say, “Yes, I was a treasonous a–hole and I admit that.” — honestly? One would think the smart answer to that would be no. But then again, we are talking about Liberal Democrats here.

Which brings me to my real point of this posting: This is precisely why I stopped voting for the Democratic Party. Because of the acute anti-Military attitude exhibited by them. This piece quoted above is nothing more than a nice way of saying that our own military are nothing more than “battlefield terrorists.” Something that has been expressed by the liberal left before.  This attitude is also found in the some of the libertarian and strict Paleoconservative circles too; which is why I am not too friendly with them.

When it comes to foreign policy, I tend to follow the Reagan line. Military only as a last resort — peace through strength, not domination of the World by military might and not irresponsibility by foreign policy disengagement.  I believe that Wilsonian foreign policy is wrong-minded and has caused more harm, that it has ever caused good. The outcome simply is not worth forcing western style of Government and Politics on those who do not want it.  Both Iraq wars proved it, Vietnam proved it, Korean War proved it,  World War I, which eventually caused World War 2 — proved it.

However, I do believe that defending the Republic is very important. I also happen to believe, that if we are going to fight wars, that we should actually declare a war, and do it according to the Constitution. This is something that I actually agree with Ron Paul on. However, the problem with the Ron Paul and his followers, and also with strict paleoconservative crowd is that they conflate or at least confuse the terms “defending the Republic” and “defending empire.” There is a fine line between the two and Ronald Reagan walked it very well. Ron Paul and the strict paleoconservatives, not so much. To be fair, Bush blew it too.

Not to mention that a good many of the Paleoconservatives have an issue with the idea of a Jewish state, not to mention some of them just outright hate Jews with a passion. While I might have an issue with some of the actions of some of the American Jews and their supporters. I have no issue at all with the Jewish State at all. This is one of my big issues with the paleoconservative right, and it is why I tend to distance myself from most of them. It is okay to be against Wilsonian foreign policy; but to use nuanced Anti-Semitic rhetoric to denounce it does nothing for that cause.

Now the difference between Kevin Drum and the strict paleoconservative is this; Kevin Drum believes that big Government is just fine, while the Paleoconservatives find big centralized Government to be terrible. Which is why Paleoconservatives will never be in the mainstream of Conservative politics; between the hatred of Jews and their state — and the unrealistic foreign policy — it is just something that is not ready for prime time.

The only reason, however, that the liberal left and their policies even remain mainstream, is because of the lip service and handouts that they give to the minorities in this Country. Otherwise, the Democratic Party would have been marginalized long ago. Housing meltdown and failed economics be damned; there people who will always support the Democrats and the left, because of what they can get them.

It is a truly a sad thing; but very true.

For the Record: Ron Paul will never be satisfied

This is why Ron Paul is not the GOP’s candidate for President of the United States:

Rep. Ron Paul said GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s convention speech left him “very skeptical” that the country’s economic policies will change.

“The speech is what I would expect,” the Texas Republican said Friday on Bloomberg Television’s “In the Loop.” “I remain very, very skeptical of hearing anything that will change the course of history. We have a debt problem. We have a spending problem, but how many things did he list to cut?”

Not enough, he said. The former GOP presidential candidate said the “most disturbing” part of America’s fiscal problems is the Federal Reserve, which Romney did not focus on during his speech.

“There was no talk of the Federal Reserve,” said Paul, advocating the elimination of both the Fed and fixed interest rates. “As long as we have the concept,” he later added, “we will linger a long time because debt is a problem and no one is willing to face up to it and I certainly didn’t hear that last night.

via Mitt Romney speech leaves Ron Paul ‘skeptical’ – Kevin Cirilli – POLITICO.com.

Ron Paul; for all the good things about him, this is one of his many flaws — besides his unrealistic foreign policy —- is that he is just too ideologically rigid. The only way that Ron Paul and his many legion of fans would be happy, is if the Federal Reserve were closed, the military were dismantled and America went back to gold standard. Of course, all of those things are just unrealistic at best.

He followed up those remarks with this bit idiotic nonsense:

So what’s his take on the Republican Party?

“Well, it is not my party. I do not like politics at all,” Paul said. “I think both parties are Keynesian economists and support positions that I do not like. So, the party, in many ways is irrelevant.”

Which is precisely why Ron Paul will never be President of the United States of America or thankfully anything else in the Republican Party ever again.  I mean, if the man cannot tell the difference between an Marxist and an Republican; then he needs to get the heck out politics for good. because it is quite obvious that he is not fit to serve in any sort of capacity.

The Bottom line is:

Vote for and support Mitt Romney — He might not be perfect, but he is much smarter than Ron Paul!

Videos: Mitt Romney’s convention speech video and speech video

I have to admit, I liked both the convention pre-speech video and the speech itself.

The intro video was quite moving. One of the moments that stands out, is the moment when Romney talk about love.  He sighs deeply and says, “You know, I just do not understand love.” This hit home with me, greatly. Only difference with me is, the young Lady that I fell in love with just was not in the cards for me to marry or God’s will, if you want to put a religious shine on it. So, I let her go and let it go.  But I know that feeling of being in love with someone. It is a deep emotion and I’ve experienced it in my day.

Here’s the intro video: (via HotAir.com)

The convention speech was great, even Reagan-like. Of course, there are some who are serial gripers and complainers; who did not like it. But for me, as an Christian, as a Conservative American; it hit right at home.

Here it is:

I believe that if this speech and the talks about Romney’s willingness to help others does not convince voters, that he is the real deal and not a rich stiff — then nothing will — and quite frankly, I really do not give a remote flip if we get their votes or not. Anyone that is stupid enough to buy the lies of the liberal left and vote for a Marxist President after this one’s horrible failures; they get the Government that they deserve.

In closing:

Vote for Mitt in 2012 – We’ve got a Country to save.

Video: RNC’s Ron Paul tribute

This comes via Mediaite’s Andrew Kirell, who calls it an “Epic Fail”:

Now, personally, I watched it; and I did not think that it was that overly horrible.  Still just the same, Andrew rightfully does point out the following:

The tribute did make slight nods to Paul’s belief in sound money and his fight to audit the Federal Reserve. But it ignored Paul’s fight to end GOP sacred cows like the costly and futile War on Drugs; his fight to protect civil liberties from executive overreach like the PATRIOT Act; and his battle against an unsustainable foreign policy of “maintaining empire” and playing World Police.

The video also neglected to mention just how Paul would like to cut the deficit.

Instead of the mainstream Republicans’ supposedly “radical” plans to cut from future spending growth, Paul wants to slash budgets left and right… especially the GOP’s sacred-cow national defense. He wants to end all corporate tax loopholes; something the GOP is reluctant to touch. He considers such “pro-business” tax manipulation to be synonymous with crony capitalism.

[….]

The GOP must have thought this video could placate Paul supporters enough to get their vote. Plenty of Republican officials expressed certainty that the Texas congressman will leave the convention fully endorsing the Romney/Ryan ticket. Despite Paul telling Fox’s Neil Cavuto that he has “no plans” to endorse, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said she is certain he will hop on the bandwagon.

But that’s just haughty. And wrong. Because until the party actually tries to change instead of occasionally throwing a superficial bone to Paul, then you can expect many of his supporters to maintain a firm position of “not voting for Romney.”

Want proof? Look to the little-reported fact that Paul’s delegates staged a walk-out immediately following the tribute video.

They walked out, and will likely continue to walk out, because the difference between Paul’s following and the GOP’s rank-and-file “Ew, it’s Romney, but we must support him” types is that the former truly believe in consistency and principles, and are wholly interested in maintaining it, while the latter seem blind in their belief that this Romney/Ryan ticket will somehow “save” the country while shutting out the the voices of actual change.

All very valid points, but I do tend to believe, that If I know Ron Paul like I think I do — he most likely is happy that he got any sort of a tribute at all and that his Son Rand is being accepted among the GOP mainstream. The reason I say this is because it was not too long ago that the GOP was headlong into President Bush’s Neoconservative nonsense and people like Ron Paul could not get a word in edgewise, much less a tribute from the GOP. So, I would say that Ron Paul is happy that his message has been accepted this much.

As for Romney my feelings are this here: As some of you might know, I have decided to cast my lot with Mitt Romney. I came to this decision last night, after watching the behavior of the left, when it came to Mia Love and Ann Romney; I mean sometimes, one must say, enough is enough and that I did and I have no regrets at all. I do have some doubts about Romney, but at this point; anything is better than Barack Obama. I mean, the man has been a horrible failure in many areas, even though I did not vote for Obama. I did kind of expect some sort of result from him. However, myself and many others like me in this position — got nothing.

So, I am in for Romney — come hell, high water and hacked blog. I am voting for something who will actually change things — for the good.

Special Comment: I have decided to support Mitt Romney for President of the United States of America

There are times when someone has to take a stand against the forces of evil. There are times when one has to make decision to go against the grain, there are times when one has to look at injustice and has to say aloud; this cannot stand and is not even remotely acceptable.  There are times, when one has to say, “To hell with family,” when one has to say, “To hell with the bigotry of those who want to use Religion as an acid test to one’s ability to Govern the Country.” As a 40-year-old man, who knows that the two previous Presidents have screwed us, when it comes to spending —- I have made a decision for America; and that includes taking a stand against evil.

As much, that I am quite aware of Governor Mitt Romney’s Statism, as much as I know that Mitt Romney said of the big three auto companies, “let them fail,” and then turned right around and lied about it.  As much as I know that Mitt Romney did craft what is now known as “Romneycare,” as much as I have some serious concerns about Mitt Romney’s being a true Conservative and not a RINO —- I have to draw and line in the sand and say loudly, “Enough is enough!”

The reason I am writing this is that I happen to stumble upon the news story of how Liberal Democrat voters are wishing for the death of Ann Romney.  This, in this writer’s opinion is a bridge too far. I watched Ann Romney’s speech last night and I must confess I was very much impressed. I also watched as Mitt Romney humbly sat and listened to Chris Christie sing his praises, not with a smug look on his face or with arrogant smile, but with a look of total humility about him.

Please, do not misunderstand me, I am all for freedom of speech and for the freedom of expression. However, this goes much beyond that; this is just pure evil and as a Christian, I cannot allow this sort of thing to go unchallenged.  My family for doing it may chide me, but I cannot cast my lot with a Presidential Candidate who is not even on the ballet in every state. It just so happens, that this election is the most important in the history of our Nation and because of this, I cannot vote for someone who is not even on the ballot in all 50 States.  For this, I am now officially rescinding my support of Virgil Goode and I am officially declaring my support for Governor Mitt Romney for President of the United States.

One of the things said at the Republican convention is, “We can do better.” Well, I happen to believe that we can do better than a Democratic Party President, whose supporters call for the death of the wife of someone who is running for President of the United States.  It is unacceptable and I cannot sit on the sidelines and not defend decency.

It is said that Democrats fall in love, and Republicans fall in line. Well, I am not falling in line, nor I am a Republican. However, I am someone who is disgusted by the actions of those who support the Party that claims to be an honorable political party. I can assure you, they are not honorable any longer and this sort of stupidity proves that.

So, from now on; I am done sitting on the fence and tired of watching the Democrats and their hypocrisy and doing nothing.  So, as of today, I am officially enlisting in the battle for the soul of America.  I am supporting Mitt Romney.

We can do better.

It is time to fight and I grew up in southwest Detroit! I know all about fighting.

Let’s go.

One of things that I did not like about Andrew Breitbart

…and no, it has zero to do with him being an adopted into a Jewish family.

What it has to do with is this: For some reason, Andrew Breitbart, as shown in this video and linked to by Glenn Reynolds — seemed to believe that America was somehow a Democracy. This is nothing more than a bald-faced lie, created by Big Government statists.  America was NOT founded as a Democracy, Democracies are nothing more than mob rule.

America was founded, as a Constitutional Republic. In fact, anytime any of the founding father’s mentioned Democracies, it was not in glowing terms at all.

Perhaps Glenn Reynolds should watch this video here for a refresher about America’s founding.  The sick part? Reynolds is a supposedly a Constitutional Lawyer.  My question is, which Constitution is he teaching, Venezuela’s? The sick and sad part, is that Reynolds and his friends will pan the video, because it happened to be produced by group that was smeared by the Neocon prince William F. Buckley — Himself a tool of the CIA and the Governmental establishment.

Of course, I do not expect Reynolds to even acknowledge this posting, seeing his Neoconservative friends have blacklisted my blog for linking and even going as far to flag my trackbacks as spam to prevent me from getting any traffic. Which is typical of the NeoCon right, using tactics right out of Saul Alinsky’s book.

Sorry to have to sound so offensive, but this is just one of pet peeves about the Neoconservative right. They have this odd idea that America is a Democracy, when in fact it is not. Remind me again, how are they, being the Neocons —- different than the left again?

I am just saying.

Updated: Open Message to Democrats and to CNN: This racist does not speak for the GOP or Conservatives

Just a bit of news to report, which comes via David Shuster:

And via Allen Colmes and Talking Points Memo:

An attendee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN and said “This is how we feed animals” before being removed from the convention, a network official confirmed to TPM.

The CNN official declined to confirm specific details of the incident to TPM but generally confirmed an account posted on Twitter by former MSNBC and Current anchor David Shuster: “GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”

It is not clear whether the alleged culprit was a delegate or attending the convention in some other capacity.

In a written statement, CNN addressed the matter but divulged few details: “CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”

TPM’s calls to RNC and convention officials were not immediately returned.

Okay now, this is where I get involved. This idiot obviously does not speak for the Republican Party, for the Conservative movement, nor the Tea Party movement at all. No more than Lyndon LaRouche speaks for the all the Democrats. They are called strays and both parties have them. So, before anyone starts calling the Republican Party racist, someone needs to set back and think a little.

Furthermore, for all we know, this dude could have been some liberal activist posing as someone in the Republican Party. For the sole purpose of making them look bad. So, don’t even go there, because we are on to you. 😡

Update: CNN is now reporting that it was two people and that has a whole new Meme by the left started. Basically, the left is whining about CNN; because they are not in full-on “OMG! These Republicans are racist!” mode. Maybe it is because CNN happens to be a bit smarter than that, and happens to know that you cannot blame an entire group of people or in this case a political party for the actions of a few stray idiots.  Now this is where I will start yowling on about what has happened to the liberal left in this Country and why I stopped voting for the Democrats. It is because the intellectual honesty of that party and the people who vote that way has gone the way of 8-track tape player. The knee-jerk reaction is to blame the entire party for the actions of two idiots, who were, probably, not even real Republicans in the first place.  It is collectivism, and it is wrong; and it seems, much to their credit, that CNN is just not playing that game. Good for them, for standing up to the neo-left and no playing let’s blame the right for everything game.

Thoughts on the RNC Convention so far

I am watching the RNC Convention over on CSPAN.  Which has a very nice design this year, by the way.

So far, so good. Some of the speakers are very good. Some of them come off sounding like empty-headed mouth breathers.

However, I will continue to watch. I am not voting for Romney, by the way. I am voting for this guy here.

More content to come here, as I check the RSS feeds here.
