Racism at VDare.com towards Detroit

A perfect example of which can be found below here:

So what happened to Detroit? MLK’s “Dream” came true…America’s founding principles of liberty, equality, and democracy came true for black people, and full citizenship and civil rights were extended to millions of African-Americans, who had previously been marginalized and excluded from the mainstream of American life.

And the result was Detroit as it exists in 2013.

via Caught In The Black Undertow: Detroit—And America? | VDARE.com.

That is not the half of it; go read the rest, at the link above. There is more nuanced racism in that article linked above than you can shake a picture of George Wallace at! Like I have written many times here before, Detroit’s problems are much deeper and more problematic, than skin color. Anyone who writes anything other than this; is one of two things:

  1. A racist bigot
  2. A misinformed rube
  3. Both.

Like I have also said before; if you are not from this area, you should seriously look into shutting the hell up about the City of Detroit. I, for one, as a citizen of Michigan and a former citizen of Detroit, of 19 years, I can tell you that the problems are much deeper than skin. The problems are of political and cultural nature; not race. Admittedly, the problems are of an entitlement sort, but to place the core issue of the problems on skin color just shows the racist bias of the person writing the article.

There are just as many white people, who are poor, by the way — and Latinos, who are taking part of that entitlement mentality, as there are blacks, who are taking part as well. It is not solely the blacks. Again, this goes back to the racist bigoted assumptions of the those who do not live in the City of Detroit. Hence my suggestion that these people please shut the hell up.

Two important quotes on the Republican Party Establishment

Pat Caddell:

Pat Caddell, the Fox News Contributor and Democrat pollster who engineered Jimmy Carter’s 1976 Presidential victory, blew the lid off CPAC on Thursday with a blistering attack on “racketeering” Republican consultants who play wealthy donors like “marks.”

“I blame the donors who allow themselves to be played for marks. I blame the people in the grassroots for allowing themselves to be played for suckers….It’s time to stop being marks. It’s time to stop being suckers. It’s time for you people to get real,” he told the audience that included two top Republican consultants.

Caddell stole the show as a panelist in the breakout session titled “Should We Shoot All the Consultants Now?” He spoke with a fire and passion that electrified the room. When the session began the large room was half filled, but as word spread of the fireworks going on inside, the audience streamed in. By the end, it was standing room only.

Breitbart News spoke with Caddell prior to his talk, and he promised he would deliver a “brutal critique” of the Republican establishment and its political consulting class. He did not disappoint, pulling no punches with an unyielding evisceration of a small group of Republican consultants, the Romney campaign, the Republican National Committee, and Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS Super PAC.

“When you have the Chief of Staff of the Republican National Committee and the political director of the Romney campaign, and their two companies get $150 million at the end of the campaign for the ‘fantastic’ get-out-the-vote program…some of this borders on RICO [the 1970 Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act] violations,” Caddell told the crowd. “It’s all self dealing going on. I think it works on the RICO thing. They’re in the business of lining their pockets.”

“The Republican Party,” Caddell continued, “is in the grips of what I call the CLEC–the consultant, lobbyist, and establishment complex.” Caddell described CLEC as a self serving interconnected network of individuals and organizations interested in preserving their own power far more than they’re interested in winning elections.

Jeff Goldstein:

In the years after the 2008 presidential election, and in particular, after my public chastisement of certain right wing sites for their having bought in to the establishment spin (as an aside, you don’t need to take my word for this, you can research it yourself:  look at the number of links I received from the top-tier right-wing sites prior to Obama’s ascension and then afterward when I started turning my attention to the problems within the Republican Party and its strategy makers and mouthpieces, whom I called out by name), protein wisdom was very obviously relegated to some sort of networking black list; people who once linked me routinely today won’t even follow me on Twitter, much less link back to the site.   Which is why I find the sudden return to a demand for conservative principles from some of those same sites who worked so determinedly to marginalize me both ironic and galling, and yet humorous in their cynical transparency.  That is, for those who wish to naval gaze.

All of which I mention only as a prelude to what many of us can feel is happening right now within the GOP:  a civil war, one in which the young TEA Party constitutionalists, far from backing down from the establishment old bulls (who are content to foist symbolic but feckless votes on us to “prove” they stand with us, while simultaneously surrendering their leverage in advance of every procedural battle in which they might actually affect change and slow down the march of progressive government growth and institutionalization), are actively — and, more importantly, publicly  — challenging them.

[…]

Aside from a few people left on the network, FOX News is not a conservative outlet.  It is the white-boarded symbol of GOP status-quo governance.  Similarly, the suddenly red-meat conservative commentators popping up in the online opinion circles?  I’d advise you go back and look at what they were writing in from 2008 before the TEA Party revolution, many of them having been caught completely off guard by it. I’d invite you to examine — regardless of the awards they are granted, or the incestuousness of the networking that keeps them extraordinarily influential — which types of Republicans they attack and which they support; if they have been pro-incumbent or pro-primary challenge; if they have counseled pragmatism or principle. If they’ve joined the chorus demeaning the “True Believers” and Hobbits and Visigoths, until such time as it became apparent to them that such people, and their message, is beginning to resonate with a revived and energized base.

Because these are the kinds of people who benefit from a perpetual state of political expedience, who blow with the political winds, as it were.  They dislike being criticized, and they are perfectly happy to freeze out those who they believe muddle the communication strategy they have determined is the right one — often quite wrongly.  They dislike debate and a free exchange of ideas, though they give lip-service to supporting it; they admire and seek to emulate the unified front of the Democrats, because they mistakenly believe that it is that unified front that secures Democrats electoral victories, when instead it is their own very determined decision to try to manage messages instead of fighting for principles that turns voters off.

And even now, many of them are trying desperately to cling to power, to maintain the status quo, because it is within the current broken system — the one that benefits politicians while screwing over their constituencies — that they thrive.  And they’ll be goddamned if any presumptuous set of “citizen legislators” — that is, those who aren’t looking to make a career out of living inside the DC bubble and adapting to its tony ways — is going to come along and upset their well-stocked, perpetually refilled apple cart.

They are concerned only with themselves and their own perks and powers.  And just because they wear an R behind their name, or sport a flag lapel pin and mouth conservative pieties from time to time, doesn’t mean they are at all on the side of the people, of the Constitution, of individual liberty and autonomy.  In fact, the vast majority of them reject such antiquated principles and instead seek to have a more efficient Leviathan running the lives of the masses.  And that’s deplorable.

I cannot say that I disagree with any of the above. I believe the Republican Party has two choices here; reform and change, or die. Hopefully, they will choose wisely.

Unreal: Sen. Graham claims Benghazi survivors ‘told to be quiet’ by administration

It’s stuff like this here, that makes my blood boil about this Presidential Administration.

The Video:

The Story:

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, in an extensive interview with Fox News, alleged that the injured survivors of the Benghazi terror attack have been “told to be quiet” and feel they can’t come forward to tell their stories — as he urged the House to subpoena the administration for details if necessary.

The South Carolina senator said he’s “had contact” with some of the survivors, calling their story “chilling.” He told Fox News that “the bottom line is they feel that they can’t come forth, they’ve been told to be quiet.”

The White House is denying any attempt to exert pressure on the surviving victims.

“I’m sure that the White House is not preventing anyone from speaking,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, when asked about the survivors.

But Graham said he thinks the administration is “trying to cover it up,” citing the valuable information the survivors hold.

“The best evidence of what happened in Benghazi is not a bunch of politicians in Washington trying to cover their political ass,” Graham said. “This is the people who lived through the debacle, and I’m going to do all I can to get them before the Congress and American people.

via Sen. Graham claims Benghazi survivors ‘told to be quiet’ by administration | Fox News.

I mean, this is not proof that Democrats cannot be trusted to run the Government, without royally screwing it up; I really do not know what is. I mean, with the Clinton’s it was the Waco Massacre and now this. To be fair, George H. W. Bush did not do very well at Ruby Ridge either; but Christ almighty, at least they were open about their screw ups.

The fact that this administration will not admit to any sort of cover up, and is pressuring the survivors to keep quiet, tells me that this Administration is in full on Nixon mode. They will do anything, include threaten people to keep their legacy. Which is why I refused to vote for this man at all. It is because he is a black racist; I believe that President Obama believes that the white people who were killed in Libya had it coming, because of what happened 300 years ago in this Country. I will believe that till the day that I die and nobody at all will ever be able to tell me any different. President Obama found those people to be expendable, and was willing to let them die.

It’s a bit more than I make!

I hate be a part of the right-wing echo chamber, but what the hell already! These idiots are bitching about a budget and they are doing stupid stuff like this, what the hell! 😡

Quote:

With the White House closing its doors to public tour groups in order to save money for the sequester, it’s worth remembering some of the other costs the White House incurs annually.

Like the “Chief Calligrapher,” Patricia A. Blair, who has an annual salary of $96,725, and her two deputies, Debra S. Brown, who gets paid $85,953 per year, and Richard T. Muffler, who gets paid $94,372 every year.

In all, the White House appears to employ 3 calligraphers for a yearly total of $277,050.

Despite sequestration, there’s been no announcement of the White House scaling back on calligraphers.

Okay, now that you see that I am not lying about how much money that I have; can you see now why this one just pisses me off just a bit? I am sitting here, making exactly jack crap and the Country is on the road to financial ruin, and the President and Congress are playing this silly little sequester shell game with the American people; and they are paying people that much money to write fancy?!?!?  Not only that they are using taxpayer dollars to do so.

This my friends is what the Republicans/Conservatives/Tea Party people are talking about when they mention the disconnect between what is happening in Washington D.C. and in the White House with what is happening in the rest of the Country. This is the stuff that makes me what to continue running this blog, because the same out of touch stupidity that went on in the Bush Administration is still happening in the Obama Administration! Nothing changed, nothing is any different! “Hope and Change” was nothing more than a damned con-job and the gullible American people bought it, because they had Bush fatigue!

I mean, again, I hate to sound like I am a part of the “right-wing” noise machine, but when it gets a bit hard for even a skeptic of the right AND the left to ignore; something is wrong, bad wrong and the President needs to fix his reputation and the Democrats image problem, before they get their asses handed to them in 2014 and 2016.

Two quotes on Mitt Romney, and my thoughts

The first is from Daniel Larison from The American Conservative:

The funny thing about this quote is how often his defenders and supporters would use this same argument during the election to protect him against criticism. Romney supporters often relied on his record as a famously unprincipled political weather-vane to defend him against any substantive criticism of what he said during the campaign on the grounds that he didn’t or couldn’t “really” believe it. Since Romney couldn’t be trusted, it was taken for granted that he never said what he “really” believed, and Romney supporters tried to make a virtue of their candidate’s worst character flaw. This was very often used as a way to get around his awful foreign policy views, but it was hardly limited to foreign policy. If Romney said something awful, it could be written off as mere pandering (which was, of course, simply more proof that he had no political principles that could not be compromised), and if he said something mildly sensible this was supposedly the “real” Romney coming through at last.

Of course, it never mattered whether Romney “really” believed what he was saying, because it became clear years ago that he would have said almost anything to win. In that case, it was a good bet that Romney was always more likely to lie to his audience than not, and for that reason he disqualified himself through sheer, overwhelming dishonesty. When in doubt, it was safe to assume that Romney was lying, and it was usually safe to assume the worst about his intentions. If there was a chance that he might cave in to hard-liners and ideologues in his party, there was no reason to believe that he would ever stand up to them. When the 47% remarks came out, it didn’t matter whether he believed what he had said, because he had been willing to say it and he had done so because he was so desperate to appeal to the worst elements in his party. As it was, everyone assumed that he didn’t believe what he was saying, but we attributed it to his unprincipled willingness to pander, which simply made his awful statements seem that much worse.

Meh. As a Romney voter, I believe that Romney’s problem was that he was not hawkish enough for the neoconservative right. Which is precisely why they did every darned thing under the sun to handicap his chances of winning.

And from Liberal Ron Beasley from the Moderate Voice:

It was fairly obvious from the beginning that Romney had no principals or real ideology.  He was driven by the belief that he was entitled to the presidency.

….and Barky Hussein in the White House was not? Please. 🙄

Boy… Between this liberal nitwit and the Jewish Right, I think I am going to have plenty to write about on this blog for a very, very long time to come.

UPDATED: How does a Jew get away with mocking the Holy Bible and Christianity?

Sorry, but this one gets up my nose a bit. How is it, that some Jew can sit and write a piece mocking the President of the United States, using the sacred text of Christianity; the Holy Bible, and in mocking terms, as using the King James Bible style of writing and nothing happens to him? How is that?

Check out this sloppy, nasty, and downright disrespectful tripe from this idiotic kike (Yes, I know that “kike” is offensive, it is intended to be, you want to disrespect my Religion, I am going to disrespect your Religion and your stinking ethnicity):

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of debt, I fear no bankruptcy, for Obama is my shepherd. He prepareth a table of food stamps before me, and maketh me lie down beside waters He hath cleansed and seas He hath made recede, even though the bad Republicans wisheth the earth to be burnt unto a cinder, and will not buy the electric car that is good, for it hath zero emissions, and receiveth its power from a power plant, which hath not zero emissions, but the ways of the President are mysterious.

via Mark Helprin: Psalm 23, Newly Revised According to Modern Principles – WSJ.com.

If someone like me, took a sacred text from the Torah and used it in this sort of way, I would be excoriated from one end of the Blogosphere and Internet to the other. But, yet, this Jew can do this and nothing happens to him at all. It is the sick and terrible double standard that we have in this Country and it needs to change. Christianity should be considered OFF-LIMITS to this sort of thing. Now, I have to wonder, would this Jew use the Koran in this sort of vile way? I highly doubt that at all. Because if he did, every dad-blasted Muslim terrorist would want his little Jewish head on a platter. So, he uses Christianity — the softest target on the planet. How quaint. 🙄

I am starting to think that we Christians, especially we protestants; need to start getting a bit more proactive in our belief system and start really defending our beliefs to the point of risk going to jail for it. Because I tend to believe that if a couple of car loads of Christians showed up at someone’s house, like this guy here, and maybe taught this little screwball Jew a lesson, then maybe he and his fellow Jews would think twice about insulting a Religion that is the only way to Heaven. Hey, it worked for the Muslims. Because of 9/11, everyone in American now knows what Islam is truly about now. Maybe we Christians need to follow their lead and start telling people what they can and cannot get away with.

Just a thought, and I would hate to see it ever come to that at all. But, sometimes, when pushed into a corner, people lash out and I happen to believe that some lashing out, by we WASP’S is very, very, very much overdue in this Country.

Just my opinion.

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
(Matthew 28:11-15 KJV)

…and they’re still doing it to this day, not to mention what they are doing to our Country. The Federal Reserve Chairmen and Treasury Secretary being primary examples.

Others: Power Line (Via Memeornadum)

Update: Folks, after some thought and reflection, I decided to write an update. I wrote this, because, quite bluntly — I was mad. I am a Christian of 30 year vintage, and I take my Faith seriously. I don’t wear it on my sleeve and I am not much of Zealot about it. But, I know what I believe. I also removed a few lines that would be considered inflammatory. My point was to defend and bring up that fact that there is a double standard in this Country towards Christians; not to incite violence. I hope it made you think, that is my job as a writer and blogger; to make everyone think.

Noted cowardly anonymous blogger slams Detroit

hotair
All Racism, All the time?

It’s a pretty provocative headline. But, it’s sorta true and sorta not.

I have written before about Detroit’s problems, so, I know full well of what goes on around here. I also happen to know that Detroit’s Auto companies sales are up too.

Anyhow, I guess Governor Snyder, in between supposedly bringing in jobs for this state, is appointing an emergency manager in for the City of Detroit. Quoting the Detroit News, a right-leaning newspaper, by the way:

Snyder said the city has not been able to solve its financial crisis and that outside help is needed. Today “is a day to call all hands on deck… to say there’s been too much fighting, too much blame, not enough resources, not enough people working together. The key answer I believe all of us want to get to is growing the city of Detroit.”…

The review team found Detroit’s cash-flow deficit is nearly $100 million. That’s on top of an accumulated deficit of $327 million. The city also has $14.9 billion worth of unfunded pension and employment retirement liabilities, according to the review team report. In five years, it needs $1.9 billion to begin making payments on the debt…

Greg Bowens, a political expert and former press secretary for former mayor Dennis Archer, said an emergency manager would be a devastating blow for the morale for the people of Detroit.

“In the end, it means the governor does not have the faith in the people of Detroit to govern themselves in a responsible manner,” Bowens said.

So, yes, Detroit has a cash flow problem and now the Republican statist is now going to try to solve those problems. Ah yes, fake conservatism at it’s finest.

That’s not what’s half bad about it; you have this anonymous coward blogger, from the state who’s mayor wants to ban everything that is good and enjoyable by its people. Said coward writes:

Why … yes, that’s what it means. I can’t believe there’s any serious constituency outside Detroit that would disagree, and Detroiters themselves would disagree only out of pure pride. The city’s a byword for terminal liberal sclerosis. How can this be a blow to their morale when their morale’s already reached this point? Look no further than their statuary to see that they’re desperate for a savior to ride in and impose order on a dystopian nightmare.

Yeah, and I suppose your little city up there is a capitalist utopia too right, Jeremy? Please. 🙄  The only reason why the Communist Party of America is not running New York City is because the citizens of the suburbs would not allow it and the Republican Party of New York State would stage a massive revolt. I suppose the only thing the City of Detroit’s people should do is just hang their hands and allow an outsider come and run roughshod over the City and impose his Faux-Republican style of Nanny-State Government. What a moron! 🙄

On The Oscars, Michelle Obama and Blog Comments

As you all know, I was unimpressed with Michelle Obama’s little hoochie dancing routine on that late night TV show. I was equally unimpressed with her video appearance on The Oscars two nights ago. For the record: I did not watch the show, I find such things incredibly boring.

However, one thing did catch my eye last night, and I feel the need to speak out about it. I am referring to a comment left over at HotAir.com, on their posting about Michelle’s appearance on the Oscars. The comment was as follows, and this, of course, comes via Charles “Ponytail Boy” Johnson of Little Green Screwballs, of whom I have no use for really; but I felt this was legit:

As happy as seeing Barak Obama murdered would make me, I think Id be happier if someone put a bullet in that fat pig of a wife.

Okay, this right here, is what I call very much over the line. I mean, it is one thing to talk smack about other bloggers; but the First Lady is over the top. If AllahPundit had any sort of respect for the office of the President of the United States and the First Lady, he would have not only erased the comment, but, he would have added the person’s IP address in the posting and forwarded the information over to the FBI. One of the rules on this blog is the following which comes from my Comment Policy page:

Don’t threaten the President either, or I will report you to the FBI.

What you just read above, which was quoted from the posting at Little Green Footballs and was originally posted at HotAir.com, was, in fact, a direct threat to the life of the First Lady of the United States.

Now folks, I am far from being a perfect person, I have done things in this little blogging career that I do truly regret; especially when I was still rooting for the Democrat Party and when I started out as a “left of center” blogger. But there was one thing that I never did; and when I saw others doing it, I called them out on it — and that is threaten the life of the President of the United States of America. My friends, that is not only legally wrong, that is just plain morally wrong as well. I dare say, that those who do such things, caught or not; are simply anti-American.

At the risk of being called a concern troll, I will simply say this: Putting all partisanship aside; The President of the United States, his wife and children are human beings. Human beings that have loving families. They are human beings that gave up a normal life of privacy, just so they could serve their Country. I would hate to believe that someone out who is that damned cynical that they would actually want to, or at least threaten to murder the First Lady of the United States. My question to you is this: Has American’s moral status become that rotten, that people would do such a horrible thing here on the internet? I find that quite troubling.

Remember folks: We are the United States of America. We settle our political differences at the ballot box. Calls for violence are usually brought by the political extremists. We are not a Nation of extremists, but of clear-headed mind. Let us not get caught up in the euphoria of foolishness, because quite frankly, it is a losing bet — something that Randy Weaver, David Koresh, and more recently Christopher Dorner found out.

Video: Juan Williams knows the truth about the leftist media

…and by the way: Everything he is saying is absolutely true. The leftist media and people are tolerate, as long as you agree with their worldview. If you do not, you are silenced. Just try submitting a conservative peace at Reddit and see how it gets voted. Then, try submitting a liberal piece there. Watch the difference. I have done it and I have watched one voted down and the other voted up. Reddit is supposed to be non-partisan, it is not.

Also too: For the record, Conservatives do it too. Just recently, I lost my posting privileges over at FreeRepublic.com. I can think of only one reason. I was not Conservative enough for them.

The point is that this sort of intolerance is wrong, for both the left and the right. The Republicans and Conservatives did it at Fox News during the Bush era, with the cutting off mics and now the Leftist media is doing it. It is still wrong.

Chicago is failing, Blame the Republicans!

Man, when CNN stops buying your talking points, you know you have a problem!

The Story via The Washington Times:

Chicago hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1927, but Democratic strategist Robert Zimmerman made the argument Friday that the GOP in Washington is to blame for the city’s gang and gun violence.

Mr. Zimmerman appeared on “CNN Newsroom” with Politics 365 contributor Jason Johnson and CNN contributor Ana Navarro, when he made the suggestion that congressional Republicans are undermining the troubled city with budget cuts.

“[L]et’s be very clear about what’s happening in Washington today, and why it’s undermining the city of Chicago — because there’s a mindset now in our government, in Washington, from the Republican members of Congress, that sequestration is an acceptable way of doing business, that we can in fact engage in these massive irresponsible cuts that no one thinks is a logical approach to budgeting,” Mr. Zimmerman said. “And that undermines law enforcement in our cities; it undermines so many education opportunities for our younger people, and it does in fact create an impoverished class of our society that leads to abuse, leads to violence and leads to more Chicagos.”

Fortunately, there are some people over at CNN that have something in the space between their ears and they just were not buying that silly little talking point and idiotic argument:

But Ms. Navarro didn’t buy the argument.

“Yes, I’m going to try not to roll my eyes at your suggestion that Republicans are the ones responsible for Rahm Emanuel’s city, for Barack Obama’s — President Obama’s state, for a state that’s mostly Democrat,” Ms. Navarro said. “Look, you all got to take responsibility, and you are laying the blame on Republicans and making this a partisan issue.”

Indeed they are. The Democrats will stop at nothing to blame everyone, but themselves for the failures of Chicago, Detroit and California. They will try and pin it on the Republicans. As for the sequester, that was Obama’s idea, not the Republicans idea and now that it is going into place, Obama is blaming the other side for the actual thing that he put into place. Nice try, but Americans, like me, are just much smarter than that.

However let me say this: This is nothing new at all. Republicans and Democrats have been blaming each other for their failures for a very long time. It is the classic political trick, pass a law, hoping it will help and when it fails; blame the other side. Been happening for years. Most of the time, the sheep of the world — the ones who do not pay attention and accept what his spoon fed to them on the TV, they do not know any better and they just assume that the Democrats are telling the truth. Which in most cases, as with the Republicans —- they are not.

Just the same, I find it very humorous that even CNN is not buying the talking points of the left any longer. Hee hee
